Environmental stability is a major bottleneck of perovskite solar *** a handful of studies are investigating the effect of moisture on the structural degradation of the *** mostly rely on ex situ experiments and on completely degraded samples,which restrict the assessment on initial and final *** combining in situ X-ray diffraction under controlled 85%relative humidity,and live observations of the water-induced degradation using liquid-cell transmission electron microscopy,we reveal two competitive degradation paths leading on one hand to the decomposition of state-of-theart mixed cation/anion(Cs_(0.05)(MA_(0.17)FA_(0.83))_(0.95)Pb(Br_(0.17)I_(0.83))_(3)(CsMAFA)into PbI_(2) through a dissolution/recrystallization mechanism and,on the other hand,to a non-equilibrium phase segregation leading to CsPb_(2)Br_(5) and a Cesium-poor/iodide-rich Cs_(0.05)-x(MA_(0.17)FA_(0.83))_(0.95)Pb(Br_(0.17-2y)I_(0.83)+2y)_(3) *** degradation mechanism is corroborated at atomic-scale resolution through solid-state ^(1)H and ^(133)Cs nMR *** to moisture leads to a film containing important heterogeneities in terms of morphology,photoluminescence intensities,and *** results provide new insights and consensus that complex perovskite compositions,though very performant as champion devices,are comparatively metastable,a trait that limits the chances to achieve long-term stability.

Dear Editor,Physical injury and tissue damage are prevalent throughout the animal kingdom,with the ability to regenerate quickly and efficiently providing a selective *** most vertebrates,skeletal muscle possesses a remarkable ability to regenerate,making it a valuable model for investigating the cellular processes underpinning tissue *** damage,skeletal muscle mounts a complex regenerative cascade centered around dedicated muscle stem cells,i.e.,satellite *** satellite cells are,in turn,regulated by both resident and infiltrating innate immune cells of myeloid lineage,which play a crucial role in activating and guiding the transition of satellite cells towards maturation(Chen et al.,2020;Tidball,2017;Tidball&Villalta,2010).While critical for muscle regeneration,the innate immune system is energetically costly,resulting in many species decreasing immune investment under nutrient-limited *** this reduced investment results in a decreased capacity to mount a regenerative response following tissue damage remains ***,we utilized an emerging evolutionary model,the Mexican tetra(Astyanax mexicanus),to investigate the consequences of shifts in immune system investment on skeletal muscle regeneration.

The extension of plasmonics to materials beyond the conventional noble metals opens up a novel and exciting regime after the inspiring discovery of characteristic localized surface plasmon resonances(LSPRs)in doped semiconductor nanocrystals originating from the collective oscillations of free holes in the valence *** herein prepare colloidal monodisperse eccentric dual plasmonic noble metal-nonstoichiometric copper chalcogenide(Au@Cu_(2-x)Se)hybrid hetero-nanostructures with precisely controlled semiconductor shell size and two tunable LSPRs in both visible(VIS)and near-infrared(nIR)regions associated with Au and Cu_(2-x)Se,*** systematic evaluations of the photocatalytic performance of Au@Cu_(2-x)Se upon sole nIR and dual VIS+nIR simultaneous excitations,we are capable of unambiguously elucidating the role of plasmonic coupling between two dissimilar building blocks on the accelerated photocatalytic reactions with greater rate constants from both experimental and computational *** significantly enhanced strength of the electromagnetic field arising from efficient plasmonic coupling under the excitation of two LSPRs results in the superior activities of dual plasmonic Au@Cu_(2-x)Se in *** new physical and chemical insights gained from this work provide the keystone for the rational design and construction of high-quality dual-or even multi-plasmonic nano-systems with optimized properties for widespread applications ranging from photocatalysis to molecular spectroscopies.

node-link visual representation is a widely used tool that allows decision-makers to see details about a network through the appropriate choice of visual ***,existing visualization methods are not always effective and efficient in representing bivariate graph-based *** study proposes a novel node-link visual model–visual entropy(Vizent)graph–to effectively represent both primary and secondary values,such as uncertainty,on the edges *** performed two user studies to demonstrate the efficiency and effectiveness of our approach in the context of static nodelink *** the first experiment,we evaluated the performance of the Vizent design to determine if it performed equally well or better than existing alternatives in terms of response time and *** static visual encodings that use two visual cues were selected from the literature for comparison:Width-Lightness,Saturation-Transparency,and numerical *** compared the Vizent design to the selected visual encodings on various graphs ranging in complexity from 5 to 25 edges for three different *** participants achieved higher accuracy of their responses using Vizent and numerical values;however,both Width-Lightness and Saturation-Transparency did not show equal performance for all *** results suggest that increasing graph size has no impact on Vizent in terms of response time and *** performance of the Vizent graph was then compared to the numerical values *** Wilcoxon signed-rank test revealed that mean response time in seconds was significantly less when the Vizent graphs were presented,while no significant difference in accuracy was *** results from the experiments are encouraging and we believe justify using the Vizent graph as a good alternative to traditional methods for representing bivariate data in the context of node-link diagrams.

BACKGROUnD non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(nAFLD)is becoming a major health problem,resulting in hepatic,metabolic and cardio-vascular *** To evaluate new ultrasonographic tools to detect and measure hepatic *** We prospectively included 105 patients referred to our liver unit for nAFLD suspicion or *** underwent ultrasonographic measurement of liver sound speed estimation(SSE)and attenuation coefficient(AC)using Aixplorer MACH 30(Supersonic Imagine,France),continuous controlled attenuation parameter(cCAP)using Fibroscan(Echosens,France)and standard liver ultrasound with hepato-renal index(HRI)*** steatosis was then classified according to magnetic resonance imaging proton density fat fraction(PDFF).Receiver operating curve(ROC)analysis was performed to evaluate the diagnostic performance in the diagnosis of *** Most patients were overweight or obese(90%)and had metabolic syndrome(70%).One third suffered from *** was identified in 85 patients(81%)according to ***-one patients(20%)had advanced liver ***,AC,cCAP and HRI correlated with PDFF,with respective Spearman correlation coefficient of-0.39,0.42,0.54 and 0.59(Pnder the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUROC)for detection of steatosis with HRI was 0.91(0.83-0.99),with the best cut-off value being 1.3(Se=83%,Sp=98%).The optimal cCAP threshold of 275 dB/m,corresponding to the recent EASL-suggested threshold,had a sensitivity of 72%and a specificity of 80%.Corresponding AUROC was 0.79(0.66-0.92).The diagnostic accuracy of cCAP was more reliable when standard deviation wasn AUC of 0.91(0.83-0.98).An AC threshold of 0.42 dB/cm/MHz had an AUROC was 0.82(0.70-0.93).SSE performed moderately with an AUROC of 0.73(0.62-0.84).COnCLUSIOn Among all ultrasonographic tools evaluated in this study,including new-generation tools such as cCAP and SSE,HRI had the best *** is also the simple
