Future electric power systems will face new operational challenges due to the high penetration of distributed energy resources(DERs).In Denmark,distribution system operator(DSO)expects a significant congestion increased in distribution *** order to manage these congestions and mobilize the DERs as economically efficient as possible in the future distribution grid,the brand new notion of flexibility clearing house(FLECH)is proposed in this *** the aggregator-based offers,the proposed FLECH market has the ability to promote small scale DERs(upto 5 MW)for actively participating in trading flexibility services,which are stipulated accommodating the various requirements of ***,the trading setups and processes of the FLECH market are also illustrated in detail.A quantitative example is utilized to illustrate the formulation and classification of flexibility services provided by the DERs in the proposed FLECH market.

The MiSeq FGx^(TM) Forensic Genomics System types 231 genetic markers in one multiplex polymerase chain reaction (PCR) *** markers include core forensic short tandem repeats (STRs) as well as identity,ancestry and phenotype informative short nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs).In this work,the MiSeq FGx^(TM) Forensic Genomics System was evaluated by analysing reproducibility,sensitivity,mixture identification and forensic phenotyping capabilities of the ***,the genotype calling of the ForenSeq^(TM) Universal Analysis Software was verified by analysing *** files from the MiSeq FGx^(TM) platform using the softwares STRinNGS and ***,the performance of the MiSeq FGx^(TM) Forensic Genomics System was ***,locus and allele drop-outs were relatively frequent at six loci (two STRs and four human identification SNPs) due to low read depth or skewed heterozygote balances,and the stutter ratios were larger than those observed with conventional STR genotyping *** risk of locus and allele drop-outs increased dramatically when the amount of DNA in the first PCR was lower than 250 ***-person 50∶1 mixtures were identified as mixtures,whereas 100∶1 and 1000∶1 mixtures were not.Y-chromosomal short tandem repeats (Y-STRs) alleles were detected in the 100∶1 and 1000∶1 female/male *** ForenSeq^(TM) Universal Analysis Software provided the data analyst with useful alerts that simplified the analysis of the large number of *** of the alerts were due to user-defined,locus-specific *** results shown here indicated that the default settings should be altered for some ***,recommended changes to the assay and software are discussed.

Performance and Effectiveness of Portable Air Cleaners in an Office Room： An Experimental Study

Nowadays, many people work in an office environment. Air pollutants, including particles and gases, are generated by humans and by different devices that are used in offices. Pollutants can also enter an office room with the air supplied from outdoors. It has been established that air pollutants have adverse health effects on human body. Air cleaning devices are commonly marketed as being beneficial for the health by removing air pollutants and consequently improving indoor air quality. The performance of five air cleaning technologies was tested in order to determine the generation of ozone and particles in an office room. The particle removal effectiveness of the technologies was also determined in order to clarify their ability to remove UFPs （ultrafine particles） in the office room. The tested five air cleaning technologies are non-thermal plasma, corona discharge ionizer, portable air purifier, electrostatic fibrous filter and three-dimensional fibrous filter. The interior surfaces of the office room emit low levels of volatile organic compounds, since the office room has not been refurbished for about two decades. The results showed that the particle removal effectiveness of the technologies was ranged between 0.2 and 0.45 for the office room. The three technologies using/generating ozone significantly increased the ozone level in the office room. However, no increase of the UFP concentration was detected.

Lead(Pb)is an extremely toxic persistent element,considered a factor in the fall of the Roman Empire 2000 years ago due to its use in plumbing and as a wine sweetener[1].The effects of lead include adverse neurological effects,reproductive impairment,and anaemia[2].One continuing source of lead in the environment is lead ammunition,which presents health risks to consumers of game meat,including humans,predatory and scavenging birds,and other animals.

