Allergic asthma is a diverse chronic respiratory disease characterized by the inflammation of the lower airway disease affecting many people around the world with rising morbidity and *** between asthma and certain demographic features was studied in relation to genotype from 244 allergic individuals of local *** prick test was used to confirm *** polymorphism in Glutathione-S-transferases(GSTs)was studied using multiplex PCR based method and IgE level by *** and dust were the major causative aeroallergens(26%),which were associated to higher IgE levels(P<0.05).Smoking was found to be significantly associated with asthma in only males(P Z 0.004).A low prevalence of null genotype of both GSTM1 and GSTT1 genes was observed in the patients(4.34%)compared to control group(14%).No association of combined GSTM1 and GSTT1 null genotype was found with the asthma in local ***1t and GSTTgenotype had higher risk(OR Z 1.3681,P Z 0.001)for development of *** was a significant association of asthma with combined genotype of GSTM1t and GSTTwhen data was analyzed on gender basis in males(P Z 0.006)and highly significant in age range of 26e40 years(P Z 0.001).Combined GSTMt and GSTTgenotype was found to be risk factor for asthma in addition to family history in male *** a data with large patient size and different ethnic distribution may reveal the exact etiology.

A computational analysis of magnetized hybrid Darcy-Forchheimer nanofluid flow across a flat surface is presented in this *** the study of heat and mass transfer aspects viscous dissipation,activation energy,Joule heating,thermal radiation,and heat generation effects are *** suspension of nanoparticles singlewalled carbon nanotubes(SWCNTs)and multi-walled carbon nanotubes(MWCNTs)are created by hybrid ***,single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWCNTs)produce nanofluids,with water acting as conventional fluid,*** partial differential equations(PDEs)that describe the ultimate flow are converted to nonlinear ordinary differential equations(ODEs)using appropriate similarity *** ODEs are dealt with numerically by means of MATLAB’s inbuilt routine function ***,temperature,and concentration profiles are explained pictorially whereas Sherwood number,local skin friction coefficient,and Nusselt number values are represented through bar *** radiation and activation parameters shows direct impact on flow ***,hybrid nanofluid admits a higher magnitude of velocity and temperature than nanofluid,but the concentration profile exhibits the opposite *** notable findings of the present investigation have significant applications in heat combustion and cooling chambers,space technology,the ceramics industry,paint and conductive coatings,bio-sensors,and many more.

Clustered organization of biosynthetic non-homologous genes is emerging as a characteristic feature of plant *** co-regulation of clustered genes seems to largely depend on epigenetic reprogram-ming and three-dimensional chromatin *** this study,we identified the long non-coding RNA(lncRNA)MARneral Silencing(MARS),localized inside the Arabidopsis marneral cluster,which con-trols the local epigenetic activation of its surrounding region in response to abscisic acid(ABA).MARS modulates the POLYCOMB REPRESSIVE COMPLEX 1(PRC1)component LIKE HETEROCHROMATIN PROTEIN 1(LHP1)binding throughout the cluster in a dose-dependent manner,determining H3K27me3 deposition and chromatin *** response to ABA,MARS decoys LHP1 away from the cluster and promotes the formation of a chromatin loop bringing together the MARNERAL SYNTHASE 1(MRN1)locus and a distal ABA-responsive *** enrichment of co-regulated lncRNAs in clustered meta-bolic genes in Arabidopsis suggests that the acquisition of novel non-coding transcriptional units may constitute an additional regulatory layer driving the evolution of biosynthetic pathways.

