MigroGrid(MG)has emerged to resolve the growing demand for *** because of its inconsistent output,it can result in various power quality(PQ)*** is a problem that is becoming more and more important for the reliability of power systems that use renewable energy ***,the employment of nonlinear loads will introduce harmonics into the system and,as a result,cause distortions in the current and voltage waveforms as well as low power quality issues in the supply ***,this research focuses on power quality enhancement in the MG using hybrid shunt ***,the performance of the filter mainly depends upon the design,and stability of the *** efficiency of the proposed filter is enhanced by incorporating an enhanced adaptive fuzzy neural network(AFNN)*** performance of the proposed topology is examined in a MATLAB/Simulink environment,and experimental findings are provided to validate the effectiveness of this ***,the results of the proposed controller are compared with Adaptive Fuzzy Back-Stepping(AFBS)and Adaptive Fuzzy Sliding(AFS)to prove its superiority over power quality improvement in *** the analysis,it can be observed that the proposed system reduces the total harmonic distortion by about 1.8%,which is less than the acceptable limit standard.

Influence of Treatment of <i>Jatropha curcas</i>L. Leachates and Potassium on Growth and Phytochemical Constituents of Wheat (<i>Triticum aestivum</i>L.)

Jatropha curcas L. commonly known as “physic nut” is an exotic species that shows invasive characters. Plantation of Jatropha species is being undertaken at a large scale for biodiesel production. The plants defoliate their leaves twice a year and have been shown to possess certain antinutritional factors. Seeds of Jatropha are removed from mature dried fruits for oil extraction and ovary walls are discarded. For the present experiments leachates from sun dried leaves and ovary walls of Jatropha curcas L. were used for analyzing their possible allelopathic effects on the growth of wheat (Triticum aestivum L. cultivar, MP-4010). Leachate treatments result in slight decrease in growth in terms of plant height, leaf area, biomass, spike length and 100 seed weight of wheat and increase in total phenols, tannins, phytic acid and free amino acids. Results suggest that the leachates of leaf and ovary wall of Jatropha curcas are slightly inhibitory, however the impact does not last long. Nevertheless, continuous plantation may lead to accumulation of damaging constituents which reflects the need for further analysis and experimentation.

The path toward prognostication and prediction in stage Ⅱ colon cancer

Currently,there are several newer biomarkers that may be clinically useful in colon cancer. This paper focuses on a few of these biomarkers,namely microsatellite instability,loss of heterozygosity at chromosome 18q(LOH18q) and multi-gene assays,and discusses the clinical evidence behind their predictive or prognostic abilities. The results show that although there have been several newer prognostic factors identified,such as LOH18 q and multi-gene assays,none of these factors can predict benefit from treatment. Therefore,ongoing prospective clinical trials are still needed to further assess the role and optimal use of these tests.

First Report on Rhizome Rot Disease of Curcuma longa Caused by Fusarium solani in Bangladesh

Turmeric (Curcuma longa L.) is a valuable medicinal plant as well as spice crop in Bangladesh. The rhizome rot disease is a severe danger to turmeric cultivation. The current study sought to identify the fungal pathogen linked to turmeric rhizome rot disease. Rhizome of turmeric with distinct rotted symptoms was collected from the experimental site of the Botanical Garden, Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh. The sample was screened to isolate the causative fungal pathogen through the tissue planting technique. Macro and micro-morphological characterization based on colony appearance, mycelial and conidial characteristics primarily identified the fungus as Fusarium sp. The ITS sequence of rDNA of the fungus exhibited 99 to 100 percent similarity with the other F. solani species formerly deposited in the NCBI database which confirmed the fungal identity as F. solani. An in vitro pathogenicity test validated the pathogenic nature of the fungus. Growth behaviors of the fungus were evaluated on different solid culture media viz., Potato dextrose agar, Potato sucrose agar, Sabouraud dextrose agar and Hansen’s agar;temperature conditions (10?C, 15?C, 20?C, 25?C, 30?C and 35?C) and pH levels (pH 4, pH 5, pH 6, pH 7 and pH 8). Maximum mycelial growth was obtained on PSA medium at 30?C temperature and pH 7 conditions. Current findings also conclude that F. solani favors a wide range of temperature and pH levels. To the best of our search, the present investigation revealed the relationship of F. solani with the rhizome rot disease of turmeric for the first time in Bangladesh.

