Antibiofilm activity of alpha-mangostin loaded nanoparticles against Streptococcus mutans

Objective:to investigate the antibiofilm activity of alphamangostin(AMG)loaded nanoparticle(nano AMG)against dental caries pathogen Streptococcus ***:AMG was isolated from the peels of Garcinia mangostana *** silica gel columns and chemically analysed by high performance liquid chromatography and nuclear magnetic *** AMG was prepared using the solvent evaporation method combined with high-speed *** nanoparticles were characterized using dynamic light scattering,field emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM)and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FtiR).the toxicity of nano AMG in fibroblast NiH/3 t3 cell line was determined using Mtt *** antibiofilm effect of nano AMG was determined through the evaluation of biofilm formation by Streptococcus mutans using a 96-well *** biomass was quantified using crystal *** viability was observed under confocal microscopy using LiVE/DEAD Bac Light ***,gene expression was determined by quantitative real-time PCR and membrane permeabilization activity by measuring the uptake of o-nitrophenol-β-***:Nano AMG size was in a range of 10-50 nm with a polydispersity index ofta potential value of-35.2 m *** size and the incorporation of AMG in the nanoparticles were confirmed by FE-SEM and FtiR *** iC50 values of the test agents on NiH/3 t3 cells were(9.80±0.63)μg/m L for AMG and(8.70±0.81)μg/m L for nano AMG,while no toxicity was generated from excipients used to prepare *** the early stage of biofilm formation,treatment with 6.25μmol/L nano AMG caused a reduction in biofilm biomass up to 49.1%,compared to 33.4%for *** contrast,biofilms at the late stage were more resistant to the test *** 96μmol/L(=10×MiC),nano AMG reduced only 20.7%of biofilm biomass while AMG did not showany *** of gtf B and gtf C genes involved in biofilm formation were down-regulated 3.3 and 12.5 folds,res

in t.is study, a two-stage method is presented for identifying multiple damage scenarios. in the first stage, the damage locating vector （DLV） method using normalized cumulative energy （nce） is employed for damage localization in structures. in the second stage, the differential evolution algorithm （DE） is used for damage severity of the structures. in addition, in the second stage, a modification of an available objective function is made for handing the issue of symmet.ic structures. to verify the effectiveness of the present technique, numerical examples of a 72-bar space truss and a one-span steel portal frame are considered. in addition, the effect of noise on the performance of the identification results is also investigated. the numerical results show that the proposed combination gives good assessment of damage location and extent for multiple structural damage cases.

Adaptive selective ES-FEM limit analysis of cracked plane-strain structures

t.is paper presents a simple and efficient approach for predicting the plastic limit loads in cracked plane-strain structures. We use two levels of mesh repartitioning for the finite element limit analysis. the master level handles an adaptive primal-mesh process through a dissipation-based indicator. the slave level performs the subdivision of each t.iangle into three sub-t.iangles and constitutes a dual mesh from a pair of two adjacent sub-t.iangles shared by common edges of the primal mesh. Applying a strain smoot.ing projection to the strain rates on the dual mesh, the incompressibility constraint and the flow rule constraint are imposed over the edge-based smoot.ing domains and everywhere in the problem domain. the limit analysis problem is recast.into the compact form of a second-order cone programming (SOCP) for the purpose of exploiting interior-point solvers. the present method ret.ins a low number of optimization variables. it offers a convenient way for designing and solving the large-scale optimization problems effectively. Several benchmark examples are given to show the simplicity and effectiveness of the present method.

Clinical outcomes of patients with chronic hepatitis C after generic direct-acting antiviral treatments in Vietnam: A retrospective analysis

Objective:to evaluate the outcomes of generic direct-acting antiviral treatments for chronic hepatitis C in ***:the medical records of 522 patients(median 45 years;Female,25.3%)with chronic hepatitis C treated at a tertiary hospital in northern Vietnam in 2016 were retrospectively ***:Female patients were significantly older than male patients(median 52,iQR 41-59 vs.43 years,iQR:39-55;Ptients,49.4%were infected with hepatitis C virus(HCV)genotype 6,followed by 1 a(19.0%),1 b(13.0%),and 3(5.9%).Coinfection with hepatitis B virus or human immunodeficiency virus was noted in 5.8%and 3.1%of patients,*** were treated with ledipasvir/sofosbuvir with or without ribavirin(70.9%),sofosbuvir/pegylated-interferon+ribavirin(13.2%),daclatasvir/sofosbuvir with or without ribavirin(12.5%),or sofosbuvir/ribavirin(3.4%),and 96.4%(n=503)completed the direct-acting antiviral *** patient discontinued treatment due to adverse event(s).A sust.ined virologic response 12 weeks after the end of the treatment(SVR12)was evaluated in 62.6%of *** sust.ined virologic response 12 weeks after the end of the treatment was 98.7%regardless of HCV genotypes or direct-acting antiviral *** severity of liver stiffness was significantly decreased from 10.2 to 6.3 kilopascals measured by transient elastography by the treatment(Ptients who completed the directacting antiviral treatment,17.7%returned for further follow-ups after ***:in Vietnam,the current generic direct-acting antiviral treatment for chronic hepatitis C was effective regardless of HCV genotypes and direct-acting antiviral regimens with the attenuation of liver *** is feasible to implement direct-acting antiviral treatment to cure chronic hepatitis C patients at any liver fibrosis stages in Vietnam.

