The effect of cationic additive on Cr/nanodiamond plating was *** plating was performed in Sargent *** of deposit was observed by scanning electron microscope(SEM);microhardness by hardness tester;wear rate by tribometer;amount of diamond in deposit by combustion method and passivity by potentiodynamic *** results show that in the presence of cobalt cation,the amount of nanodiamond particle in the deposit is *** increasing diamond particle amount,the metallurgical,mechanical and electrochemical properties of Cr/nanodiamond deposit are ***,this improvement seems to be *** the presence of 10 g/L of nanodiamond powder and 2.5 g/L of cobalt cation in the bath,the amount of diamond particle in deposit is increased by 4 times;and wear rate of Cr-Co/nanodiamond deposit is decreased by 2-3 times as compared with pure Cr/*** passive current of Cr-Co/nanodiamond composite deposit is decreased from 18 to 8 μ*** morphology of Cr/nanodiamond is smooth remarkably in the presence of cobalt cation.

Wastewater containing an azo dye Orange G(OG)causes massive environmental pollution,thus it is critical to develop a highly effective,environmental-friendly,and reusable catalyst in peroxymonosulfate(PMS)activation for OG *** this work,we successfully applied a magnetic MnFe_(2)O_(4)/α-MnO_(2) hybrid fabricated by a simple hydrothermal method for OG removal in *** characteristics of the hybrid were investigated by Xray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy,energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,Brunauer–Emmett–Teller method,vibrating sample magnetometry,electron paramagnetic resonance,thermogravimetric analysis,and X-ray photoelectron *** effects of operational parameters(i.e.,catalytic system,catalytic dose,solution pH,and temperature)were *** results exhibited that 96.8% of OG degradation was obtained with MnFe_(2)O_(4)/α-MnO2(1:9)/PMS system in 30 min regardless of solution pH ***,the possible reaction mechanism of the coupling system was proposed,and the degradation intermediates of OG were identified by mass *** radical quenching experiments and EPR tests demonstrated that SO_(4)•̶,O_(2)•̶,and 1O2 were the primary reactive oxygen species responsible for the OG *** hybrid also displayed unusual stability with less than 30%loss in the OG removal after four sequential ***,magnetic MnFe2O4/α-MnO2 hybrid could be used as a high potential activator of PMS to remove orange G and maybe other dyes from wastewater.

In this study, a two-stage method is presented for identifying multiple damage scenarios. In the first stage, the damage locating vector （DLV） method using normalized cumulative energy （nce） is employed for damage localization in structures. In the second stage, the differential evolution algorithm （DE） is used for damage severity of the structures. In addition, in the second stage, a modification of an available objective function is made for handing the issue of symmetric structures. To verify the effectiveness of the present technique, numerical examples of a 72-bar space truss and a one-span steel portal frame are considered. In addition, the effect of noise on the performance of the identification results is also investigated. The numerical results show that the proposed combination gives good assessment of damage location and extent for multiple structural damage cases.

Bertram Huppert conjectured in the late 1990s that the nonabelian simple groups are determined up to an abelian direct factor by the set of their character degrees. Although the conjecture has been established for various simple groups of Lie type and simple sporadic groups, it is expected to be difficult for alternating groups. In [5], Hup- pert verified the conjecture for the simple alternating groups AN of degree up to 11. In this paper, we continue his work and verify the conjecture for the alternating groups of degrees 12 and 13.

Fog computing in the Internet of Health Things(IoHT)is promising owing to the increasing need for energy-and latency-optimized health sector ***,clinical data(particularly,medical image data)are a delicate,highly protected resource that should be utilized in an effective and responsible manner to fulfil consumer ***,we propose an energy-efficient fog-based IoHT with a tunicate swarm-optimization-(TSO)-based lightweight Simon cipher to enhance the energy efficiency at the fog layer and the security of data stored at the cloud *** proposed Simon cipher uses the TSO algorithm to select the optimal keys that will minimize the deterioration of quality between the original and reconstructed(decrypted)*** this study,the decrypted image quality is preserved by the peak signal-to-noise ratio(PSNR)such that consumers can generate precise medical reports from IoHT devices at the application ***,a lightweight encryption step is implemented in the fog to improve energy efficiency and reduce additional computations at the cloud *** results indicate that the TSO-Simon model achieved a high PSNR of 61.37 dB and a pixel change rate of 95.31.

The vietnamese agricultural sector has experienced a dramatic structural change based on increased specialization in rice ***,small-scale rice-farmers have continued to grow multiple crops,especially in less developed *** the literature advocates crop diversification for reasons of both economic and ecological sustainability,there lacks empirical evidence as to whether crop diversification brings efficiency and productivity gains to small *** present study is the first applications of the input-oriented stochastic distance function approach in estimating scale and scope economies using data of multi-crop farming households in *** find strong evidence of product-specific economies of *** economies are also present for rice,vegetable,and other annual crop *** suggests that crop diversification enhances efficiency and ***,there still exists significant technical inefficiency in crop production,indicating opportunities to expand farm output at the existing level of inputs and *** specifically,our empirical results indicate that it is desirable to expand vegetable and other annual crop production in mountainous areas while rice cultivation can be further expanded in delta and coastal regions.

Background:Chinese Danggui(Angelica sinensis)and Japanese Danggui(Angelica acutiloba)are evaluated as the same in using and critical of quality control in vietnamese *** vietnam,Japanese Danggui were acclimatized and cultivated in several regions in recent *** the huge climatic difference between vietnam and Japan,Japanese Danggui grows very well in ***,there are no studies to assess the overall quality of this medicinal *** and Objectives:The aim of this study is to develop a method to identify and assay simultaneously 5 component compounds of these crude herbs:chlorogenic acid,ferulic acid,scopoletin,xanthotoxin and ligustilide by high-performance liquid chromatography with photodiode array detector(HPLC-PDA).Materials and Methods:The procedure was optimized by using column Phenomenex Gemini 5μm PR C18,15 x 4,6 mm with the detection wavelength set at 321 nm for detector PDA and mobile phase was composed of(A)ACN and(B)aqueous solution 1%of acid acetic using a gradient *** were performed at 30°C with a flow rate of 1.0 mL/***:The developped method were fully validated for linearity,accuracy,recovery and met the validation requirements,proved practical applicability for the quality control of these herbs and related ***:The method was successfully applied to the quantification of five markers simultaneously from collected samples.

The current study presents the effects of seasonal variations in the depth-of-closure（D;） on shoreline evolution using a numerical,one-line shoreline *** erosion of the southern beach of the Nha Trang Coast,which is located in south central of vietnam,is selected as the study *** study area is immensely influenced by the tropical monsoon climate that has a clear pattern of large waves in the northeast monsoon season and calm waves in the non-monsoon *** analysis of the long-term measured shoreline variations from a video-camera system has found a strong correlation of these variations to the monsoon-dominated wave characteristics in the Nha Trang ***,a new approach for determining the depth-of-closure with consideration of the seasonal wave climate changes is purposed in the current *** implementing this new approach into a numerical,one-line shoreline model,it is found that the seasonal variations of D;appear to better describe the periodical shoreline evolution due to the monsoon-dominated wave characteristics for the Nha Trang *** important findings are considered to commonly apply for monsoon-dominated coastal regions in *** findings are useful information not only for scientific readers but also for the coastal authorities and managers in order to make better countermeasure plans against this kind of erosion mechanism in the future.