Computational analysis of deleterious missense mutations in aspartoacylase that cause Canavan's disease

In this work, the most detrimental missense mutations of aspartoacylase that cause Canavan's disease were identified computationally and the substrate binding efficiencies of those missense mutations were analyzed. Out of 30 missense mutations, I-Mutant 2.0, SIFT and PolyPhen programs identified 22 variants that were less stable, deleterious and damaging respectively. Subsequently, modeling of these 22 variants was performed to understand the change in their conformations with respect to the native aspartoacylase by computing their root mean squared deviation (RMSD). Furthermore, the native protein and the 22 mutants were docked with the substrate NAA (N-Acetyl-Aspartic acid) to explain the substrate binding efficiencies of those detrimental missense mutations. Among the 22 mutants, the docking studies identified that 15 mutants caused lower binding affinity for NAA than the native protein. Finally, normal mode analysis determined that the loss of binding affinity of these 15 mutants was caused by altered flexibility in the amino acids that bind to NAA compared with the native protein. Thus, the pre- sent study showed that the majority of the substrate-binding amino acids in those 15 mutants displayed loss of flexibility, which could be the theoretical explanation of decreased binding affinity between the mutant aspartoacylases and NAA.

Triple Arthrodesis with Internal and External Fixation: Technique Paper

Background: The triple arthrodesis was described early by Myerson in 1923 and has been the gold standard surgical procedure for various conditions with the goal to reduce pain, improve deformity and facilitate function. Methods: The procedure consists of fusion of the subtalar joint, talonavicular joint and calcaneocuboid joint [1]. The procedure is traditionally done with internal fixation, however, Marinet al. has shown it to be performed with external fixation [2]. Dr. Marin and the associates have developed an alternative technique to perform a triple arthrodesis using internal and external fixation. This paper describes a step-by-step technique to perform a triple arthrodesis with both internal and external fixation. It will demonstrate the use of the prefabricated arches on the footplate for more precise and accurate placement of transosseous wires using arch-wire technique [3]. Results/Conclusion: We believe this technique will not only help increase the ability to achieve fusion with a less chance of non-union, but may also decrease healing time, which may allow patients to be mobile from the first week post-operatively and may diminish the risks associated with being non-weightbearing.

Using Artificial Neural-Networks in Stochastic Differential Equations Based Software Reliability Growth Modeling

Due to high cost of fixing failures, safety concerns, and legal liabilities, organizations need to produce software that is highly reliable. Software reliability growth models have been developed by software developers in tracking and measuring the growth of reliability. Most of the Software Reliability Growth Models, which have been proposed, treat the event of software fault detection in the testing and operational phase as a counting process. Moreover, if the size of software system is large, the number of software faults detected during the testing phase becomes large, and the change of the number of faults which are detected and removed through debugging activities becomes sufficiently small compared with the initial fault content at the beginning of the testing phase. Therefore in such a situation, we can model the software fault detection process as a stochastic process with a continuous state space. Recently, Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) have been applied in software reliability growth prediction. In this paper, we propose an ANN based software reliability growth model based on Ito type of stochastic differential equation. The model has been validated, evaluated and compared with other existing NHPP model by applying it on actual failure/fault removal data sets cited from real software development projects. The proposed model integrated with the concept of stochastic differential equation performs comparatively better than the existing NHPP based model.

