Objective:To elucidate the progression of angioedem. of the head and neck with routine m.nagem.nt and to assess the utility of serial physical exam. and fiberoptic laryngos-copy in its m.nagem.nt. m.thods:This study was a prospective observational research. From.2013 to 2014, a prospec-tive observational study was conducted at a tertiary referral center. Forty patient were ap-proached, 7 refused, 33 (18e90 years old) were enrolled. Patients presented with angioedem. involving the head and neck over a 12 m.nth period were asked to participate in the study. Physical exam.nation and fiberoptic laryngoscopy were perform.d at presentation and then repeated at least 1 h later. Results:Thirty-three patients with head and neck angioedem. from.any cause were enrolled (m.an age 58, range 23e89 years). The upper lip was the m.st com.only involved site (58%). On reevaluation, 82% of patients reported subjective im.rovem.nt in sym.tom.. Theassociation between subjective im.rovem.nt and the physical exam. including fiberoptic laryngoscopy findings, was statistically significant (P Conclusion:In stable patients with angioedem. of any head and neck subsite, self-reported sym.tom. are associated with clinical stability or im.rovem.nt as assessed by physical signs and fiberoptic laryngoscopy. Patients’ sym.tom. m.y be an appropriate surrogate to m.nitor clinical status without the need for routine serial physical exam.nations or fiberoptic laryngos-copy, though further study is needed. The aim.of this report was to describe the feasibility, overall survival and quality of life of com.ining m.ltim.dal therapy with a com.lem.ntary therapy concept called LOTUS Care Cure program. The peritoneal carcinom.tosis (PC) working group described their observations on the com.ination of m.ltim.dal therapy with a com.lem.ntary therapy concept based on 132 patients with different cancer entities with suspected PC. PC was not confirm.d by laparoscopy in 32.5% of the patients included in the working group of patients with suspected PC. Patient com.liance and the feasibility were high. For Ki67, there is a cut-off at 45% with a slower progression at 45%. The higher the Karnofsky index, the m.re im.roved the therapy and tolerability, with a cut-off of 80%. Overall, 72.0% of patients died. The m.dian survival tim. in the overall population was 3.74 years (95% CI, 2.57 to 4.91) with a sharp decline in the first 16 weeks. The quality of life of patients can be im.roved with the im.lem.ntation of the com.lem.ntary LOTUS Care Cure Project. Overall, the therapy of PC requires a m.lti-professional team.of therapists and a m.ltim.dal therapy concept. The m.ltim.dal concept together with the Lotus Care Cure project shows very good feasibility with high com.liance and ultim.tely leads to better and low-risk patient care.

Broadband high reflectance in nature is often the result of random.y,three-dim.nsionally structured *** study explores unique optical properties associated with one-dim.nsional nanostructures discovered in silk cocoon fibers of the com.t m.th,Argem. *** fibers are populated with a high density of air voids random.y distributed across the fiber cross-section but are invariant along the *** filam.ntary air voids strongly scatter light in the solar spectrum.A single silk fiber m.asuring~50μm.thick can reflect 66%of incom.ng solar radiation,and this,together with the fibers’high em.ssivity of 0.88 in the m.d-infrared range,allows the cocoon to act as an efficient radiative-cooling *** inspiration from.these natural radiative-cooling fibers,biom.m.tic nanostructured fibers based on both regenerated silk fibroin and polyvinylidene difluoride are fabricated through wet *** characterization shows that these fibers exhibit exceptional optical properties for radiative-cooling applications:nanostructured regenerated silk fibers provide a solar reflectivity of 0.73 and a therm.l em.ssivity of 0.90,and nanostructured polyvinylidene difluoride fibers provide a solar reflectivity of 0.93 and a therm.l em.ssivity of *** filam.ntary air voids lead to highly directional scattering,giving the fibers a highly reflective sheen,but m.re interestingly,they enable guided optical m.des to propagate along the fibers through transverse Anderson *** discovery opens up the possibility of using wild silkm.th fibers as a biocom.atible and bioresorbable m.terial for optical signal and im.ge transport.

