The precise synthesis of subporphyrinoid hybrids withπ-expanded topologies and unique material properties plays a promising role in the design of functional ***,selective,and controllable routes to boron subphthalocyanine−subnaphthalocyanine hybrids,Bsub(Pc_(3‑p)-Nc_(p))s,are desirable for this purpose yet synthetically challenging due to random mixtures of C_(s-),C_(3v-),and,in some cases,C_(1)-symmetric compounds that form during traditional statistical mixed ***,we addressed this issue by developing a sterically driven mixed cyclotrimerization with enhanced selectivity for the targeted C_(s)-symmetric hybrid and complete suppression of sterically crowded macrocyclic *** process,coupled with a rationally designed precursor bearing bulky phenyl substituents,enabled the synthesis and characterization of bay-position phenylated Ph_(2)-(R_(p))_(8)Bsub(Pc_(2)-Nc_(1))hybrids with halogens(Rp=Cl or f)in their peripheral isoindole *** selectivity ranged between 59 and 72%with remarkable yields,significantly higher than that of conventional mixed *** findings were augmented by theoretical calculations on precursor Lewis basicity as guiding principles into hybrid macrocycle ***,the incorporation of unfused phenyl groups and halogen atoms into the hybrid framework resulted in fine-tuned optical,structural,electronic,and electrochemical *** straightforward approach achieved improved selectivity and controlled narrowing of the product distribution,affording the efficient synthesis of structurally sophisticated Bsub(Pc_(2)-Nc_(1))*** then expands the library of 3-dimensionalπ-extended macrocycles for use in a range of applications,such as in optoelectronic devices with precisely tailored optical properties.

The Minamata Convention in the aim to protect human life and the environment, seeks to reduce mercury (Hg) by monitoring it concentrations in the environment. Artisanal and Small-scale Gold Mining (ASGM) has been identified as the most important anthropogenic source of human exposure to Hg. In this context, the main goal of this study was to assess the level of mercury in hair of two (2) populations living along two lagoons respectively Aby and Tendo, in Ivory Coast. To reach this goal, hair samples of 138 residents were collected and analyzed by using Cold Vapor Atomic fluorescence Spectrophotometry (CV-AfS) technique for mercury concentration. Results showed that for the entire population the Hg mean was 2.34 μg/g. Also, they were ranged between 0.15 to 8.53 μg/g and presented substantial differences amongst the villages. In Aby village, we observed the highest Hg concentrations (Mean = 2.62 μg/g). Our findings showed that almost the entire sample group (82%) exceed the USEPA recommended limit, furthermore 56% of them exceed the normal level of WHO and 2% of the respondent has the unhealthy levels of mercury (≥6 μg Hg/g) of hair by WHO standards. Gender differences in hair mercury varies greatly among reports. Lower levels in women’s hair compared to men were reported in the both village. Considering age, the lowest concentrations were observed with children. However, when we take in account the age groups, data suggested that the most exposed sub-population of [18-29] years old is from Aby village in opposite at frambo village, the same case those who were ≥ 40 years old. It’s convenient to note that, the proportion of Mercury levels would not to be neglected among studied population especially with the resident from Aby village. So, some measures need to be taken at the political level to control mercury contamination.

Surgical treatment of peripheral nerve injuries is still a major challenge in human *** to now,none of the well-developed microsurgical treatment options is able to guarantee a complete restoration of nerve *** restriction is also effective for novel clinically approved artificial nerve *** this review,we compare surgical repair techniques primarily for digital nerve injuries reported with relatively high prevalence to be valuable attempts in clinical digital nerve repair and point out their advantages and *** furthermore discuss the use of artificial nerve grafts with a focus on chitosan-based nerve guides,for which our own studies contributed to their approval for clinical *** the second part of this review,very recent future perspectives for the enhancement of tubular(commonly hollow)nerve guides are discussed in terms of their clinical translatability and ability to form three-dimensional constructs that biomimick the natural nerve *** includes materials that have already shown their beneficial potential in in vivo studies like fibrous intraluminal guidance structures,hydrogels,growth factors,and approaches of cell ***,we highlight upcoming future perspectives comprising co-application of stem cell *** our overview,we conclude that already simple attempts are highly effective to increase the regeneration supporting properties of nerve guides in experimental *** for bringing nerve repair with bioartificial nerve grafts to the next level,*** of defects>3 cm in human patients,more complex intraluminal guidance structures such as innovatively manufactured hydrogels and likely supplementation of stem cells or their secretome for therapeutic purposes may represent promising future perspectives.

Hepatic steatosis as the most prevalent liver disorder can either be related to alcoholic liver disease (ALD) or non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAfLD). In both conditions, hepatocytes excessively accumulate fatcontaining vacuoles within their cytoplasm, which is the key histological feature. In contrast to ALD, NAfLD is commonly associated with metabolic syndrome, obesity and insulin resistance. To determine increased liver fat content, liver biopsy is currently considered the gold standard. Besides the invasive technique, various other non-invasive techniques have been developed, such as ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) based methods. Among these techniques, ultrasound and CT provide only qualitative information about hepatic steatosis, whereas MRS-or MRI-based methods are able to determine even small amounts of fat accurately. These non-invasive magnetic resonance techniques have already proven their great potential, especially in longitudinal and cross-sectional studies regarding various metabolic conditions and medical treatment regimens. In this review, the most common, non-invasive MRS/MRI techniques for assessment of intrahepatic lipid content are described with their inherent advantages and limitations.