Recently measured high gamma ray values in the Yanchang Formation of the Upper Triassic in the Ordos Basin have added an interesting and controversial twist to the study of the formation’s uranium enrichment and *** uranium and thorium contents in the tuffaceous layer cause high gamma ray values in the Yanchang *** studies,major elements,rare earth elements(REEs),and trace elements have been systematically analyzed to determine the composition,geochemical environment,and diagenetic processes of the *** observed color of the tuffaceous layer in the study area varies from yellow to yellowish *** tuff consists of matrix supported with sub-rounded to sub-angular lithic *** lithic fragments probably derived from pre-existing rocks and incorporated into the tuffaceous layer during volcanic ***,plagioclase,and biotite were observed in well to poorly sorted form,in addition to framboidal pyrite and organic *** ratios of SiO_2/Al_2O_3 ranged from 3.277 to 6.105 with an average of *** ratio of TiO_2/Al_2O_3 varied from 0.037 to 0.201 with an average of 0.061,indicating that the sediments of the tuffaceous layer originated from an intermediate *** distribution patterns show sharp negative Eu anomalies,indicating a reducing environment,which is suitable for uranium deposition.A reducing environment was confirmed by black shale in the base of the Yanchang *** black shale has high organic matter content that can take kerogene from mudstone and provide a reducing environment for uranium enrichment in the tuffaceous ***,negative Eu anomalies and the REE patterns indicate a subduction-related volcanic arc environment as the magma source of the tuffaceous *** values of Rb,Ba,and Sr might be the result of fluid phase activities;low values of Hf and Eu indicate the involvement of crustal material during diagenesis of the *** diagrams(Th/Yb vs Ta/Yb,Th/H

The multiwalled carbon nanotubes thin-film-based electrode was fabricated by electrophoretic deposition and modified with copper （Cu） nanoparticles to fabricate Cu/CNTs nanocomposite sensor for nonenzymatic glucose detection. The expensive glassy carbon electrode was replaced by fluorine-doped tin oxide glass containing CNTs film to confine the Cu nanoparticles growth by electrodeposition through cyclic voltammetry （CV）. The ultraviolet visible and X-ray diffraction analysis revealed the successful deposition of Cu nanoparticles on the CNTs-modified electrode. The atomic force microscopy images confirrqed the morphology of electrodeposited Cu on CNTs film as uniformly dispersed particles. The electrocatalytic activity of electrode to the glucose oxidation was investigated in alkaline medium by CV and amperometric measurements. The fabricated sensor exhibited a fast response time of less than 5 s and the sensitivity of 314 μA rnM^-1 cm^-2 with linear concentration range （0.02-3.0 mM） having detection limit 10.0 μM. Due to simple preparation of sensor, Cu/CNTs nanocomposite electrodes are a suitable candidate for reliable determination of glucose with good stability.

We investigate structural,mechanical,thermodynamic,and thermoelectric properties of vanadium-based XVO3(X=Na,K,Rb)materials using density functional theory(DFT)based *** structural and thermodynamic stabilities are probed by the tolerance factor(0.98,1.01,and 1.02)with the negative value of enthalpy of *** properties are analyzed in the form of Born stability criteria,ductile/brittle nature(Poisson and Pugh's ratios)and anisotropy *** explore the electronic transport properties,we study the electrical conductivity,thermal conductivity,Seebeck coefficient and power factor in terms of chemical potential and *** values of Seebeck coefficient at room temperature may find the potential of the studied perovskites in thermo-electrics devices.

Sc-based nanomaterials have attracted considerable attention due to their unique optical properties different from those of Ln/Y-based ***,studies on Sc-based nanomaterials are far from ***,nanoscale alkaline(Ca,Sr and Ba)scandium fluorides were almost ignored for their stringent synthetic ***,we synthesize high-quality tetragonal phase Ba_(3)Sc_(2)F_(12) nanocrystals with uniform morphology and good dispersibility by carefully tailoring the reaction conditions,such as the molar ratio of reactants,temperature and reaction ***,the upconversion(UC)luminescence property of Ba_(3)Sc_(2)F_(12):Yb/Er(Ho)samples is investigated in *** doping concentrations of sensitizer(Yb^(3+))and activator(Er^(3+)and Ho^(3+))are optimized for the strongest UC luminescence,of which the corresponding energy transfer processes are also ***,tetragonal Ba_(3)Sc_(2)F_(12) nanocrystals can gradually transform into hexagonal Ba_(4)Yb_(3)F_(17) nanocrystals with the increase in Yb^(3+)doping *** work provides a novel type of Sc-based nanomaterials with strong red UC emissions which are promising in high-resolution 3-dimensional color displays,laser,bioimaging and biolabels.
