Herein,an attention-grabbing and up-to-date review related to major multiplexing techniques is presented which in-cludes wavelength division multiplexing(WDm),polarization division multiplexing(PDm),space division multiplexing(SDm),mode division multiplexing(mDm)and orbital angular momentum multiplexing(OAmm).multiplexing is a mech-anism by which multiple signals are combined into a shared channel used to showcase the maximum capacity of the op-tical ***,it is critical to develop hybrid multiplexing methods to allow enhanced channel *** this re-view,we have also included hybrid multiplexing techniques such as WDm-PDm,WDm-mDm and *** is prob-able to attain N×m channels by utilizing N wavelengths and m guided-modes by simply utilizing hybrid WDm-mDm(de)*** the best of our knowledge,this review paper is one of its kind which has highlighted the most prom-inent and recent signs of progress in multiplexing techniques in one place.

DEAR EDITOR,Species of Xenophrys are conserved morphologically and live primarily in forests. In Thailand, the genus harbors many cryptic species. Herein we report the collection of specimens from Doi Inthanon, Chiang mai Province, northern Thailand, which were identified previously as X. minor. molecular and morphological analyses find that these specimens differ significantly from other known congeners, and therefore we describe a new species. Further, our phylogenetic analyses indicate that X. latidactyla is a junior synonym of X. palpebralespinosa.

Three-dimensional geovisualizations are currently pushed both by technological development and by the demands of experts in various applied *** the presented empirical study,we compared the features of real 3D(stereoscopic)versus pseudo 3D(monoscopic)geovisualizations in static and interactive digital elevation *** tested 39 high-school students in their ability to identify the correct terrain profile from digital elevation ***’performance was recorded and further analysed with respect to their spatial abilities,which were measured by a psychological mental rotation test and think aloud *** results of the study indicated that the influence of the type of 3D visualization(monoscopic/stereoscopic)on the performance of the users is not clear,the level of navigational interactivity has significant influence on the usability of a particular 3D visualization,and finally no influences of the spatial abilities on the performance of the user within the 3D environment were identified.

We investigated metal-organic vapor phase epitaxy grown(InGa)(AsSb)/GaAs/GaP Stranski–Krastanov quantum dots(QDs)with potential applications in QD-Flash memories by cross-sectional scanning tunneling microscopy(X-STm)and atom probe tomography(APT).The combination of X-STm and APT is a very powerful approach to study semiconductor heterostructures with atomic resolution,which provides detailed structural and compositional information on the *** rather small QDs are found to be of truncated pyramid shape with a very small top facet and occur in our sample with a very high density of∼4×10^(11) cm^(−2).APT experiments revealed that the QDs are GaAs rich with smaller amounts of In and *** element(FE)simulations are performed using structural data from X-STm to calculate the lattice constant and the outward relaxation of the cleaved *** composition of the QDs is estimated by combining the results from X-STm and the FE simulations,yielding∼In_(x)Ga_(1−x)As_(1−y)Sb_(y),where x=0.25–0.30 and y=0.10–***,the reported composition is in good agreement with the experimental results obtained by APT,previous optical,electrical,and theoretical analysis carried out on this material *** confirms that the InGaSb and GaAs layers involved in the QD formation have strongly intermixed.A detailed analysis of the QD capping layer shows the segregation of Sb and In from the QD layer,where both APT and X-STm show that the Sb mainly resides outside the QDs proving that Sb has mainly acted as a surfactant during the dot *** structural and compositional analysis provides a valuable insight into this novel QD system and a path for further growth optimization to improve the storage time of the QD-Flash memory devices.

