Aquatic contamination of diclofenac(DCF),an emergent non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug(NSAIDs),can result in adverse effects to many ecosystems through ***,introducing effective remediation techniques to sequester the pharmaceutical wastes is highly fundamental to prevent their accumulation in the ***,adsorption has been presented as a green and efficient ***,we report the characterization and application of the novel magnetic nanocomposite(GO@CoFe2O4)derived from cobalt-based ferrite(CoFe2O4)and graphene oxide(GO)for DCF *** the optimization procedure,the response surface methodology(RSM)was adopted to investigate the impacts of DCF concentration(1.6-18.4 mg/L),DCF dosage(0.08-0.92 g/L),and solution pH(2.6-9.4)to find the optimum conditions for DCF removal,at 10.5 mg/L,0.74 g/L,and pH 4,*** the adsorption experiments,the kinetic,isotherm,thermodynamic,and intraparticle diffusion models were systematically ***,we have elucidated the role of functional groups on the surface of GO@CoFe2O4 in enhancing the adsorption of DCF *** good removal efficiency(up to 86.1%),high maximum adsorption capacity(32.4 mg/g),GO@CoFe2O4 can be a potential candidate to eliminate DCF drug from water.

Interactions between metal ions and the biopolymer in activated sludge： quantification and effects of system pH value

The quantification and effects of system pH value on the interactions between Pb（II） and the biopolymer in activated sludge were investigated. The biopolymer had two protein-like fluorescence peaks （Ex/Em = 280 nm1326-338 nm for peak A; Ex/Em = 220-230 nm/324-338 nm for peak B）. The fluorescence intensities of peak B were higher than those of peak A. The fluorophores of both peaks could be largely quenched by Pb（ll）, and the quencher dose for peak B was about half of that for peak A. The modified Stern-Volmer equation well depicted the fluorescence quenching titration. The quenching constant （Ka） values for both peaks decreased with rising system pH value, and then sharply decreased under alkaline conditions. It could be attributed to that the alkaline conditions caused the reduction of available Pb（II） due to the occurrence of Pb（OH）2 sediments. The Ka values of peak B were bigger than those for peak A at the same system pH values. Accordingly, the aromatic proteins （peak B） played a key role in the interactions between metal ions and the biopolymer.

Structural and luminescent properties of (Eu,Tb) PO_4·H_2O nanorods/nanowires prepared by microwave technique

Nanowires/nanorods of europium/terbium orthophosphate monohydrate with Eu^3＋ concentration of 6, 11, and 20 at.% were prepared by microwave synthesis method. The effects of Eu^3＋ doping concentration on structure, morphology and optical properties of nanomaterials were also investigated. The results showed that, for all studied Eu^3＋ doping concentrations, a single-crystalline phase of rhabdophane-type （Eu,Tb）PO4·H2O nanowires/nanorods was obtained by using microwave heating of an aqueous solution of terbium（Ⅲ） nitrate, europium（Ⅲ） nitrate and NH4H2PO4 with pH=2. The length and width of these nanowires/nanorods ranged from 150 to 300 nm and from 10 to 50 nm, respectively. The evidence of energy transfer from Tb^3＋ to Eu^3＋ due to the energy overlap between the donor Tb^3＋ and the acceptor Eu^3＋was observed obviously via a significant enhancement in the luminescent intensity of Eu^3＋. User profiles representing users’preferences and interests play an important role in many applications of personalized *** the rapid growth of social platforms,there is a critical need for efficient solutions to learn user profiles from the information they shared on social platforms so as to improve the quality of recommendation *** problem of user profile learning is significantly challenging due to difficulty in handling data from multiple sources,in different formats and often associated with *** this paper,we introduce an integrated approach that combines advanced Machine Learning techniques with evidential reasoning based on Dempster-Shafer theory of evidence for user profiling and *** developed methods for user profile learning and multi-criteria collaborative filtering are demonstrated with experimental results and analysis that show the effectiveness and practicality of the integrated approach.A proposal for extending multi-criteria recommendation systems by incorporating user profiles learned from different sources of data into the recommendation process so as to provide better recommendation capabilities is also highlighted.

