Objective:To evaluate the presence of gastrointestinal parasites on cattle in Indonesia because the prevalence of parasites varies between counlries depending on the terrain surrounding livestock farms and investigations in Indonesia have never been ***:Fecal samples from cattle at 35 farms in 7 districts in West Java,Indonesia,has been examined using the floatation or sedimentation methods,and a immunofluorescence assay and experimentally inoculation to mice for Cryptosporidium or Giardia ***:153 of 394 examined cattle(38.8%)were infected with gastrointestinal *** prevalence of Eimeria spp.,Nematoda spp.(including Oesophagustomum and Bunostomum-like),Fasciola gigantica and Paramphistomum *** 22.4%,11.2%,12.5%and 3.8%,*** andersoni(***)was also found in two *** isolate of this parasite was confirmed to be transmitted to mice,in contrast to the isolates from other ***:although this survey is preliminary,the results shows that the infection of gastrointestinal parasites in Indonesia was not high,but these infected cattle could be as a potential source leading to economic losses in livestock production.

AIM： The role of the appendix has been highlighted in the pathogenesis of ulcerative colitis （UC）. The aims of this study were to elucidate the immuno-imbalances in the appendix of UC patients, and to clarify the role of the appendix in the development of UC. METHODS： Colonoscopic biopsy specimens of the appendix, transverse colon, and rectum were obtained from 86 patients with UC： active pancolitis （A-Pan; n = 15）, active letf-sided colitis （A-Lt; n = 25）, A-Lt with appendiceal involvement （A-Lt/Ap; n = 10）, inactive pancolitis （I-Pan; n = 14）, and inactive left-sided colitis （I-Lt; n = 22）, and from controls. In the isolated mucosal T cells, the CD4/CD8 ratio and proportion of activated CD4＋ T ceils were investigated, and compared with controls. RESULTS： in the appendix, the CD4/CD8 ratio significantly increased in A-Lt and A-Lt/Ap. The ratio in the appendix also tended to increase in A-Pan. In the rectum, the ratio significantly increased in all UC groups. In the appendix, the proportion of CD4＋CD69＋（early activation antigen） T cells significantly increased in all UC groups. In the rectum, the proportion of CD4＋CD69＋ T cells significantly increased only in A-Pan. The proportion of CD4＋HLADR＋（mature activation antigen） T cells significantly increased only in the rectum of A-Pan, but not in the otherareas of any groups. CONCLUSION： The increased CD4/CD8 ratio and predominant infiltration of CD4＋CD69＋ T cells in the appendix suggest that the appendix is a priming site in the development of UC.

We report an extremely rare case where a mesenchymal differentiation, especially embryonal sarcoma, was demonstrated in cholangiocarcinoma. At autopsy, a yellowish-white tumor （15 cm× 12 cm） was found in the right hepatic lobe, and there were several daughter nodules in both hepatic lobes. Histologically, most of the main tumor and all of the daughter nodules examined showed sarcomatous changes （spindle cells, pleomorphic ceils and hyalization）. Histologic examination of a part of the main tumor disclosed a focus of adenocarcinoma within the tumor. The frequent transitions between the adenocarcinomatous areas and the sarcomatous areas suggested that sarcomatous transformation occurred in the cholangiocarcinoma and then spread rapidly. Immunohistochemically, the adenocarcinomatous elements were positive for cytokeratin, carcinoembryonic antigen （CEA） and epithelial membrane antigen, and negative in the sarcomatous cells. Vimentin was positive only in the sarcomatous elements. The findings of the present case support the view that carcinosarcomas represent carcinomas that develop sarcomatous elements via metaplasia of the epithelial element.

BACKGROUND Reactive lymphoid hyperplasia(RLH)of the liver is a rare liver *** is considered difficult to differentiate radiologically from hepatocellular carcinoma,metastatic liver tumor and other *** SUMMARY A 54-year-old woman presented to our hospital with RLH of the *** patient had a diagnosis of metastatic carcinoma of the liver from an unknown origin and subsequently underwent partial ***,histopathological analysis revealed *** lesion showed perinodular enhancement in the arterial phase on contrast-enhanced computed tomography and magnetic resonance *** diffusion-weighted imaging(DWI),we encountered linear hyperintensity along the portal tract consecutive to the liver lesion,which is a new characteristic radiologic *** finding corresponded to the lymphoid cell infiltration of the portal ***,there was strongly restricted diffusion on the apparent diffusion coefficient *** used these characteristic radiologic findings to diagnose the lesion as a lymphoproliferative *** The linear hyperintensity consecutive to the liver lesion on DWI provided additional valuable diagnostic information.