The coupling of atomic force microscopy with infrared spectroscopy(AFm-IR)offers the unique capability to characterize the local chemical and physical makeup of a broad variety of materials with nanoscale ***,in order to fully utilize the measurement capability of AFm-IR,a three-dimensional dataset(2D map with a spectroscopic dimension)needs to be acquired,which is prohibitively time-consuming at the same spatial resolution of a regular AFm *** this paper,we provide a new approach to process spectral AFm-IR data based on a multicomponent pan-sharpening *** approach requires only a low spatial resolution spectral and a limited number of high spatial resolution single wavenumber chemical maps to generate a high spatial resolution hyperspectral image,greatly reducing data acquisition *** a result,we are able to generate highresolution maps of component distribution,produce chemical maps at any wavenumber available in the spectral range,and perform correlative analysis of the physical and chemical properties of the *** highlight our approach via imaging of plant cell walls as a model system and showcase the interplay between mechanical stiffness of the sample and its chemical *** believe our pan-sharpening approach can be more generally applied to different material classes to enable deeper understanding of that structure-property relationship at the nanoscale.

This article presents a synopsis of the current data on the mechanisms of blood-brain barrier (BBB) alteration and autoimmune response in acute ischemic stroke. most researchers confirm the relationship between the severity of immunobiochemical changes and clinical outcome of acute ischemic stroke. Ischemic stroke is accompanied by aseptic inflammation, which alters the brain tissue and exposes the co-stimulatory molecules of the immune system and the neuronal antigens. To date, BBB is not considered the border between the immune system and central nervous system, and the local immune subsystems are found within and behind the BBB. BBB disruption contributes to the leakage of brain autoantigens and induction of secondary autoimmune response to neuronal antigens and long-term inflammation. Glymphatic system function is altered and jeopardized both in hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke types. The receptors of innate immunity (toll-like receptor-2 and toll-like receptor-4) are also involved in acute ischemia-reperfusion injury. Immune response is related to the key processes of blood clotting and fibrinolysis. At the same time, the stroke-induced immune activation may promote reparation phenomena in the brain. Subsequent research on the reduction of the acute ischemic brain injury through the target regulation of the immune response is promising.

Objective:To determine the diagnostic value of ultrasound signs of urinary stones less than or equal to 10 mm and to determine clinico-radiological variants of ureteric ***:A total of 455 ultrasound investigations were performed in patients referring to emergency department with urolithiasis and symptoms suspected of ureteric colic between January 2021 and may *** addition to microscopic evaluation of urine sediment to detect different crystals and non-contrast spiral computed tomography to detect stones,B-mode and color Doppler sonography was performed to assess the presence of acoustic shadow(AS)and twinkle artifacts(TA)as possible signs of stone(s)in ***:While the sensitivity and specificity of AS and TA were higher than 90%in patients with stones greater than 5 mm;positive prognostic values of these parameters were found to be extremely low for stones with sizes of 1-3 mm with specificity and sensitivity values not exceeding 53%.The sensitivity and specificity of AS and TA in the upper and lower ureters were higher for stones greater than or equal to 5 than for compared to those less than 5 *** the same time,the diagnostic values of TA and AS for middle ureter stones were very *** most prevalent clinico-radiological variants of ureteric colic were types I,III,and V being observed in 39%,28% and 21% cases,***:Our results demonstrate that TA and AS parameters seem to have a very low sensitivity and specificity in the diagnosis of urinary stones less than 5 *** diagnostic value of TA and AS increase significantly in stones greater than or equal to 5 ***,clinicians need to be very careful for overestimating the diagnostic values of TA and AS for stones less than 5 mm and non-contrast spiral computed tomography must be the method of choice for patients presenting to emergency department with ureteric colic.

2017年8~9月,重庆市文化遗产研究院同俄罗斯科学院西伯利亚分院考古学与民族学研究所组成联合考古队,对西伯利亚两处旧石器时代遗址进行考古调查与试掘。通过调查与试掘,在叶尼塞河支流—阿巴坎河流域确认了一处旧石器时代晚期遗址—马特盖奇克遗址,该遗址石制品主要包括石核、石片和石器,原料主要是火山岩、燧石和石英岩。通过阶地比对,初步认为该遗址时代为旧石器时代晚期。另外,对库尔塔克卡缅内洛卡遗址的再次发掘出土了44件石制品,包含石核、石片和石器,原料主要是燧石、石英岩和火山岩。此次发掘进一步充实了该遗址的考古材料,也有利于进一步完善该遗址的考古年代学序列。
