The evolution of high-frequency communication has accentuated the significance of controlling dielectric properties in polymer ***,it has been theorized that rigid molecular chains lead to lower dielectric ***,the validity of this proposition at high frequencies remains *** scrutinize the correlation between chain flexibility and dielectric properties,we synthesized six poly(ester imide)s(PEIs)with systematically varied molecular chain flexibilities by modifying the ester's substitution on the aromatic *** introduction of ester bonds bestowed all PEI films with a low dielectric dissipation factor(D_(f)),ranging from 0.0021 to 0.0038 at 10 GHz in dry *** dry D_(f)displayed a pattern consistent with volume polarizability(P/V).Unexpectedly,PI-mmm-T,featu ring the most flexible molecular chain,exhibited the lowest dielectric loss under both dry(0.0021@10 GHz)and hygroscopic(0.0029@10 GHz)***,the observed increase in D_(f)after humidity absorption suggests that the high dielectric loss of PEI in applications may be attributed to its hygroscopic *** simulations and characterization of the aggregation structure revealed that the smaller cavities within flexible molecular chains,after close stacking,impede the entry of water *** sacrificing high-temperature resistance,the precursor exhibited enhanced solubility properties and could be processed into high-quality *** research unveils new insights into the relationship between flexibility and highfrequency dielectric loss,offering innovative perspectives on synthesizing aromatic polymers with exceptional dielectric properties.

Product selectivity and reaction pathway are highly dependent on surface structure of heterogeneous *** vapor-phase hydrogenation of dimethyl oxalate（DMO）, "EG route"(DMO→methyl glycolate（MG） ethylene glycol（EG）→ethanol（ET）) and "MA route"(DMO→ MG→methyl acetate（MA）) were proposed over traditional Cu based catalysts and Mo-based or Fe-based catalysts,***,tunable yield of ET（93.7%） and MA（72.1%） were obtained through different reaction routes over WOxmodified Cu/SiO2catalysts,and the corresponding reaction route was further proved by kinetic study and in-situ DRIFTS *** studies demonstrated that H2activation ability,acid density and Cu-WOxinteraction on the catalysts were tuned by regulating the surface W density,which resulted in the different reaction pathway and product ***'s more,high yield of MA produced from DMO hydrogenation was firstly reported with the H2pressure as low as 0.5 MPa.

Dear Editor,Major depressive disorder(MDD)is one of the most common psychiatric illnesses that significantly increase the risk of suicide.1 Stress-triggered dysfunctions of microglia have been identified as a commonly occurred pathological feature of MDD.1–3 Microglial dysfunction contributes to the pathogenesis of MDD via immunoresponses/neuroinflammation-mediated neural damage and pathological synapse loss-mediated neural circuit disruption.1 Although the involvement of microglia in MDD has been widely investigated,the molecular mechanisms underlying microglial dysfunction remain largely ***,we identified glutaminase 1(Gls1)as one key protein that participates in microglial dysfunction.4–6 Gls1 catalyzes the hydrolysis of glutamine to produce glutamate in the brain.4 Besides its well-known role in excitatory neurotoxicity,we found Gls1 up-regulation in microglia in animal models of Alzheimer’s disease and ischemic stroke.4,7 Gls1 activates microglia to overproduce cytokines and release inflammatory extracellular vesicles,therefore leading to neuroinflammation in animal models of Alzheimer’s disease and ischemic stroke.4–6 More importantly,Gls1 has been found to be up-regulated in the brains of MDD patients,and microglial Gls1 deficiency mitigated LPS-induced depression-like behaviors.8 However,LPS exposure is not an appropriate model to mimic MDD phenotypes,leaving the involvement of Gls1 in MDD an undetermined question.

The dysfunction of innate immunity components is one of the major drivers for ulcerative colitis(UC),and increasing reports indicate that the gut microbiome serves as an intermediate between genetic mutations and UC ***,we find that the IL-17 receptor subunit,CMTM4,is reduced in UC patients and dextran sulfate sodium(DSS)-induced *** deletion of CMTM4(Cmtm4^(-/-))in mice leads to a higher susceptibility to DSS-induced colitis than in wild-type,and the gut microbiome significantly changes in *** causal role of the gut microbiome is confirmed with a cohousing *** further identify that S100a8/9 is significantly up-regulated in Cmtm4^(-/-)colitis,with the block of its receptor RAGE that reverses the phenotype associated with the CMTM4 ***4 deficiency rather suppresses S100a8/9 expression in vitro via the IL17 pathway,further supporting that the elevation of S100a8/9 in vivo is most likely a result of microbial *** together,the results suggest that CMTM4 is involved in the maintenance of intestinal homeostasis,suppression of S100a8/9,and prevention of colitis *** study further shows CMTM4 as a crucial innate immunity component,confirming its important role in UC development and providing insights into potential targets for the development of future therapies.

BACKGROUND Acute pancreatitis(AP)encompasses a spectrum of pancreatic inflammatory conditions,ranging from mild inflammation to severe pancreatic necrosis and multisystem organ *** the challenges associated with obtaining human pancreatic samples,research on AP predominantly relies on animal *** this study,we aimed to elucidate the fundamental molecular mechanisms underlying AP using various AP *** To investigate the shared molecular changes underlying the development of AP across varying severity *** AP was induced in animal models through treatment with caerulein alone or in combination with lipopolysaccharide(LPS).Additionally,using Ptf1αto drive the specific expression of the hM3 promoter in pancreatic acinar cells transgenic C57BL/6J-hM3/Ptf1α(cre)mice were administered Clozapine N-oxide to induce ***,we conducted RNA sequencing of pancreatic tissues and validated the expression of significantly different genes using the Gene Expression Omnibus(GEO)*** Caerulein-induced AP showed severe inflammation and edema,which were exacerbated when combined with LPS and accompanied by partial pancreatic tissue *** with the control group,RNA sequencing analysis revealed 880 significantly differentially expressed genes in the caerulein model and 885 in the caerulein combined with the LPS *** Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes enrichment analysis and Gene Set Enrichment Analysis indicated substantial enrichment of the TLR and NOD-like receptor signaling pathway,TLR signaling pathway,and NF-κB signaling pathway,alongside elevated levels of apoptosis-related pathways,such as apoptosis,P53 pathway,and phagosome *** significantly elevated genes in the TLR and NOD-like receptor signaling pathways,as well as in the apoptosis pathway,were validated through quantitative real-time PCR experiments in animal *** from the GEO database revealed that only MYD88 concurred in both mouse panc

Continuum robots with high flexibility and compliance have the capability to operate in confined and cluttered environments. To enhance the load capacity while maintaining robot dexterity, we propose a novel non-constant subsegment stiffness structure for tendon-driven quasi continuum robots(TDQCRs) comprising rigid-flexible coupling *** at real-time control applications, we present a novel static-to-kinematic modeling approach to gain a comprehensive understanding of the TDQCR model. The analytical subsegment-based kinematics for the multisection manipulator is derived based on screw theory and product of exponentials formula, and the static model considering gravity loading,actuation loading, and robot constitutive laws is established. Additionally, the effect of tension attenuation caused by routing channel friction is considered in the robot statics, resulting in improved model accuracy. The root-mean-square error between the outputs of the static model and the experimental system is less than 1.63% of the arm length(0.5 m). By employing the proposed static model, a mapping of bending angles between the configuration space and the subsegment space is established. Furthermore, motion control experiments are conducted on our TDQCR system, and the results demonstrate the effectiveness of the static-to-kinematic model.
