A novel dendritic europium complex containing grafted carbazole units as functional peripheries was synthesized and characterized. The Foerster energy transfer from the peripheries of carbazole units to β-diketonate as well as from the hgands to the central Eu（Ⅲ） ions in the complex was demonstrated. Under the excitation of carbazole units and β-diketonate, characteristic red emission peaks at 612 nm with four shoulders due to the Eu（Ⅲ） ion transition of 5^D0→7^Fj.（j.0-4） were observed for the complex.

Obj.ctive:No standard strategy for diagnosis and management of positive surgical margin(PSM)and local recurrence after partial nephrectomy(PN)are reported in *** review aims to provide an overview of the current strategies and further perspectives on this patient ***:A non-systematic review of the literature was *** research included the most updated articles(about the last 10 years).Results:Techniques for diagnosing PSMs during PN include intraoperative frozen section,imprinting cytology,and other specific *** clear evidence is reported about these *** PSM management,active surveillance with a combination of imaging and laboratory evaluation is the first option line followed by *** local recurrence management,surgery is the primary curative approach when possible but it may be technically difficult due to anatomy resultant from previous *** this scenario,thermal ablation(TA)may have the potential to circumvent these limitations representing a less invasive *** surgery represents a valid option;six studies analyzed the outcomes of nephrectomy on local recurrence after PN with three of these focused on robotic ***all,complication rates of salvage surgery are higher compared to TA but ablation presents a higher recurrence rate up to 25%of cases that can often be managed with repeat ***:Controversy still exists surrounding the best strategy for management and diagnosis of patients with PSMs or local recurrence after *** surveillance is likely to be the optimal first-line management option for most patients with *** and salvage surgery both represent valid options in patients with local recurrence after ***,salvage PN and radical nephrectomy have fewer recurrences but are associated with a higher complication rate compared to *** this scenario,robotic surgery plays an important role in improving salvage PN and radical nephrectom

Understanding the determinants of ranging patterns in species susceptible to habitat fragmentation is fundamental for assessing their long-term adaptability to an increasingly human-dominated *** aim of this study was to determine and compare the influence of ground-based food availability,remotely sensed plant productivity,and indigenous forest use on the ranging patterns of the endangered samango monkey(Cercopithecus albogularis schwarzi).We collected monthly ranging data on two habituated samango monkey groups,from February 2012 to December 2016,from our field site in the Soutpansberg Mountains,South *** used linear mixed models to explore how food availability,plant productivity,and indigenous forest use influenced monthly ranging patterns,while controlling for group size,number of sample days and day *** found that as more areas of high plant productivity(derived from remotely sensed EVI)were incorporated into the ranging area,both total and core monthly ranging areas *** addition,both total ranging area and mean monthly daily path length decreased as more indigenous forest was incorporated into the ranging ***,we found no effect of either ground-based food availability or remotely sensed plant productivity on ranging *** findings demonstrate the behavioral flexibility in samango monkey ranging,as samangos can utilize matrix habitat during periods of low productivity but are ultimately dependent on access to indigenous forest *** addition,we highlight the potential of using remotely sensed areas of high plant productivity to predict ranging patterns in a small ranging,forest-dwelling guenon,over ground-based estimates of food availability.

Despite the developments in the diagnostic and management strategies, a considerable number of colorectal cancer (CRC) patients present with disease recurrence after curative surgery. Moreover;there are no reliable indicators to determine the prognosis and response of CRC patients to therapy. By harnessing recent technological advances in molecular profiling techniques, it is anticipated that greater insight to the various combinations of genetic events or alternative pathways underlying carcinogenesis will be gained. By carrying out literature search, we were able to identify a comprehensive list of genes with high differential expression patterns in colorectal cancer that could serve as molecular markers to complement existing histopathological factors in diagnosis, follow up and therapeutic strategies for individualized care of patients.

Using the Urumqi 25 m radio telescope, sources from the first three months of the Fermi-large area telescope detected active galactic nuclei （AGN） catalog with a declination of 〉 0° were observed in 2009 at 4.8 GHz. The radio flux density ap- peared to correlate with the γ-ray intensity. Intra-day variability （IDV） observations were performed in March, April and May 2009 for 42 selected γ-ray bright blazars, and ~60% of them showed evidence of flux variability at 4.8 GHz during the IDV observations. The IDV detection rate was higher than that in previous flat-spectrum AGN samples. IDV appeared more often in the very long baseline interferometry-core dominant blazars, and the non-IDV blazars showed relatively ＂steeper＂ spectral in- dices than the IDV blazars. Pronounced inter-month variability was also found in two BL Lac obj.cts： j.112＋2244 and j.238＋1636.

Colorectal cancer (CRC) results from the progressive accumulation of genetic and epigenetic alterations that lead to the transformation of normal colonic epithelium to colon adenocarcinoma. From the analysis of the molecular genesis of colon cancer, four central tenets concerning the pathogenesis of cancer have been established. The first is that the genetic and epigenetic alterations that underlie colon cancer formation promote the cancer formation process because they provide a clonal growth advantage to the cells that acquire them. The second tenet is that cancer emerges via a multi-step progression at both the molecular and the morphologic level. The third is that loss of genomic stability is a key molecular step in cancer formation. The fourth is that hereditary cancer syndromes frequently correspond to germ line forms of key genetic defects whose somatic occurrences drive the emergence of sporadic colon cancers.
