Aim:Mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)are an excellent potential source of cells for bone tissue engineering due to their excellent renewal ability and osteogenic differentiation *** study was designed to evaluate the bone formation properties of a demineralized cancellous bone scaffold seeded with MSCs,with or without periosteum,in a critical size bone defect model in ***:Rabbit culture-expanded bone marrow(BM)-MSCs were seeded onto a human demineralized cancellous bone(HDCB)*** defects measuring 15 mm in length were created in each radius.A total of 56 bone defects in 28 rabbits were randomly assigned to one of the 4 groups for scaffold implantation:Group 1:HDCB graft only;Group 2:periosteum-wrapped HDCB graft;Group 3:HDCB graft seeded with BM-MSCs and Group 4:periosteum-wrapped HDCB graft seeded with *** rabbits were sacrificed 12 weeks after surgery for gross observation,radiological assessment,histological analyses and biomechanical ***:New bone(NB)formation and bone healing were successfully achieved,both radiologically and histologically,on demineralized cancellous bone graft seeded with *** were improved when BM-MSCs were associated with ***:This study demonstrates that repair of bone defects in a rabbit model can be achieved through bone grafting using BM-MSCs,implanted on a demineralized cancellous bone *** formation of NB was optimized when combined with the preservation of periosteum at the site of injury.

The recent emergence and application of engineered endonucleases have led to the development of genome editing tools capable of rapidly implementing various targeted genome editions in a wide range of ***,these novel tools have become easier to use and have resulted in a great increase of *** gene knockout（KO） or knockin（KI） animal models are relatively easy to achieve,there is a bottleneck in the detection and analysis of these *** several methods exist to detect these targeted mutations,we developed a heteroduplex mobility assay on an automated microfluidic capillary electrophoresis system named HMA-CE in order to accelerate the genotyping *** HMA-CE method uses a simple PCR amplification of genomic DNA（gDNA） followed by an automated capillary electrophoresis step which reveals a heteroduplexes（HD） signature for each *** allows efficient discrimination of wild-type and genome-edited animals down to the single base pair level.

This paper introduces a new study on the optimum calculation of partial transmission ratios of mechanical drive system using a V-belt and two-step bevel helical gearbox for getting minimum size of the system. In the paper, based on moment equilibrium condition of a mechanic system including V-belt and a two-gear-unit of the gearbox, models for optimum calculation of the partial ratios of the V-belt and the gearbox were proposed. As the models are explicit, the partial ratios can be calculated accurately and simply.

This research evaluates the ability of six soybean local cultivars and a control cultivar(DT84) to tolerate severe *** this research,SL5 and SL6 have the most stress tolerance while DT84 and SL1 have the least stress *** have isolated P5CS gene as it relates to stress tolerance by using PCR with *** results show that the size of the P5CS gene of the studied cultivars is 2,148 bp,which encodes for 715 amino *** these proteins are compared with the P5CS proteins of the other species,the result shows that the isolated P5CS proteins have a higher identity than other bean *** are located on the same branch of the phylogenetic ***(Pro) is one of the most accumulated osmolytes in salinity and water deficit conditions in plants.P5CS is a key regulatory enzyme involved in prolin biosynthesis in plants and is subject to feedback inhibition by *** conserved aspartate residue at 126 and the phenylalanine at 129 are involved in the feedback inhibition by Pro binding.A gene encoding a feedback insensitive P5CS enzyme was obtained by mutating the P5CS *** mutation was due to a change of an aspartate at position 125 to alanine in the *** mutated gene was cloned in pBT vector and *** gene will be transfered to plants to increase the level of proline overproduction and to enhance the drought tolerance ability.

Full-Filling Subcarrier Power Allocation in OFDMA-Based Cognitive Radio Systems

When implementing an appropriate windowing, the interference from a Cognitive Radio (CR) system to licensed systems (primary users) will be significantly reduced. Consequently, power allocated to subcarriers can be increased, especially subcarriers having far spectral distance to primary user bands can be allocated full of its maximum possible power. In this paper, we propose a new class of sub-optimal subcarrier power allocation algorithm that significantly reduces complexity of OFDMA-based CR systems. Two sub-optimal proposals, called Pre-set Filling Range (PFR) and Maximum Filling Range (MFR) are studied. Investigations show that this new power allocating algorithm allows CR systems obtain high throughput while retaining low complexity.

