Colorectal cancer(CrC)remains one of the most commonly diagnosed and deadliest types of cancer *** displays a desmoplastic reaction(Dr)that has been inversely associated with poor prognosis;less Dr is associated with a better *** reaction generates excessive connective tissue,in which cancer-associated fibroblasts(CAFs)are critical cells that form a part of the tumor *** are directly involved in tumorigenesis through different ***,their role in immunosuppression in CrC is not well understood,and the precise role of signal transducers and activators of transcription(STATs)in mediating CAF activity in CrC remains *** the myriad chemical and biological factors that affect CAFs,different cytokines mediate their function by activating STAT signaling ***,the harmful effects of CAFs in favoring tumor growth and invasion may be modulated using STAT ***,we analyze the impact of different STATs on CAF activity and their immunoregulatory role.

Single atom Cu-n-C catalysts for the electro-reduction of Co_(2) to Co assessed by rotating ring-disc electrode

The electrochemical Co_(2) reduction reaction(Co_(2)rr) to controllable chemicals is considered as a promising pathway to store intermittent renewable energy. Herein, a set of catalysts based on copper-nitrogendoped carbon xerogel(Cu-n-C) are successfully developed varying the copper amount and the nature of the copper precursor, for the efficient Co_(2)rr. The electrocatalytic performance of Cu-n-C materials is assessed by a rotating ring-disc electrode(rrDE), technique still rarely explored for Co_(2)rr. For comparison, products are also characterized by online gas chromatography in a H-cell. The as-synthesized Cu-nC catalysts are found to be active and highly Co selective at low overpotentials(from -0.6 to -0.8 V ***) in 0.1 M KHCo_(3), while H_(2) from the competitive water reduction appears at larger overpotentials(-0.9 V vs. rHE). The optimum copper acetate-derived catalyst containing Cu-n_(4) moieties exhibits a Co_(2)-to-Co turnover frequency of 997 h^(-1) at -0.9 V vs. rHE with a H_(2)/Co ratio of 1.8. These results demonstrate that rrDE configuration can be used as a feasible approach for identifying electrolysis products from Co_(2)rr.

Factors affecting farmers’participation in watershed management programs in the northeastern highlands of Ethiopia:a case study in the Teleyayen sub-watershed

Introduction:This study investigated factors affecting farmers’participation in watershed management programs in the northeastern highlands of Ethiopia by taking the Teleyayen sub-watershed as a case *** were collected from 215 farm households which were selected from the four villages using a multistage sampling procedure,involving a combination of purposive and random *** were gathered using a structured survey questionnaire,focus group discussion,and key informant *** analysis,Pearson correlation analysis,and regression analysis were employed to analyze the ***:Findings of this study showed that farmer’s perception has a strong positive correlation(r=0.612,P=0.000)with the farmer’s decision to participate in the watershed management programs followed by government support(r=0.163,P=0.017),while the slope of the farmland and the gender of the household head have shown significant and negative *** binary logistic regression analysis also revealed that six independent variables were significant in explaining the factors affecting the farmers’decision to participate in watershed management *** variables were land redistribution,gender,agricultural labor force,extension service,farm size,and *** these,land redistribution,gender,agricultural labor force,extension service,and slope of the farmland indicated a negative influence,while farm size of a household exerted a positive *** study also examined the role of discrete variables in explaining variations of variables in affecting the farmers’decision to participate in the ***,two variables found to be *** variables are the gender of the household head and land tenure ***,the chi-square result of the variable(χ^(2)=9.052)of gender was found to be statistically significant at the 95%level of ***,the chi-square result(X^(2)=8.792)of land tenure security was found to be statistically

Hybritus:a password strength checker by ensemble learning from the query feedbacks of websites

Paleoenvironmental changes recorded by grain size of loess/paleosol sequence from the Chifeng City,northeastern China since the Last Glacial