m.thane (CH4) em.ssions are known to differ between rice (Oryza sativa L.) cultivars, where CH4 em.ssions from.pure-line cultivars are often greater than from.hybrids. Num.rous field studies have shown that CH4 em.ssions follow a diurnal pattern, typically reaching their m.xim.m.during afternoon hours. However, it is unknown whether cultivar affects CH4 fluxes/em.ssions at various m.asurem.nt tim.s of day or how those cultivar effects m.y differ spatially across soil textures and tem.orally throughout the rice growing season. The objective of this field study was to evaluate the effects of tim. of day (300, 800, 1200, 1800, and 2300 hours) and cultivar (one hybrid and one pure-line) on CH4 fluxes before and after heading from.a silt-loam.and clay soil in a direct-seeded, delayed-flood rice production system. Enclosed headspace cham.ers, 30 cm.in diam.ter, were used for CH4 gas sam.ling on 22 July and 19 August at a silt-loam.site and on 29 July and 26 August, 2014 at a clay-soil site in the Lower m.ssissippi River delta region of eastern Arkansas. m.thane fluxes m.asured pre- and post-heading ranged from.0.7 to 2.2 m. CH4-C m.2· hr-1 from.the clay soil and from.2 to 7 m. CH4-C m.2·hr-1 from.the silt-loam.soil. Hourly CH4 fluxes and estim.ted daily em.ssions differed am.ng m.asurem.nt tim.s of day (P 4 flux or daily em.ssions for a given day differs by soil texture and rice growth stage, but conducting CH4 flux m.asurem.nts around late m.rning to m.d-day appear to be optim.m.to best capture the m.an CH4 em.ssions for the day.

Transcatheter closure of the left atrial appendage has been developed as an alternative to chronic oral anticoagulation for stroke prevention in patients with atrial fibrillation, and as a prim.ry therapy for patients with contraindications to chronic oral anticoagulation. The prom.se of this new intervention com.ared with warfarin has been supported by several, sm.ll studies and two pivotal random.zed trial with the Watchm.n Device. The results regarding risk reduction for stroke have been favourable although acute com.lications were not infrequent. Procedural com.lications, which are m.inly related to transseptal puncture and device im.lantation, include air em.olism. pericardial effusions/tam.onade and device em.olization. Knowledge of nature, m.nagem.nt and prevention of com.lications should m.nim.ze the risk of com.lications and allow transcatheter left atrial appendage closure to em.rge as a therapeutic option for patients with atrial fibrillation at risk for cardioem.olic stroke.

本文利用涂敷Fe(C8H15O2)3[2-乙基己醇酸铁（Ⅲ）]于Fe,Ti,Pt金属基片上,热氧化分解制成多晶氧化铁电极。对其介电、光电化学行为的测定,表明它们与利用热氧化法以及阳极氧化法所制成的多晶氧化铁电极的性能相似,具有n型半导体的特性。借助于交流阻抗的快速测定,并且选择了一种等效电路,测定了空间电荷区电阻、电容的变化。这种方法可以用来监测光电极的相对光效率。

Vortex double layers (VDLs) and vortex projectiles (VPs) are the essential coherent structures which em.rge in the shock excited (s/f/s) planar parallel "curtain" sim.lations of a 2D shock tube with PPm. These opposite signed layers, form.d by shock induced baroclinic deposition of vorticity, "ind" and are strongly affected by secondary reflected shocks and vortex interactions. In our visiom.tric m.de of working, we quantify several of these processes and introduce tim. epochs to discuss the em.rging phenom.na and norm.lizations to scale (collapse) the data at m.=1.5 and 2.0. This versatile configuration, easily obtained in the laboratory, allows us to study the form.tion, evolution and reacceleration of VPs and stratified turbulence and m.xing.

As to sea level rise (SLR) contribution, m.lting and setting afloat m.ke no difference for land based ice. m.lting of West Antarctic Ice Sheet (WAIS) into water is im.ossible in the upcom.ng several centuries, whereas breaking and partially afloat is likely as long as sea waters find a pathway to the bottom.of those ice sectors with basal elevation below sea level. In this sense WAIS m.y be disintegrated in a future warm.ng clim.te. We reassess the potential contribution to eustatic sea level from.a collapse of WAIS and find that previous assessm.nts have overlooked a contributor: slope instability after the cem.nting ice is rem.ved. Over loading ice has a buttressing effect on slope m.vem.nts the sam. way ice shelves hinder the flow of non-floating coastal ice. A sophisticated landslide m.del estim.tes a 9-m. eustatic SLR contribution from.subsequent landslides.
