Metabolomic fingerprinting of porcine lung tissue during pre-clinical prolonged ex vivo lung perfusion using in vivo SPME coupled with LC-HRMS

Normothermic ex vivo lung perfusion(NEvLP)has emerged as a modernized organ preservation technique that allows for detailed assessment of donor lung function prior to *** main goal of this study was to identify potential biomarkers of lung function and/or injury during a prolonged(19 h)NEvLP procedure using in vivo solid-phase microextraction(SPME)technology followed by liquid chromatography-high resolution mass spectrometry(LC-HRMS).The use of minimally invasive in vivo SPME fibers for repeated sampling of biological tissue permits the monitoring and evaluation of biochemical changes and alterations in the metabolomic profile of the *** in vivo SPME fibers were directly introduced into the lung and were also used to extract metabolites(on-site SPME)from fresh perfusate samples collected alongside lung samplings.A subsequent goal of the study was to assess the feasibility of SPME as an in vivo method in metabolomics studies,in comparison to the traditional inlab metabolomics *** upregulated biochemical pathways involved in pro-and antiinflammatory responses,as well as lipid metabolism,were observed during extended lung perfusion,especially between the 11th and 12th hours of the procedure,in both lung and perfusate ***,several unstable and/or short-lived metabolites,such as neuroprostanes,have been extracted from lung tissue in vivo using SPME ***-site monitoring of the metabolomic profiles of both lung tissues through in vivo SPME and perfusate samples on site throughout the prolonged NEvLP procedure can be effectively performed using in vivo SPME technology.

The investigation aims at the expansion of the basis of formulations of solid composite propellants by introducing new compositions with lower sensitivity to mechanic impact and improved thermal *** formulations based on trinitropyrazole(TNP)contains a binder(a hydrocarbon or active one),aluminum and inorganic oxidizer *** results show that a binary formulation TNP+active binder(18%-19%)(volume fraction)with no metal is well designed which would achieve high specific impulse(at Pc∶Pa=40∶1)of 248s,high density of 1.80g/cm3 and combustion temperature Tcabout 3 *** terms of energy,metal-free compositions with TNP lose a bit to those with HMX,only if HMX fraction in formulation is higher than 45%-50%.

Comprehensive DDoS Attack Classification Using Machine LearningAlgorithms

The fast development of Internet technologies ignited the growthof techniques for information security that protect data, networks, systems,and applications from various threats. There are many types of threats. Thededicated denial of service attack (DDoS) is one of the most serious andwidespread attacks on Internet resources. This attack is intended to paralyzethe victim’s system and cause the service to fail. This work is devoted tothe classification of DDoS attacks in the special network environment calledSoftware-Defined Networking (SDN) using machine learning algorithms. Theanalyzed dataset included instances of two classes: benign and *** the dataset contained twenty-two features, the feature selection techniques were required for dimensionality reduction. In these experiments, theInformation gain, the Chi-square, and the F-test were applied to decreasethe number of features to ten. The classes were also not completely balanced, so undersampling, oversampling, and synthetic minority oversampling(SMOTE) techniques were used to balance classes equally. The previousresearch works observed the classification of DDoS attacks applying variousfeature selection techniques and one or more machine learning ***, they did not pay much attention to classifying the combinations offeature selection and balancing methods with different machine learningalgorithms. This work is devoted to the classification of datasets with eightmachine learning algorithms: naïve Bayes, logistic regression, support vectormachine, k-nearest neighbors, decision tree, random forest, XGBoost, andCatBoost. In the experimental results, the Information gain and F-test featureselection methods achieved better performance with all eight ML algorithmsthan with the Chi-square technique. Furthermore, the accuracy values of theoversampled and SMOTE datasets were higher than that of the undersampledand imbalanced datasets. Magnetic field hyperactivity during the early Neoproterozoic: A paleomagnetic and cyclostratigraphic study of the Katav Formation, southern Urals, Russia

We present a detailed magnetostratigraphic and cyclostratigraphic profile through the Riphean(Tonian)Katav Formation in the southern *** study confirms the primary nature of the magnetization in these *** cyclostratigraphic study identified several orbital periods including the 405 ka long *** allows us to quantify the reversal frequency in the Katav and our estimates range of 7–12 reversals per million *** on our study,we identify an interval of magnetic field reversal hyperactivity in the Neoproterozoic *** estimates for the Katav are contentious and range somewhere between 800 Ma and 900 Ma based on carbonate Pb-Pb ages and stable isotope *** paleomagnetic poles obtained in this study of the Katav(and overlying Inzer)Formation do not fit anywhere on the Baltica apparent polar wander path between 1100 Ma and 900 ***,they lie 90away from the 900 Ma segment of the *** tentatively estimate their age to be closer to 800 Ma and perhaps confirm a previously hypothesized pulse of rapid true polar wander between 825 Ma and 790 Ma.

Ground motion improvements in SPEAR3

SPEAR3 is a third-generation synchrotron light source storage ring, about 234 meters in *** meet the beam stability requirement, our goal is to ultimately achieve an orbit variation（relative to the photon beam lines） of less than 10% of the beam size, which is about 1 micron in the vertical plane. Hydrostatic leveling system（HLS） measurements show that the height of the SPEAR3 tunnel floor can vary by tens of microns daily without thermal insulation improvements. We present an analysis of the HLS data that shows that adding thermal insulation to the concrete walls of the storage ring tunnel dramatically decreased diurnal tunnel floor motion.

At present,gold nanoparticles(GNPs)are widely used in biomedical applications such as cancer diagnostics and ***,the potential toxicity hazards of these nanomaterials and human safety concerns are gaining significant ***,we report the effects of prolonged peroral administration of GNPs with different sizes(2,15 and 50 nm)on morphological changes in lymphoid organs and indicators of peripheral blood of laboratory *** experiment was conducted on 24 white mongrel male rats weighing 180–220 g,gold nanospheres sizes 2,15 and 50nm were administered orally for 15 days at a dosage of 190g/kg of animal body *** GNPs were conjugated with polyethylene glycol to increase their biocompatibility and *** size-dependent decrease of the number of neutrophils and lymphocytes was noted in the study of peripheral blood,especially pronounced after administration of GNPs with size of 50 *** stimulation of myelocytic germ of hematopoiesis was recorded at morphological study of the bone *** signs of strengthening of the processes of differentiation and maturation of cellular elements were found in lymph nodes,which were showed as the increasing number of immunoblasts and large *** quantitative changes of cellular component morphology of lymphoid organs due to activation of migration,proliferation and di®erentiation of immune cells indicate the presence of immunostimulation effect of GNPs.

Effect of WC/Ni-Cr additive on changes in the composition of an atmospheric residue in the course of cracking

The paper presents the results of investigation of changes in the composition of hydrocarbons and sulfur-containing compounds of an atmospheric residue in the course of cracking in the presence of a tungsten carbide-nickel-chromium(WC/Ni-Cr)catalytic additive and without *** cracking is carried out in an autoclave at 500℃for 30 *** addition of the WC/Ni-Cr additive promotes the deepening of reactions of destruction not only of resins and asphaltenes,but also high molecular weight naphthene-aromatic compounds of the atmospheric *** is shown that the content of low molecular weight C9-C17 n-alkanes and C9-C10 alkylbenzenes rose sharply in the products of cracking with addition of WC/Ni-Cr in comparison with those produced without the ***-and naphthene-substituted aromatic hydrocarbons of benzene,naphthalene,phenanthrene series,polyarenes,benzo-and dibenzothiophenes are identified.