Although the epigenetic regulatory protein histone deacetylase 6(HDAC6)has been recently implicated in the etiology of Alzheimer’s disease(AD),little is known about the role of HDAC6 in the etiopathogenesis of AD and whether HDAC6 can be a potential therapeutic target for ***,we performed positron emission tomography(PET)imaging in combination with histopathological analysis to better understand the underlying pathomechanisms of HDAC6 in *** first developed[^(18)F]PB118 which was demonstrated as a valid HDAC6 radioligand with excellent brain penetration and high specificity to *** studies of[^(18)F]PB118 in 5xFAD mice showed significantly increased radioactivity in the brain compared to WT animals,with more pronounced changes identified in the cortex and *** translatability of this radiotracer for AD in a potential human use was supported by additional studies,including similar uptake profiles in non-human primates,an increase of HDAC6 in ADrelated human postmortem hippocampal tissues by Western blotting protein analysis,and our ex vivo histopathological analysis of HDAC6 in postmortem brain tissues of our ***,our findings show that HDAC6 may lead to AD by mechanisms that tend to affect brain regions particularly susceptible to AD through an association with amyloid pathology.

Retinoblastoma and treatment: A current evaluation of advanced therapy

Retinoblastoma is the most common primary childhood ocular tumor, affecting nearly 3.5 per million children worldwide. A mutation in the RB1 gene, which presents as either germline or sporadic, along with additional mutational events, promote neoplastic growth in the retina. Fortunately, current treatment protocols result in success rates approaching 99% at specialized centers, with many children maintaining useful vision. Overall, treatment is guided by aggressiveness and size, and is classified by systems such as the ReeseEllsworth System and the International Classification of Retinoblastoma. Due to advances in chemotherapy protocols combined with use of focal laser consolidation, treatment paradigms have shifted from enucleation to external beam radiation therapy to chemotherapy as globe-salvaging therapies. Smaller, less complex tumors may be controlled by plaque radiotherapy or focal laser ablative therapy. However, larger and more complex tumors, such as those that have vitreous or subretinal seeding, require methods of chemoreduction combined with focal consolidation to yield better outcomes. Standard chemotherapy protocols utilize vincristine, etoposide, and carboplatin with or withoutcyclophosphamide. Finally, there has been a recent push in local treatments for retinoblastoma to minimize systemic toxicities. These modalities include intravitreal or subconjunctival injections and more recently, direct chemotherapy administration into the ophthalmic artery. As a result, enucleation is used less often, but remains an important treatment for the most aggressive, refractory cases. The advancement of retinoblastoma treatment looks promising; however, worldwide access to these treatments and the lack of long-term followup of new local treatment modalities constitute current and future challenges.

Performance,litter quality and gaseous odour emissions of broilers fed phytase supplemented diets

The effect of graded levels of phytase on performance, bone characteristics, excreta/litter quality and odorant emissions was examined using 720 Ross 308 male d-old broilers. A 2 x 4 factorial arrangement of treatments was employed with 6 replicates of 15 birds per pen. Factors were: diets-positive and negative control(PC, NC); phytase-0, 500,1,000.1,500 FTU/kg. The PC was formulated to meet the 2014 Ross 308 nutrient specifications, whereas the NC was formulated with lower Ca(-1.4 g/kg), available P(-1.5 g/kg), Na(-0.3 g/kg), dLys(-0.2 g/kg) and MEn(-0.28 MJ/kg) equivalent to nutrient matrix values for 500 FTU/kg phytase in the starter,grower and finisher periods(i.e.,downspec diet). On d 24, phytase decreased FCR by 1.6, 4.3 and 4.6 points at inclusion levels of 500.1,000 and 1,500 FTU/kg, respectively(P 0.05). Solid phase microextraction gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(SPME-GC-MS) analysis of gaseous emissions on d 39 indicated no difference in the emission of alcohols, aldehydes, ketones, volatile fatty acids and phenols between treatments(P> 0.05). The results indicate that phytase has greater benefits when formulated using nutrient matrix values as compared with adding it over the top in an already nutrient sufficient diet. The later method would be expected to increase feed costs without concomitant performance benefits.
