探讨马来西亚社区大学高收入毕业生职业生涯发展中的妥协问题。当毕业生面对个人与工作特性不匹配时,必须做出妥协,即只有放弃或者调整职业发展目标才能获得真正的成功。本研究采用多案例研究法,探讨影响妥协的四个因素和调整职业生涯目标的三个妥协过程。影响妥协的因素分别是:有限的就业前景、性别限制、家庭不支持、经济不景气。妥协的表现有:接受声望不太高的工作,选择要求更高、更具有挑战性的工作,选择学习深造。

An image retrieval system was developed purposely to provide an efficient tool for a set of images from a collection of images in the large database that matches the user’s requirements in similarity evaluations such as image content similarity, edge, and colour similarity. Retrieving images based on the contents which are colour, texture, and shape is called content-based image retrieval（CBIR）. This paper discusses and describes about the colour features technique for image retrieval systems. Several colour features technique and algorithms produced by the previous researcher are used to calculate the similarity between extracted features. This paper also describes about the specific technique about the colour basis features and combined features（hybrid techniques） between colour and shape features.

Adult mosquito sampling techniques are essential for monitoring transmission of malaria and other mosquito borne infections. Preference for any sampling technique depends on both its field efficiency and the characteristics of local vector populations. Surveys on adult mosquitoes using Human Landing Catch (HLC) and CO2-baited CDC light trap (CDC-LT) techniques were conducted in several knowlesi malaria endemic areas between the months of March to December 2012 in several states of Peninsula Malaysia. These two techniques were relatively compared to determine the preferences of anopheline mosquitoes towards CO2-baited CDC-LT technique using HLC technique as the reference method. Cx. gelidus, An. maculates and An. introlatus were the main three species collected by HLC technique, whereas the species collected by CO2-baited CDC-LT technique were mostly An. cracens, Ar. durhami and Coquillettidia species. Most of the Anopheles species were collected almost exclusively by the human collectors except for An. cracens and An. introlatus which were collected using both techniques. Anopheles cracens was the most dominant species captured using CO2-baited CDC-LT technique. This is the first report showing An. cracens was caught using CO2-baited CDC-LT technique in Malaysia.

General theory of relativity predicts the central densities of massive neutron stars (-MANs) to be much larger than the nuclear density. In the absence of energy production, the lifetimes of MANs should be shorter that their low-mass counterparts. Yet neither black holes nor neutron stars, whose masses are between two and five solar masses have ever been observed. Also, it is not clear what happened to the old MANs that were created through the collapse of first generation of stars shortly after the Big Bang. In this article, it is argued that MANs must end as completely invisible objects, whose cores are made of incompressible quark-gluon-superfluids and that their effective masses must have doubled through the injection of dark energy by a universal scalar field at the background of supranuclear density. It turns out that recent glitch observations of pulsars and young neutron star systems and data from particle collisions at the LHC and RHIC are in line with the present scenario.

Conventional petrophysical investigations are based on P-wave seismic velocity analysis to predict density information, while ignoring the important S-wave velocity. This study is based on S-wave velocity analysis of density estimation of Meyal Oil Field(Potwar Plateau, Pakistan), which reveals a very high correlation(R=0.87) between predicted and actual density. Since the availability of S-wave velocity(Vs) data increases, it’s highly appreciable to take into account the contribution of Vs in improvement of density estimates. This investigation only focuses on driving new constants(a = 1.92 and b = 0.186) for Gardner’s relationship to estimate density of pure carbonates(Vshnor to extend information over what information can possibly be extractable from Vp. However, our research does stimulate the growing use of Vs and importance of local unknown constants especially in carbonates reservoir interval to avoid misuse of most widely used Gardner relation in all geological settings.