This study represents a hybrid intelligence approach based on the differential evolution optimization and Least-Squares Support Vector Machines for shallow landslide prediction,named as *** LSSVM is used to establish a landslide prediction model whereas the DE is adopted to search the optimal tuning parameters of the LSSVM *** this research,a GIS database with 129 historical landslide records in the Quy Hop area(Central Vietnam)has been collected to establish the hybrid *** receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve and area under the curve(AUC)were used to assess the performance of the newly constructed *** results show that the proposed model has high performances with approximately 82%of AUCs on both training and validating *** model’s results were compared with those obtained from other methods,Support Vector Machines,Multilayer Perceptron Neural Networks,and J48 Decision *** result comparison demonstrates that the DE-LSSVMSLP deems best suited for the dataset at hand;therefore,the proposed model can be a promising tool for spatial prediction of rainfall-induced shallow landslides for the study area.

Formability improvement and blank shape definition for deep drawing of cylindrical cup with complex curve profile from SPCC sheets using FEM

In the current work, to predict and improve the formability of deep drawing process for steel plate cold rolled commercial grade （SPCC） sheets, three parameters including the blanking force, the die and punch comer radius were considered. The experimental plan according to Taguchi＇s orthogonal array was coupled with the finite element method （FEM） simulations. Firstly, the data from the test of stress-strain and forming limit curves were used as input into ABAQUS/Explicit finite element code to predict the failure occurrence of deep drawing process. The three parameters were then validated to establish their effects on the press formability. The optimum case found via simulation was finally confirmed through an experiment. In order to obtain the complex curve profile of cup shape after deep drawing, the anisotropic behavior of earring phenomenon was modeled and implemented into FEM. After such phenomenon was correctly predicted, an error metric compared with design curve was then measured.

In the textile industry,garment manufacturing contains four major pro-cesses containing cutting,sewing,ﬁnishing,and *** is the most crucial and intricate section,dealing with a large number of varied operations.A successful sewing process needs to be optimized regarding different factors,including time,sewing equipment,and skilled *** lineﬂow is combined by a set of operations with a particular *** utmost impor-tance of all garment industry is to arrange the workstations to minimize the num-ber of employees in order to produce at the best productive rate with the most reasonable cost,shortest time,and satisfying *** most garment factories,the production lines are balanced using the empirical judgment of the line *** the whole process the data of production time at each step,labor pro-ductivity,proper choices of equipment were always needed to calculate line efﬁ*** far as the issue is concerned,there has not been an academically sewing process analyzing software providing adequate data of sewing motions and sewing time as the credible input for the line balancing *** this goal,this paper presents the results of research on optimizing academically self-built software to analyze the sewing process of knitted products applied to industrial production using Java programming language on Google *** results achieved by the software are not only to analyze sewing products and the technological sewing process,calculate the sewing time on the machine but also analyze the sewing activities of workers into manipulations,movements,and motions to calculate the preparation time for two typical knitted products,namely,Polo-Shirt and T-Shirt with the case studies at General Textile Garment Joint Stock Company Hanoi and Star Fashion Company Limited.

A combination of damage locating vector method （DLV） and differential evolution algorithm （DE） for structural damage assessment

In this study, a two-stage method is presented for identifying multiple damage scenarios. In the first stage, the damage locating vector （DLV） method using normalized cumulative energy （nce） is employed for damage localization in structures. In the second stage, the differential evolution algorithm （DE） is used for damage severity of the structures. In addition, in the second stage, a modification of an available objective function is made for handing the issue of symmetric structures. To verify the effectiveness of the present technique, numerical examples of a 72-bar space truss and a one-span steel portal frame are considered. In addition, the effect of noise on the performance of the identification results is also investigated. The numerical results show that the proposed combination gives good assessment of damage location and extent for multiple structural damage cases.

Production of asiaticoside from centella(Centella asiatica ***)cells in bioreactor

Objective:To investigate the effects of some culture conditions on production of asialicoside from centella(Centella asiatica ***)cells cultured in 5-L ***:The centell cell suspension culture was conducted in 5-L bioreactor to investigate the growth and asiaticoside accumulation under various *** content was determined by HPLC ***:The results showed that the cell growth and asiaticoside accumulation peaked after 24d of culture at an agitation speed of 150 r/min and aeration rate of 2.5 L/*** cell biomass reached a maximum value of 302.45 g fresh weight(31.43 g dry weight)and growth index of 3.03with inoculum size of 100 ***,asiaticoside content was the highest(60.08 mg/g dry weight)when culture was initiated with an inoculum size of 50 ***:The present study found the suitable conditions for growth of centella cells and their asiaticoside production in bioreactor.