An emerging issue in Denmark is passive smoking in residential buildings where non-smokers are exposed to smoke from their neighbours. There are various ways that smoke is transferred from one flat to another. The air transfer rate between two flats in a multi-storey building depends on its construction, tightness and age. This paper presents results of a study on the transfer of ultrafine particles and tracer gas in an older multi-storey building in Copenhagen. The aim of the study was to quantify the transfer ofultrafine particles and gases from one flat to another fiat before and after sealing the floor. A new floor-sealing method was applied to seal the floor between the two flats. The sealing method was developed by a firm specialising in sealing. Indoor ultrafine particle concentrations and tracer gas were measured continuously in the two fiats during the measuring periods. In the unoccupied fiat, the gas source was N20 and the particle source was burning cigarettes. Reduction of the concentration of ultrafine particles and tracer gas by sealing the floor with polyethylene and joint filler made of bitumen was studied. It was evaluated how the sealing performed with regard to decreasing the amount of ultrafine particles and a tracer gas transferred between two fiats separated by a floor. When the floor between the flats was not sealed, the results showed that about 4% of the ultraflne particles and 14% of the tracer gas were transferred. After sealing, the amount transferred was reduced to 1.6% and 5%, respectively.

Purpose: The Nellix endovascular aneurysm sealing (EVAS) system was introduced in 2010 for infrarenal abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) repair. So far one secondary type 1a endoleak resulting in rupture of the aneurysm has been reported. Case report: We present a case of a rupture of an infrarenal aortic aneurysm due to a secondary type 1a endoleak caused by stent migration 14 months after endovascular aneurysm sealing with a Nellix system. Conclusion: Strict adherence to anatomical requirements given by the instructions for use during patient selection and thorough post interventional surveillance may reduce the probability of secondary type 1a endoleaks. Furthermore, device design changes, especially concerning the configuration of the proximal part of the stent graft, have to be considered.

The long-term effects of physical activity （PA） or sedentary behavior on cardiovascular health in young people are not well understood. In this study, we use a narrative format to review the evidence for a prospective association with adiposity and other well-established biological cardiovascular risk factors in healthy young people, considering only studies with at least 2 years of follow-up. PA appears to elicit a long-term beneficial effect on adiposity and particularly markers of cardiovascular health. With adiposity, however, a few studies also reported that higher levels of PA were associated with higher levels of adiposity. Time spent sedentary does not appear to be related to adiposity or markers of cardiovascular health independent of PA. We then discuss the uncertainties in the underlying causal chain and consider a number of alternative modeling strategies, which could improve our understanding of the relationship in future studies. Finally, we consider the current methodology for assessing PA and sedentary time.

In this paper we study the effect of rolling friction on the dynamics in a single spout fluidized bed using Discrete Element Method （DEM） coupled to Computational Fluid Dynamics （CFD）. In a first step we neglect rolling friction and show that the results delivered by the open source CFD-DEM framework applied in this study agree with previous simulations documented in literature. In a second step we include a rolling friction sub-model in order to investigate the effect of particle non-sphericity. The influence of particle-particle as well as particle-wall rolling friction on the flow in single spout fluidized bed is studied separately. Adequate rolling friction model parameters are obtained using first principle DEM simulations and data from literature. Finally, we demonstrate the importance of correct modelling of rolling friction for coupled CFD-DEM simulations of spout fluidized beds. We show that simulation results can be improved significantly when applying a rolling friction model, and that experimental data from literature obtained with Positron Emission Particle Trackin~ fPEPT） technique can be satisfactorily reoroduced.

The potential for improving the penetration depth of optical coherence tomography systems by using light sources with longer wavelengths has been known since the inception of the technique in the early ***,the development of mid-infrared optical coherence tomography has long been challenged by the maturity and fidelity of optical components in this spectral region,resulting in slow acquisition,low sensitivity,and poor axial *** this work,a mid-infrared spectral-domain optical coherence tomography system operating at a central wavelength of 4μm and an axial resolution of 8.6μm is *** system produces two-dimensional cross-sectional images in real time enabled by a high-brightness 0.9-to 4.7-μm mid-infrared supercontinuum source with a pulse repetition rate of 1 MHz for illumination and broadband upconversion of more than 1-μm bandwidth from 3.58–4.63μm to 820–865 nm,where a standard 800-nm spectrometer can be used for fast *** images produced by the mid-infrared system are compared with those delivered by a state-of-the-art ultra-high-resolution near-infrared optical coherence tomography system operating at 1.3μm,and the potential applications and samples suited for this technology are *** doing so,the first practical mid-infrared optical coherence tomography system is demonstrated,with immediate applications in real-time non-destructive testing for the inspection of defects and thickness measurements in samples that exhibit strong scattering at shorter wavelengths.
