We designed and simulated a nano.bio.enso. to.wo.k in wet chemical o.tical pro.esses fo. the determinatio. and analysis o. gaseo.s o. liquid media. Fo. this purpo.e, the o.tical pro.erties o. materials have been studied, and by creating the relatio.ship between the refractive index o. materials and o.her o.tical parameters, the measurement pro.ess was carded o.t. In this wo.k, an o.tical filter based o. the pho.o.ic crystal （o.PC） was used. By creating an active enviro.ment fo. the interactio. between the substance and electro.agnetic light, a situatio. to.measure the pro.erties o. available substances in that active enviro.ment co.ld be pro.ided. Co.sidering that the defect created in the o.PC may cause disruptio. in its o.eratio., so.the vo.ume o. the enviro.ment sho.ld be limited. Creatio. o. defects in the structure o. the nano.bio.enso.s can increase the accuracy and quality o. measurements; finally by rearranging the created defects, the o.tput will be placed in the appro.riate sco.e. The accuracy is increased by applying the finite difference time do.ain （FDTD） mo.eling appro.ch in o.der to.analyze the wave equatio.s go.erning the structure o. the pho.o.ics crystal.

In this study,mixed co.vectio. heat transfer and fluid flo. is numerically investigated in an o.en system enclo.ure co.taining a heated *** o. the po.itio.s o. bo.h o.stacles and fluid flo. o.tlet o. the flo. field and heat transfer within the enclo.ure were *** number ranging fro. 0.1 to.10 was examined fo. a co.stant Grasho. number at different Reyno.ds numbers in bo.h base fluid and fluid mixed with Cu nano.articles(0 to.4%o. vo.ume fractio.s).It is fo.nd that the o.stacle and o.tlet po.itio. as well as the Richardso. number greatly affect the flo. field and heat transfer *** maximum heat transfer rate o.curs fo. Richardso. number 0.1,when the o.tlet and o.stacle po.itio. are lo.ated at the bo.to. o. the right side o. the enclo.ure(P3)and near right side o. the enclo.ure(8 H),***,the heat transfer rate is higher when the o.stacle is placed clo.e to.the inlet(2 H)and o.tlet(8 H)co.pared to.the center o. the enclo.ure(5 H).It is sho.n that altho.gh the change o. vo.ume fractio. o. nano.luid do.s no. have significant effect o. the flo. pattern,ho.ever,it enhances the heat transfer rate thro.gh impro.ing the effective thermo.physical pro.erties o. the base fluid.

Abstract： Undo.ed and do.ed KC1 single crystals have been successfully elabo.ated via the Czo.hralski （Cz） metho.. The effects o. do.ant Sb2o. nano.rystals o. structural and o.tical pro.erties were investigated by a number o. techniques, including X-ray diffractio. （XRD）, scanning electro. micro.co.y （SEM）, energy disper- sive X-ray （EDAX） analysis, UV-visible and pho.o.uminescence （PL） spectro.ho.o.eters. An XRD pattern o. KCI：Sb2o. reveals that the Sb2o. nano.rystals are in the well-crystalline o.tho.ho.bic phase. The bro.dening o. diffractio. peaks indicated the presence o. a Sb2o. semico.ducto. in the nano.eter size regime. The shift o. ab- so.ptio. and PL peaks is o.served near 334 nm and 360 nm respectively due to.the quantum co.finement effect in Sb2o. nano.rystals. Particle sizes calculated fro. XRD studies agree fairly well with tho.e estimated fro. o.tical studies. An SEM image o. the surface KCI：Sb2o. single crystal sho.s large quasi-spherical o. Sb2o. crystallites scattered o. the surface. The elemental analysis fro. EDAX demo.strates that the KCI：Sb2o. single crystal is slightly rich in o.ygen and a so.rce o. excessive quantities o. o.ygen is discussed.

The study was carried o.t to.evaluate the efficiency o. a natural co.gulant that is Mo.inga o.eifera seeds in remo.ing turbid fro. Malaysian water. Three water samples were used in this study subjected to.purificatio. studies using Mo.inga o.eifera seeds that were co.lected during two.different seaso.s that are dry seaso. (February-March) and rainy seaso. (o.to.er-No.ember). The treated water samples were tested fo. turbidity level, pH level and co.o. index. The result sho.s that Mo.inga o.eifera seed co.lected during dro.ght seaso. has the ability to.remo.e turbidity up to.88.0% and has better co.o. index co.pared seeds co.lected during rainy seaso.. The ability o. Mo.inga o.eifera seeds pro.ein to.act as a magnet assists in attracting the flo.ks and turbid in the water. Altho.gh no. as effective as co.ventio.al chemicals, Mo.inga o.eifera sho.s remarkable ability to.remo.e turbid and enco.rages the use o. natural co.gulant in water treatment plants as it is cheap and enviro.mental friendly.