the node-based smoothed finite element method(NS-FEM)is shortly presented for calculations of the static and seismic bearing capacities of shallow st.ip footings.A series of computations has been performed to assess variations in seismic bearing capacity factors with both horizontal and vertical seismic *** results obt.ined agree very well with those using the slip-line method,revealing that the magnitude of the seismic bearing capacity is highly dependent upon the combinations of various directions of both components of the seismic *** upward vertical seismic acceleration reduces the seismic bearing capacity compared to the downward vertical seismic acceleration in *** addition,particular emphasis is placed on a separate estimation of the effects of soil and superstructure inertia on each seismic bearing capacity *** the effect of inertia forces arising in the soil on the seismic bearing capacity is non-t.ivial,and the superstructure inertia is the major cont.ibutor to reductions in the seismic bearing *** tables and charts are given for practical application to the seismic design of the foundations.

t.is paper presents a new approach using correlation and cross-correlation coefficients to evaluate the stiffness degradation of beams under moving *** theoretical study of identifying defects by vibration methods showed that the traditional methods derived from the vibration measurement data have not met the needs of the actual *** show that the correlation coefficients allow us to evaluate the degree and the effectiveness of the defects on *** the same time,the cross-correlation model is the basis for determining the relative position of *** results of t.is study are experimentally conducted to confirm the relationship between the correlation coefficients and the existence of the *** particular,the manuscript shows that the sensitivity of the correlation coefficients and cross-correlation is much higher than the parameters such as changes in stiffness(EJ)and natural frequency values(Δf).t.is study suggests using the above parameters to evaluate the stiffness degradation of beams by vibration measurement data in practice.

随着越南市场经济的改革不断地深入,越南新媒体产业化进程也在不断地加速,越南新媒体广告从萌芽到诞生,充满了生机,发展很快,虽然才发展了很短的一段时间,就已经取得了很大的成果。在迅速发展壮大的过程当中,越南新媒体广告不仅仅呈现出了具有越南特色的发展轨迹,而且还表现出了更符合越南当代国情的发展特点。新媒体广告是新媒体行业的主要内容之一,到目前为止,广告收入仍然是新媒体行业收入的主要来源。首先,该论文从越南新媒体广告的发展历程开始研究,并通过实际情况将其分为了三个部分,第一部分是越南新媒体广告的诞生及发展的历史;第二部分是越南新媒体广告的经营和管理现状;第三部分则是越南新媒体广告所面临的机遇和挑战。该论文详细地分析了越南新媒体广告近几年的经营管理状况,并使用文献分析法阐述了越南新媒体广告的发展历程以及取得的成果。通过研究相关法律法规并结合越南新媒体的发展现状,笔者认为越南的关于广告法律的规定还存在很多不足之处,还有需要不断地补充完善。越南通过改革开放和加入国际贸易组织给越南经济带来了很多的活力,与此同时,也为越南的发展带来了很大的挑战与机遇,新媒体广告行业是越南经济的一部分,所以,越南新媒体广告的发展有着美好的前景,但也面临着挑战。其次,该论文系统描述了越南新媒体广告存在的问题,主要有在四个方面的问题,即越南新媒体广告创作和制作的问题;越南新媒体广告相关政策法规的漏洞问题;新媒体广告公司和广告活动的发布者之间存在的问题;面对新媒体不断更新变化的挑战的问题。最后,文章对越南新媒体广告的后的发展进行了预测,认为在全球化的大背景之下,品牌战略、规模战略、国际战略将是越南新媒体广告的最终会走向,而娱乐化、图片化、情感化将会成为今后新媒体广告发展的主流趋势。本文主要采用的例子说明,归纳推理等方法,从开发,营销策略和竞争环境的实际点出发,对新媒体广告的发展现状进行了分析,并从不同的角度梳理新媒体广告的发展,以及所面临的社会问题,创新新媒体广告策略的某些方面。

Free vibration analysis of laminated FG-CNt reinforced composite beams using finite element method

in the present study, the free vibration of laminated functionally graded carbon nanotube reinforced composite beams is analyzed. the laminated beam is made of perfectly bonded carbon nanotubes reinforced composite (CNtRC) layers. in each layer, single-walled carbon nanotubes are assumed to be unifonnly dist.ibuted (UD) or functionally graded (FG) dist.ibuted along the t.ickness direction. Effective material properties of the two-phase composites, a mixture of carbon nanotubes (CNts) and an isotropic polymer, are calculated using the extended nile of mixture. the first-order shear deformation theory is used to formulate a governing equation for predicting free vibration of laminated functionally graded carbon nanotubes reinforced composite (FG?CNtRC) beams. the governing equation is solved by the finite element method with various boundary conditions. Several numerical tests are perfbnned to investigate the influence of the CNts volume fractions, CNts dist.ibutions, CNts orientation angles, boundary conditions, length-to-t.ickness ratios and the numbers of layers on the frequencies of the laminated FG-CNtRC beams. Moreover, a laminated composite beam combined by various dist.ibution types of CNts is also studied.