红松杈干类型与林分密度、个体生长指标及丰年株均结实量的关系

选取4种密度的红松人工林,设置15块25 m×40 m的临时样地,采用单因素Logistic回归分析和Meta分析方法定量分析了不同杈干类型与红松林分密度、树高、胸径、冠幅及丰年结实量的关系。结果表明:杈干率随着密度的增大呈现降低趋势,与密度600株·hm^(-2)相比,密度750、900和1200株·hm-2的杈干发生概率分别降低了24%、51%和59%;3种杈干类型中以双杈为主,样地内双杈类型株数占杈干总株数的60%以上;杈干对红松各项生长指标和丰年结实量均有显著影响(P≤0.05),杈干木的平均树高、胸径、冠幅和丰年单株球果产量与未杈干木相比分别增加了2.12%、4.69%、4.89%和29.57%;不同杈干类型对红松树高、胸径和结实的影响规律不同,单杈类型对红松生长和结实指标影响不显著(P>0.05),其平均树高、胸径、冠幅、丰年单株结实量分别比未杈干类型增加了1.49%、1.99%、1.47%和20.64%;双杈和多杈干类型的各指标与未杈干类型相比有显著差异(P≤0.05),其平均树高、胸径、冠幅及丰年单株球果产量比未杈干木分别增加了2.07%和2.90%,6.00%和6.09%,6.29%和5.99%,及34.61%和26.22%。Logistic回归模型和Meta分析结果证明,红松杈干木对生长结实的促进效应明显,其中双杈和多杈干类型的促进效应表现明显,单杈木的杈干效应不明显,40 a左右的红松人工林杈干效应在林分密度600~750株·hm^(-2)是最佳的。

Directly immobilized DNA sensor for label-free detection of herpes virus

This paper reports the direct immobilization of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) sequences of Herpes simplex virus (5’–AT CAC CGA CCC GGA GAG GGA C–3’) on the surface of DNA sensor by using the cyclic voltammetric method with the presence of pyrrole. The potential was scanned from –0.7 volt to + 0.6 volt, the scanning rate was at 100mV/s. This kind of DNA sensor was developed to detect Herpes virus DNA in real samples. The FTIR was applied to verify specific binding of DNA sequence and conducting polymer, the morphology of conducting polymer doped with DNA strands was investigated by using a field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM). The results showed that output signal given by coimmobilized DNA/PPy membrane sensor was better than that given by APTS immobilized membrane sensors. The sensor can detect as low as 2 nM of DNA target in real samples.

A New Approach for Ranking Efficient Units in Data Envelopment Analysis and Application to a Sample of Vietnamese Agricultural Bank Branches

This paper proposes a new approach for ranking efficiency units in data envelopment analysis as a modification of the super-efficiency models developed by Tone [1]. The new approach based on slacks-based measure of efficiency (SBM) for dealing with objective function used to classify all of the decision-making units allows the ranking of all inefficient DMUs and overcomes the disadvantages of infeasibility. This method also is applied to rank super-efficient scores for the sample of 145 agricultural bank branches in Viet Nam during 2007-2010. We then compare the estimated results from the new SCI model and the exsisting SBM model by using some statistical tests.

Elevating the charge cut-off voltage beyond traditional 4.2 V is a commonly accepted technology to increase the energy density of Li-ion batteries(LIBs) but the risk of Li-dendrites and fire hazard increases as well. The use of ambi-functional additive, which forms stable solid electrolyte interphase(SEI) simultaneously at both cathode and anode, is a key to enabling a dendrites-free and well-working high-voltage LIB. Herein, a novel ambi-functional additive, pentaerythritol disulfate(PEDS), at 1 wt% without any other additive is demonstrated. We show the feasibility and high impacts of PEDS in forming lithium sulfateincorporated robust SEI layers at NCM523 cathode and graphite anode in 1 Ah-level pouch cell under4.4 V, 25 °C and 0.1 C rate, which mitigates the high-voltage instability, metal-dissolution and cracks on NCM523 particles, and prevents Li-dendrites at graphite anode. Improved capacity retention of 83%after 300 cycles is thereby achieved, with respect to 69% with base electrolyte, offering a promising path toward the design of practical high-energy LIBs.

This paper presents a study on optimum determination of partial ratios of mechanical drive systems using a chain drive and two-step helical gearbox for getting minimum size of the system. The chosen objective function was the cross section dimension of the system. In solving the optimization problem, the design equation for pitting resistance of a gear set was investigated and equations on moment equilibrium condition of a mechanic system including a chain drive and two helical gear units and their regular resistance condition were analyses. From the results of the study, effective formulas for determination of the partial ratios of the chain drive and two-step helical gearboxes were introduced. As the formulas are explicit, the partial ratios can be calculated accurately and simply.