Background:Proprioceptive accuracy refers to the individual’s ability to perceive proprioceptive information,that is,the information referring to the actual state of the locomotor system,which originates from mechanoreceptors located in various parts of the locomotor system and from tactile receptors located in the *** accuracy appears to be an important aspect in the evaluation of sensorimotor functioning;however,no widely accepted standard assessment *** this systematic review,our goal was to identify and categorize different methods that are used to assess different aspects of proprioceptive ***:A literature search was conducted in 5 different databases(PubMed,SPORTDiscus,PsycINfO,ScienceDirect,and SpringerLink).Results:Overall,1139 scientific papers reporting 1346 methods were included in this *** methods assess 8 different aspects of proprioception:(a)the perception of joint position,(b)movement and movement extent,(c)trajectory,(d)velocity,and the sense of(e)force,(f)muscle tension,(g)weight,and(h)*** apply various paradigms of psychophysics(i.e.,the method of adjustment,constant stimuli,and limits).Conclusion:As the outcomes of different tasks with respect to various body parts show no associations(i.e.,proprioceptive accuracy is characterized by site-specificity and method-specificity),the appropriate measurement method for the task needs to be chosen based on theoretical considerations and/or ecological validity.

目的探究感染性疾病患儿血清促甲状腺激素(TSH)、游离总三碘甲状腺素原氨酸(fT3)、降钙素原(PCT)在新生儿感染性疾病的表达情况,分析其诊断意义。方法选取2019年3月-2022年3月在宜昌市夷陵区人民医院新生儿科就诊的100例发热新生儿作为研究组,按照感染类型分为细菌感染组(46例)和病毒感染组(54例),根据新生儿危重症评分标准分为非危重组(38例)、危重组(28例)及极危重组(34例)。另选取经检查无异常的健康新生儿50名作为对照组。分别检测研究组和对照组新生儿血清TSH、fT3和PCT的表达水平,对比分析各指标差异。Logistic回归分析新生儿感染性疾病影响因素;采用受试者工作特征(ROC)曲线分析上述指标对新生儿感染性疾病的诊断效能。结果细菌感染组患儿血清TSH和PCT水平高于病毒感染组,差异均有统计学意义(t=7.626、9.866,P均fT3水平低于病毒感染组,差异有统计学意义(t=10.654,Pf=31.449、69.274),fT3水平降低(f=60.396),对照组、非危重组、危重组和极危重组4组之间比较,差异均有统计学意义(P均fT3、PCT以及三者联合诊断新生儿感染性疾病的曲线下面积(AUC)分别为0.875、0.867、0.911、0.966,三者联合诊断AUC均高于各指标独立诊断(Z=3.137、3.579、2.749,P=0.002、fT3和PCT联合诊断新生儿感染性疾病具有较高价值,对判断感染的病原菌以及患儿病情严重程度具有参考价值。

Spectrophotometric study of the charge transfer complexes of 4′-nitrobenzo-15-crown-5 and benzo-15-crown-5 with iodine in nonaqueous solvents

The formation of charge transfer complex between iodine with 4＇-nitrobenzo-15-crown-5（NB15C5） and benzo-15-crown-5 （B15C5） is investigated spectrophotometrically in chloroform and dichloromethane（DCM） solutions at 25℃.The pseudo-first-order rate constants for the transformation process were evaluated from the absorbance-time data and found to vary in the order of DCM CHCl_*** values of the formation constant,K_f,for each complex are evaluated from Benesi-Hilebrand equation. Stability of the resulting complex in two solvents was also found to vary in the order of DCM CHCl_3.

Shape change in viable eggs of the collembolan folsomia candida provides insight into the role of Wolbachia endosymbionts

The endosymbiotic bacteria of the genus Wolbachia that infect the collembolan species folsomia candida are responsible for facilitating parthenogenetic reproduction in their hosts. This study made empirical observations of the development of eggs of f. candida which contained normal populations of Wolbachia and of eggs which were cured of Wolbachia by treatment with the antibiotic rifampicin. A marked increase in egg size accompanied by a significant change in shape from spherical to discoid occurred in viable eggs three to four days after laying. These changes did not occur in the universally inviable eggs which came from the antibiotic treatment or in the 7% of untreated eggs which were naturally inviable. We infer that Wolbachia plays a critical role in zygotic or embryonic development during or before the first three days after laying and we draw on existing knowledge in speculating on the developmental mechanisms that Wolbachia may influence.

A Modified T-test feature Selection Method and Its Application on the HapMap Genotype Data

Single nucleotide polymorphisms （SNPs） are genetic variations that determine the differences between any two unrelated individuals. Various population groups can be distinguished from each other using SNPs. for instance, the HapMap dataset has four population groups with about ten million SNPs. for more insights on human evolution, ethnic variation, and population assignment, we propose to find out which SNPs are significant in determining the population groups and then to classify different populations using these relevant SNPs as input features. In this study, we developed a modified t-test ranking measure and applied it to the HapMap genotype data. firstly, we rank all SNPs in comparison with other feature importance measures including f-statistics and the informativeness for assignment. Secondly, we select different numbers of the most highly ranked SNPs as the input to a classifier, such as the support vector machine, so as to find the best feature subset corresponding to the best classification accuracy. Experimental results showed that the proposed method is very effective in finding SNPs that are significant in determining the population groups, with reduced computational burden and better classification accuracy.