Autoimmune pancreatitis(AIP) is a distinct form of chronic pancreatitis that is increasingly being reported. The presentation and clinical image findings of AIP sometimes resemble those of several pancreatic malignancies, but the therapeutic strategy differs appreciably. Therefore, accurate diagnosis is necessary for cases of AIP. To date, AIP is classified into two distinct subtypes from the viewpoints of etiology, serum markers, histology, other organ involvements, and frequency of relapse: type 1 is related to Ig G4(lymphoplasmacytic sclerosing pancreatitis) and type 2 is related to a granulocytic epithelial lesion(idiopathic duct-centric chronic pancreatitis). Both types of AIP are characterized by focal or diffuse pancreatic enlargement accompanied with a narrowing of the main pancreatic duct, and both show dramatic responses to corticosteroid. Unlike type 2, type 1 is characteristically associated with increasing levels of serum Ig G4 and positive serum autoantibodies, abundant infiltration of Ig G4-positive plasmacytes, frequent extrapancreatic lesions, and relapse. These findings have led several countries to propose diagnostic criteria for AIP, which consist of essentially similar diagnostic items; however, several differences exist for each country, mainly due to differences in the definition of AIP and the modalities used to diagnose this disease. An attempt to unite the diagnostic criteria worldwide was made with the publication in 2011 of the international consensus diagnostic criteria for AIP, established at the 2010 Congress of the International Association of Pancreatology(IAP).

This paper describes an extendable graphical framework,aflak,which provides a visualization and provenance management environment for the analysis of multi-spectral astronomical *** its node editor interface,aflak allows the astronomer to compose transforms on input datasets queryable from public astronomical data repositories,then to export the results of the analysis as Flexible Image Transport System(FITS)files,in a manner such that the full provenance of the output data be preserved and reviewable,and that the exported file be usable by other common astronomical analysis *** is the standard of data interchange in *** embedding aflak’s provenance data into FITS files,we both achieve interoperability with existing software and full reproducibility of the process by which astronomers make discoveries.

Objective:To assess whether the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)mRNA vaccine affects sperm morphokinetics using a computer-assisted semen analyzer and other semen parameters using a sperm chromatin structure ***:Healthy male volunteers in two Japanese clinics between May 2021 and December 2021 were prospectively *** donated sperm twice,two days apart,in the following phases:before vaccination,2 weeks after the first vaccine dose,and 2,4,and 12 weeks after the second *** sperm parameters,sperm motility characteristics,and the percentage of DNA-damaged sperm were compared among the different ***:Ninety-six semen samples from ten volunteers,who were vaccinated with the BNT162b2 mRNA vaccine,were *** were no significant differences between any phases in basic semen findings and parameters of the sperm chromatin structure *** sperm motion characteristics,the average linear velocity,beat-cross frequency,and sperm motility index significantly decreased after the second vaccine dose(P=0.018,P=0.003,and P=0.027,respectively),with no significant differences between any two phases by post-hoc pairwise ***:After COVID-19 mRNA vaccination,while sperm motion characteristics might fluctuate,no apparent deterioration of basic sperm parameters or sperm DNA integrity was *** the adverse effects of COVID-19 on sperm,our findings suggest that there might be no reason to refrain from vaccination for healthy individuals.

Endoscopic ultrasonography-guided fine-needle aspiration(EUS-FNA) has been applied to pancreaticobiliary lesions since the 1990 s and is in widespread use throughout the world today. We used this method to confirm the pathological evidence of the pancreaticobiliary lesions and to perform suitable therapies. Complications of EUS-FNA are quite rare, but some of them are severe. Operators should master conventional EUS observation and experience a minimum of 20-30 cases of supervised EUS-FNA on non-pancreatic and pancreatic lesions before attempting solo EUSFNA. Studies conducted on pancreaticobiliary EUSFNA have focused on selection of suitable instruments(e.g., needle selection) and sampling techniques(e.g., fanning method, suction level, with or without a stylet, optimum number of passes). Today, the diagnostic ability of EUS-FNA is still improving; the detection of pancreatic cancer(PC) currently has a sensitivity of 90%-95% and specificity of 95%-100%. In addition to PC, a variety of rare pancreatic tumors can be discriminated by conducting immunohistochemistry on the FNA materials. A flexible, large caliber needle has been used to obtain a large piece of tissue, which can provide sufficient histological information to be helpful in classifying benign pancreatic lesions. EUSFNA can supply high diagnostic yields even for biliary lesions or peri-pancreaticobiliary lymph nodes. This review focuses on the clinical aspects of EUS-FNA in the pancreaticobiliary field, with the aim of providing information that can enable more accurate and efficient diagnosis.