The accumulation processes of loess in northeastern(nE)China record the varying characteristics of the East Asian Monsoons(EAM)and the evolution of the local *** this study,grain size end-member analysis of the Dajiugang(DJG)section deposited since the Last Glacial in Chifeng City,nE China was used to reveal the dynamic depositional characteristics of loess and environmental evolution of nE *** showed that the Chifeng loess comprises three grain size end-members(EM),EM1(7.38μm),EM2(49.4μm)and EM3(90.00μm),indicating the three transport dynamics of dust delivered to the *** EM1 represents atmospheric dust as the *** EM2,mainly derived from relatively distant-sources deposition,and EM3,material transported over a short distance,correspond to the intensity of southwesterly winds and the East Asian Winter Monsoon(EAWM),*** of climate reconstruction,combined with other records,showed that the climate was generally cold and dry with a strong EAWM and a weak East Asian summer monsoon(EASM)during the stadial-period[Marine Isotope Stage(MIS)4 and MIS 2 stage].The climate was predominantly warm and humid,with weak EAWM and surface winds and strong EASM in interstadial-period(MIS 3 and MIS 1 stage).Comparisons between indicators,e.g.,EM3,the Lr04 benthicδ18o stack and summer insolation at 65°n suggest that the strong EAWM is induced by increasing the northern Hemisphere ice volume and reduced summer so.ar radiation.

Software Project Management Approaches for Global Software Development： A Systematic Mapping Study

Global Software Development （GSD） is a well established field of software engineering with the benefits of a global environment. Software Project Management （SPM） plays a key role in the success of GSD. As a result, the need has arisen to study and evaluate the downsides of SPM for GSD, to thereby pave the way for the development of new methods, techniques, and tools with which to tackle them. This paper aims to identify and classify research on SPM approaches for GSD that are available in the literature, to identify their current weaknesses and strengths, and to analyze their applications in industry. We performed a Systematic Mapping Study （SMS） based on six classification criteria. Eighty-four papers were selected and analyzed. The results indicate that interest in SPM for GSD has been increasing since 2006. As a class of approaches, the most frequently reported methods （40%） are those used for coordination, planning, and monitoring, along with estimation techniques that can be used to better match a distributed project. SPM for GSD requires further investigation by researchers and practitioners, particularly with respect to cost and time estimations. These findings will help overcome the challenges that must to be considered in future SPM research for GSD, especially regarding collaboration and time-zone differences.

Porous media grain size distribution and hydrodynamic forces effects on transport and deposition of suspended particles

The effects of porous media grain size distribution on the transport and deposition of polydisperse suspended particles under different flow velocities were investigated. Selected Kaolinite particles （2-30 μm） and Fluorescein （dissolved tracer） were injected in the porous media by step input injection technique. Three sands filled columns were used： Fine sand, Coarse sand, and a third sand （Mixture） obtained by mixing the two last sands in equal weight proportion. The porous media performance on the particle removal was evaluated by analysing particles breakthrough curves, hydro-dispersive parameters determined using the analytical solution of convection-dispersion equation with a first order deposition kinetics, particles deposition profiles, and particle-size distribution of the recovered and the deposited particles. The deposition kinetics and the longitudinal hydrodynamic dispersion coefficients are controlled by the porous media grain size distribution. Mixture sand is more dispersive than Fine and Coarse sands. More the uniformity coefficient of the porous medium is large, higher is the filtration efficiency. At low velocities, porous media capture all sizes of suspended particles injected with larger ones mainly captured at the entrance. A high flow velocity carries the particles deeper into the porous media, producing more gradual changes in the deposition profile. The median diameter of the deposited particles at different depth increases with flow velocity. The large grain size distribution leads to build narrow pores enhancing the deposition of the particles by straining.

The impedance properties in po.arized piezoelectric can be described by electric equivalent *** classic circuit used in the literature to describe real systems is formed by one resistor(r),one inductance(L)and one capacitance C connected in series and one capacity(C_(0))connected in parallel with the ***,the equation that describe the resonance and anti-resonance frequencies depends on a complex manner of r,L,C and C_(0).In this work is proposed a simpler model formed by one inductance(L)and one capacity(C)in series;one capacity(C_(0))in parallel;one resistor(r_(p))in parallel and one resistor(rs)in series with other *** the traditional circuit,the equivalent circuit elements in the proposed model can be simply determined by knowing the experimental values of the resonance frequency fr,anti-resonance frequency fa,impedance module at resonance frequency|Z|,impedance module at anti-resonance frequency|Za|and low frequency capacitance C_(0),without ftting the im-pedance experimental data to the obtained equation.
