The relatively weak interactions between some non-charged amino acids with CO were investigated theoretically by using density functional theory （DFT） method. The stretching frequency of CO correlates well with its bond length followed the Badger＇s rule, and the correlation between binding energy and Mulliken charge partition of CO was also investigated for the first time. 2007 Ying Wu Lin. 5,6-Dihydrothieno[3＇,2＇：4,5]thieno[2,3-d]pyrimidin-4（3H）-ones 6 were synthesized in yields of 71-87% by a consecutive method, which includes aza-Wittig reaction of iminophosphorane 3 with aromatic isocynate to give carbodiimide 4 and subsequent reaction of 4 with various amines, phenols or alcohols in the presence of catalytic amount of sodium ethoxide or solid potassium carbonate. 2009 ming Wu Ding. AIM To verify the value of Gutuo Jiejiu decoction in improving the survival of patients with severe alcoholic hepatitis(SAH).METHODS We performed a retrospective cohort study in consecutive patients diagnosed with SAH at the Teaching Hospital of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Shuguang Hospital, Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The traditional Chinese medicine formula Gutuo Jiejiu decoction was employed as an exposure factor. Patients from the Teaching Hospital of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine who had been treated with Gutuo Jiejiu decoction + prednisone were assigned to an observation group, and patients from Shuguang Hospital, Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine who had been treated with prednisone alone were selected as a control group. A retrospective analysis was performed by comparing age, alcohol intake, and clinical parameters of liver injury beforeand after treatment. Additionally, the 3-and 12-mo survival rates and the occurrence of complications were *** One hundred and twenty-eight eligible patients were selected from 175 cases with SAH, of which 68 were assigned to the observation group and the other 60 to the control group. No significant difference was found in the patients' baseline characteristics(P > 0.05). However, significant improvements of 90-d survival rate [56/68(82.4%) vs 27/60(45.0%), P = 0.0000] and 365-d survival rate [48/68(70.6%) vs 13/60(21.7%), P = 00000] were observed in the observation group after treatment. After the first 3 mo of treatment, more improvements in the clinical parameters and scoring systems related to liver injury occurred in the observation group than in the control group(P < 0.05). After treatment for 12 mo, the differences in the clinical parameters and scoring systems related to liver injury between the two groups were more significant(P < 0.05). In this paper,the influences of the ambient wind speed and the height and width of a viaduct in a 2-dimensional street canyon on the diffusion of reactive pollutants emitted by motor vehicles were investigated using computational fluid dynamics(CFD)*** were treated as reactive by including a NO-NO_(2)-O_(3) photochemical reaction mechanism in the *** Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes(RANS)k-ε turbulence model and the discrete phase model were used to simulate the airflow movement and the concentration distribution,respectively,of the reactive pollutants in the street *** indices,i.e.,the chemical reaction contribution of NO(CRC_(NO)),the chemical reaction contribution of NO_(2)(CRC_(NO_(2))),and the O_(3) depletion rate,were used to evaluate the relative importance of the photochemical *** was found that the presence of a viaduct changed the flow field structure in the street *** CRC_(NO) and CRC_(NO_(2))decreased from the windward side to the leeward side of the *** maximum values of the CRC_(NO) and CRC_(NO_(2)) were observed at the pollution source(x=245 m)due to the influence of a clockwise vortex in the street *** the height and width of the viaduct increased,concentration of the ground pollutants and the O_(3) depletion rate *** O_(3) depletion rate was much higher on the leeward side(90%)than on the windward *** pollutant concentrations after the reaction were twice as high with the viaduct as without the viaduct when the viaduct height was the same as the building *** viaduct had a significantly larger influence on the concentration of the reactive pollutants than the chemical *** O_(3) depletion rate in the canyon and the pollutant concentrations decreased as the ambient wind speed increased,whereas the CRC_(NO_(2)) increased.

Well-developed pores and cracks in coal reservoirs are the main venues for gas storage and *** investigate the multi-scale pore fractal characteristics,six coal samples of different rankings were studied using high-pressure mercury injection(HPMI),low-pressure nitrogen adsorption(LPGA-N2),and scanning electron microscopy(SEM)test *** on the Frankel,Halsey and Hill(FHH)fractal theory,the Menger sponge model,Pores and Cracks Analysis System(PCAS),pore volume complexity(D_(v)),coal surface irregularity(Ds)and pore distribution heterogeneity(D_(p))were studied and evaluated,*** effect of three fractal dimensions on the gas adsorption ability was also analyzed with high-pressure isothermal gas adsorption *** show that pore structures within these coal samples have obvious fractal characteristics.A noticeable segmentation effect appears in the Dv1and Dv2fitting process,with the boundary size ranging from 36.00 to 182.95 nm,which helps differentiate diffusion pores and seepage *** D values show an asymmetric U-shaped trend as the coal metamorphism increases,demonstrating that coalification greatly affects the pore fractal *** three fractal dimensions can characterize the difference in coal microstructure and reflect their influence on gas adsorption *** volume(V_(L))has an evident and positive correlation with Dsvalues,whereas Langmuir pressure(P_(L))is mainly affected by the combined action of Dvand *** study will provide valuable knowledge for the appraisal of coal seam gas reservoirs of differently ranked coals.

Influence of Nano-Al Concentrates on the Corrosion Resistance of Epoxy Coatings

A two-stage process was used to produce nano-composite epoxy coatings. The first step involved preparing nano-AI concentrates with high concentration and low viscosity, and the second step produced nano- composite epoxy coatings by mixing the nano-AI concentrates and epoxy resin. Later, the coating was examined with immersion and salt spray tests. The coatings were characterized by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy （EIS）, scanning electron microscopy （SEM） and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy （XPS）. The results showed that the 5% nano-AI significantly improves the corrosion resistance of the coatings. There are two effects of nano-AI on the coating. Nano-AI is corroded initially to protect the substrate from corrosion, and then the aluminum oxide and aluminum hydroxide were produced after corrosion of nano-AI, which hindered the transmission of corrosion fluid into the coatings.

We used density functional theory calculations at the B3LYP/6-311G** level for a theoretical study on the complex formed when uranium(Ⅳ) coordinates with N,N'- bis(3-allyl salicylidene)-o-phenylenediamine(BASPDA),i.e.,U(BASPDA)_*** results indicated that the coordination complex of U(BASPDA)2 could form two different structures with a ratio of 1:*** was a parallel dislocation structure(PDS-U),in which the two BASPDAs' middle benzene rings adopted a parallel dislocation with an angle of 56.64°,and the other was a staggered finger "+" structure(SFS-U),in which the two BASPDAs employed the staggered finger "+" *** binding energies,charge distribution,spectral properties,thermodynamic properties,molecular orbitals and Wiberg bond indices for both PDS-U and SFS-U were calculated and compared with each other.
