Linked to major volcanic eruptions around 536 and 540 cE, the onset of the Late Antique Little Ice Age has been described as the coldest period of the past two millennia. The exact timing and spatial extent of this exceptional cold phase are, however, still under debate because of the limited resolution and geographical distribution of the available proxy archives. Here, we use 106 wood anatomical thin sections from 23forest sites and 20 tree species in both hemispheres to search for cell-level fingerprints of ephemeral summer cooling between 530 and 550 cE. After cross-dating and double-staining, we identified 89Blue Rings(lack of cell wall lignification), nine Frost Rings(cell deformation and collapse), and 93Light Rings(reduced cell wall thickening) in the Northern Hemisphere. Our network reveals evidence for the strongest temperature depression between mid-July and early-August 536 cE across North America and Eurasia, whereas more localised cold spells occurred in the summers of 532, 540–43, and548 cE. The lack of anatomical signatures in the austral trees suggests limited incursion of stratospheric volcanic aerosol into the Southern Hemisphere extra-tropics, that any forcing was mitigated by atmosphere-ocean dynamical responses and/or concentrated outside the growing season, or a combination of factors. Our findings demonstrate the advantage of wood anatomical investigations over traditional dendrochronological measurements, provide a benchmark for Earth system models, support cross-disciplinary studies into the entanglements of climate and history, and question the relevance of global climate averages.

现阶段，老年人口（≥65岁）的数量正迅速增加，而老年人更容易跌倒。跌倒不但对老年人自身及家庭成员的生活质量产生不利影响，也给医疗保健体系造成巨大的财政负担。系统性综述、meta分析的广泛研究为减少老年人跌倒确立了有效途径，尽管依然存在争议和不确定性。有证据表明，以运动为主、量身定制的干预措施是减少社区老年人跌倒、降低相关医疗费用最有效的方法。本综述概括了目前预防社区老年人跌倒的有关评估知识和管理战略，总结了老年人跌倒的已知危险因素，提出了跌倒风险的评估策略。本文还讨论了减少社区老年人跌倒的风险管理和干预措施、未来的发展方向以及前景看好的方法途径。

[背景]假设随着年龄的增长,空气污染和肥胖通过致炎特性加速肺功能减退。[目的]先前公布的以人口为基础的SAPALDIA队列研究中,空气质量改善与肺部健康之间是否存在关联。本文探讨肥胖是否会改变这一关联。[方法]使用校正的混合模型分析,评估在10年的随访期间,平均身体质量指数(BMI)和空气动力学直径≤10μm的颗粒物变化(PM10;ΔPM10)与肺功能减退之间的关联。[结果]共获得4664人的肺功能数据和完整信息。与低或正常平均BMI者相比,高平均BMI者年龄相关的肺功能减退,其FVc(用力肺活量)指标下降得更快,而FEV1/FVc(1秒用力呼气量/FVc)和FEF25-75(在25%～75%肺活量时的用力呼气流量)下降的速度较慢。在低和正常BMI者中,空气质量改善与随着时间推移的FEV1/FVc、FEF25-75、FEF25-75/FVc下降减缓相关,但在超重或肥胖者中无相关性。这种减缓作用在ΔFEF25-75/FVc上最为明显:在低或正常体质量者中,PM10每下降10μg/m3,ΔFEF25-75/FVc下降分别为30%和22%。[结论]上述研究结果指出并列考虑空气污染暴露和肥胖对健康的影响的重要性。今后需要进一步研究所观察到的相互作用的机制。

The cryptic lifestyle of most fungi necessitates molecular identification of the guild in environmental *** the past decades,rapid development and affordability of molecular tools have tremendously improved insights of the fungal diversity in all ecosystems and ***,in spite of the progress of molecular methods,knowledge about functional properties of the fungal taxa is vague and interpretation of environmental studies in an ecologically meaningful manner remains *** order to facilitate functional assignments and ecological interpretation of environmental studies we introduce a user friendly traits and character database FungalTraits operating at genus and species hypothesis *** the information from previous efforts such as FUNGuild and FunFun together with involvement of expert knowledge,we reannotated 10,210 and 151 fungal and Stramenopila genera,*** resulted in a stand-alone spreadsheet dataset covering 17 lifestyle related traits of fungal and Stramenopila genera,designed for rapid functional assignments of environmental *** order to assign the trait states to fungal species hypotheses,the scientific community of experts manually categorised and assigned available trait information to 697,413 fungal ITS *** the basis of those sequences we were able to summarise trait and host information into 92,623 fungal species hypotheses at 1%dissimilarity threshold.

Searching for the neutrinoless double beta decay(NLDBD)is now regarded as the topmost promising technique to explore the nature of neutrinos after the discovery of neutrino masses in oscillation *** X-III(particle and astrophysical xenon experiment III)will search for the NLDBD of136Xe at the china Jin Ping Underground Laboratory(cJPL).In the first phase of the experiment,a high pressure gas Time Projection chamber(TPc)will contain 200 kg,90%136Xe enriched gas operated at10 *** pitch micro-pattern gas detector(Microbulk Micromegas)will be used at both ends of the TPc for the charge readout with a cathode in the *** signals can be used to reconstruct the electron tracks of the NLDBD events and provide good energy and spatial *** detector will be immersed in a large water tank to ensure～5 m of water shielding in all *** second phase,a ton-scale experiment,will consist of five TPcs in the same water tank,with improved energy resolution and better control over backgrounds.