This study aims to assess and compare levels of particulate matter(PM10 and PM2.5)in urban and industrial areas in Malaysia during haze episodes,which typically occur in the south west monsoon *** high concentrations of atmospheric particles are mainly due to pollution from neighbouring *** PM concentrations were analysed for urban and industrial areas including Alor Setar,Tasek,Shah Alam,Klang,Bandaraya Melaka,Larkin,Balok Baru,and Kuala Terengganu in 2018 and *** analysis employed spatiotemporal to examine how PM levels were *** data summary revealed that PM levels in all study areas were right-skewed,indicating the occurrence of high particulate *** peaks in PM concentrations during haze events were consistently observed between June and October,encompassing the south west monsoon and inter-monsoon *** study on acute respiratory illnesses primarily focused on *** revealed that Klang had the highest mean number of inpatient cases for acute exacerbation of bronchial asthma(AEBA)and acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(AECOPD)with values of 260.500 and 185.170,***,for outpatient cases of AEBA and AECOPD,Klang had the highest average values of 41.67 and 14.00,*** Alam and Sungai Buloh did not show a significant increase in cases during periods of biomass *** statistical analysis concluded that higher concentrations of PM were associated with increased hospital admissions,particularly from June to September,as shown in the bar *** episodes were associated with more healthcare utilization due to haze-related respiratory illnesses,seen in higher inpatient and outpatient visits(p<0.05).However,seasonal variability had minimal impact on healthcare *** findings offer a comprehensive assessment of PM levels during historic haze episodes,providing valuable insights for authorities to develop policies and guidelines fo

Efficient Performance of Locally Processed Serum in Vero Cell Culture

Serum is a vital supplement in animal cell culture. Serum used in animal cell culture is from bovine source marketed by different companies, and somewhat expensive. The aims of this work were serum treatment and screening for the best serum concentration for Vero cell culture using STATISTICA software. The best result obtained from the software was used to compare with different commercial serum (GIBCOTM and PAA). Local serum was prepared first by aseptically collecting 500 mL whole blood from disease free cattle using 50 mL anticoagulant free centrifuge tubes. Whole blood was centrifuged to separate serum and blood cells. Serum collected was treated with ultraviolet radiation and heat inactivated for 30 min at 56 °C. Vero cells were cultured in 25 cm2 T- flasks with an initial cell seeding of 4.2 × 105 cells/mL. Results obtained showed that locally made serum is comparable in terms of maximum viable cell numbers (8.0 × 105 cells/mL) compared to commercial bovine serum (8.5 × 105 cell/mL and 6.78 × 105 cell/mL) for GIBCO and PAA respectively after four days. From the study, locally prepared serum can be substituted to the commercial sera for Vero cell culture.

New Approach to Approximate Circular Arc by Quartic Bezier Curve

This paper presents a result of approximation an arc circles by using a quartic Bezier curve. Based on the barycentric coordinates of two and three combination of control points, the interior control points are determined by forcing the curvature at median point as similar as the given curvature at end points. Hausdorff distance is used to investigate the order of accuracy compare to the actual arc circles through central angle of . We found that the optimal approximation order is eight which is somewhat similar to preceding methods in the literatures.

Newspaper contains abundant information which enables to enhance the teenagers" knowledge. Nevertheless, in the current situation, the teenagers" acceptance of newspaper is declining due to the lack of interest in reading this kind of medium. Looking at this scenario, the objective of this study is to investigate the relationship between belief factors and the teenagers" acceptance of the newspapers. Specifically, these research objectives are: to identifies the types of news which are chosen by teenagers and to investigate the belief factors which are associated with the teenagers" acceptance to the newspaper. The results show that entertainment news seem to be the teenagers" most preferences. At the same time, newspaper is accepted by the teenagers due to their belief factor in the newspaper reporting such as social concern, selection of topics, and selection of facts, and assessment of reporter. In conclusion, it is hoped that the results of this study will be able to assist the newspaper institutions to publish contents related to education and knowledge. So that the newspapers could be one of the leading learning references apart from the school textbooks and printed references in order to fulfill the various needs of the teenagers.
