Energy management benefits both consumers and utility companiesalike. Utility companies remain interested in identifying and reducing energywaste and theft, whereas consumers’ interest remain in lowering their energyexpenses. A large supply-demand gap of over 6 GW exists in Pakistan asreported in 2018. Reducing this gap from the supply side is an expensiveand complex task. However, efficient energy management and distributionon demand side has potential to reduce this gap economically. Electricityload forecasting models are increasingly used by energy managers in takingreal-time tactical decisions to ensure efficient use of resources. Advancementin Machine-learning (ML) technology has enabled accurate forecasting ofelectricity consumption. However, the impact of computation cost affordedby these ML models is often ignored in favour of accuracy. This studyconsiders both accuracy and computation cost as concurrently significantfactors because together they shape the technology environment as well ascreate economic impact. Thus, a three-fold optimized load forecasting modelis proposed which includes (1) application specific parameters selection, (2)impact of different dataset granularities and (3) implementation of specificdata preparation. It deploys and compares the widely used back-propagationArtificial Neural Network (ANN) and Random Forest (RF) models for theprediction of electricity consumption of buildings within a university. In addition to the temporal and historical power consumption date as input parameters, the study also embeds weather data as well as university operationalcalendars resulting in improved performance. The outcomes are indicativethat the granularity i.e. the scale of details in data, and set of reduced and fullinput parameters impact performance accuracies differently for ANN and RFmodels. Experimental results show that overall RF model performed betterboth in terms of accuracy as well as computational time for a 1-min, 15-minand 1-h dataset

Social distancing and self-isolation management are crucial preventive measures that can save millions of lives during challenging pandemics of diseases such as the Spanish u,swine u,and coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).This study describes the comprehensive and effective implementation of the Industrial Internet of Things and machine-to-machine technologies for social distancing and smart self-isolation *** technologies can help prevent outbreaks of any disease that can disperse widely and develop into a ***,a smart wristband is proposed that incorporates Bluetooth beacon technology to facilitate the tracing and tracking of Bluetooth Low Energy beacon packets for smart contact ***,the connectivity of the device with Android or iOS applications using long-term evolution technology is realized to achieve ***,mathematical formulations are proposed to measure the distance between coordinates in order to detect geo-fencing *** formulations are specically designed for the virtual circular and polygonal boundaries used to restrict suspected or infected persons from trespassing in predetermined areas,e.g.,at home,in a hospital,or in an isolation *** proposed framework outperforms existing solutions,since it is implemented on a wider scale,provides a range of functionalities,and is cost-effective.

Background: The need to establish a strong culture around radiation safety is derived from the assertion that medical practitioners, patients, and third parties should not be exposed to unnecessary radiation. Authorities have endeavored to enact policies to protect all employers and patients in radiology departments. Objectives: To assess the impact of radiation safety practices and regulations on the ongoing improvements in radiation safety culture and practices in radiology departments. This will be achieved through a subjective assessment of national and international rules and regulations by healthcare professionals. Materials and Methods: We conducted a questionnaire survey in the radiology departments of three JCI-accredited hospitals in the Riyadh region to identify and assess the impact of national radiation regulations and the accompanying processes on the improvement of radiation safety culture and practices in radiology departments. Results: There were statistically significant differences in the grading system results among various groups of respondents, based on their educational level. Also, there are statistically significant differences between the assessments of safety level results in the answers provided by various groups of respondents according to education level in favor of the master’s degree. Conclusion: The study concludes that technicians with a diploma degree require stricter regulation. Furthermore, the results of this study suggest that an exposure tracking system and a regulatory action supporting it may be useful in the ongoing task of improving patients’ radiation safety.

With the large number of MPPT techniques, each having some merits and demerits, confusion is always there for their proper selection. Discussion on various proposed procedures for maximum power point tracking of photovoltaic array has been done. Based on different parameters analysis of MPPT techniques is carried out. This assessment will serve as a suitable reference for selection, understanding different ways and means of MPPT.

Objective To investigate the risk factors of symptomatic bradyarrhythrnias in relation to β-blockers use. Methods A hospital-based case-control study [228 patients： 108 with symptomatic bradyarrhythmias （cases） and 120 controls] was conducted in Sultanah Aminah Hospital, Malaysia between January 2011 and January 2014. Results The mean age was 61.1 ~ 13.3 years with a majority of men （68.9%）. Cases were likely than control to be older, hypertensive, lower body mass index and concomitant use of rate-controlling drugs （such as digoxin, verapamil, diltiazem, ivabradine or amiodarone）. Significantly higher level of serum potassium, urea, creatinine and lower level of estimated glomerular filtration rate （eGFR） were observed among cases as compared to controls. On univariate analysis among patients on β-blockers, older age （crude OR： 1.07; 95% CI： 1.03-1.11, P = 0.000）, hypertension （crude OR： 5.6; 95% CI： 1.51-20.72, P = 0.010）, lower sodium （crude OR： 0.04; 95% CI： 0.81-0.99, P = 0.036）, higher potassium （crude OR： 2.36; 95% CI： 1.31-4.26, P = 0.004） and higher urea （crude OR： 1.23; 95% CI： 1.11-1.38, P = 0.000） were associated with increased risk of symptomatic bradyarrhythmias; eGFR was inversely and significantly associated with symptomatic bradyarrhythmias in both ＇β-blockers＇（crude OR： 0.97; 95% CI： 0.964）.98, P = 0.000） and ＇non-β-blockers＇（crude OR： 0.99; 95% CI： 0.97-0.99, P = 0.023） arms. However, eGFR was not significantly associated with symptomatic bradyarrhythmias in the final model of both ＇β-blockers＇（adjusted OR： 0.98; 95% CI： 0.96-0.98, P = 0.103） and ＇non-p-blockers＇（adjusted OR： 0.99; 95% CI： 0.97-1.01, P = 0.328） arms. Importantly, older age was a significant predictor of symptomatic bradyarrhythmias in the ＇β-blockers＇ as compared to the ＇non-β-blockers＇ arms （adjusted OR： 1.09; 95% CI： 1.03-1.15, P = 0.003 vs. adjusted OR： 1.03; 95% CI： 0.98-1.09, P = 0.232, respectively）. Spinal dural arteriovenous fistulas account for the majority of spinal vascular *** are typically located in the thoracolumbar region and are diagnosed in the middle-aged and elderly *** spinal dural arteriovenous fistulas have been postulated to be acquired,their exact development remains ***,the arteriovenous shunt is situated close to the spinal nerve root,inside the dura mater,where the blood from the radiculomeningeal artery and radicular vein *** history,there have been multiple classification systems of spinal arteriovenous shunts since *** were mainly based on the evolution of diagnostic studies as well as the treatment of these *** classification systems have undergone significant changes over the *** intracranial dural arteriovenous fistula,spinal dural arteriovenous fistula is progressive in *** neurological manifestations,due to venous congestion,tend to be insidious as well as *** include sensory deficits,such as paresthesia,bilateral and/or unilateral radicular pain affecting the lower limbs,and gait *** dural arteriovenous fistulas can be suspected on magnetic resonance imaging/magnetic resonance angiography and confirmed by digital subtraction angiography(DSA).The management includes surgery,endovascular therapy,and in selected cases,*** treatment goal of spinal dural arteriovenous fistula is to halt the progression of the *** prognosis depends on both the duration of symptoms as well as the clinical condition prior to *** present article comprehensively reviews the pathophysiology,changes in classification systems,natural history,clinical manifestations,radiological features,management,and prognosis.
