High burden of hepatocellular carcinoma and viral hepatitis in Southern and Central Vietnam:Experience of a large tertiary referral center,2010 to 2016

AIM To examine the largest tertiary referral center in southern and central Vietnam from 2010 to 2016, evaluating epidemiological trends of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) and viral hepatitis B-C in this resource-limited *** We extracted data of patients receiving care from Cho Ray Hospital(Ho Chi Minh City), the largest oncology referral center in southern and central Vietnam, from 2010 to 2016. We collected information on patient age, gender, geographic distribution, and disease characteristics including disease stage, tumor biomarker levels [serum alpha-fetoprotein(AFP), AFP-L3 isoform percentage, and prothrombin induced by induced by vitamin K absence-Ⅱ], and serological testing for hepatitis B virus(HBV) and hepatitis C virus(HCV) *** Data from 24091 HCC patients were extracted, with sample demographics comprising mostly male(81.8%) and older age(however with 8.5% younger than 40 years old). This patient sample included a geographic catchment population of 56 million people(60% of the country's total population of 92.7 million), derived from 38 provinces and municipalities in Vietnam. Chronic HBV infection was found in 62.3% of cases, and chronic HCV infection in 26.0%. HBV and HCV co-infection was seen in 2.7%. Cirrhosis was found in an estimated 30% to 40% of cases. nine percent of patients were not found to have chronic viral hepatitis. Twenty three point two percent of the patients had a normal AFP level. A total of 2199 patients were tested with AFP-L3 and PIVKA Ⅱ over two years, with 57.7% having elevated AFP-L3%, and 88.5% with elevated PIVKA Ⅱ levels. Over this 7-year period, the incidence of HCC increased, with a large proportion of cases(overall 40.8%) presenting initially an advanced stage, not amendable to surgical or locoregional *** HCC contributes significant health care burden in southern and central Vietnam, with increasing case volume over this seven-year period. Examination of n-T_(9) conditions required by n=50,82,126 waiting points in r-process

We examined the conditions of neutron density(n) and temperature(T9) required for the n = 50, 82,and 126 isotopes to be waiting points(WP) in the r-process. The nuclear mass based on experimental data presented in the AME2020 database(AME and AME ± Δ) and that predicted using FRDM,WS4, DZ10, and KTUY models were employed in our estimations. We found that the conditions required by the n = 50 WP significantly overlap with those required by the n = 82 ones, except for the WS4 model. In addition, the upper(or lower) bounds of the n-T9 conditions based on the models are different from each other due to the deviations in the two-neutron separation *** standard deviations in the nuclear mass of 108 isotopes in the three n = 50, 82, and 126 groups are about rms = 0.192 and 0.434 Me V for the pairs of KTUY-AME and WS4-KTUY models,respectively. We found that these mass uncertainties result in a large discrepancy in the nn-T_(9) conditions, leading to significant differences in the conditions for simultaneously appearing all the three peaks in the r-process abundance. The newly updated FRDM and WS4 calculations can give the overall conditions for the appearance of all the peaks but vice versa for their old versions in a previous study. The change in the final r-process isotopic abundance due to the mass uncertainty is from a few factors to three orders of magnitude. Therefore, accurate nuclear masses of the r-process key nuclei, especially for 76 Fe,81Cu,127Rh,132Cd,192Dy, and 197Tm, are highly recommended to be measured in radioactive-ion beam facilities for a better understanding of the r-process evolution.

Sodium ion batteries (SIBs) are alternatives to lithium ion batteries (LIBs), and offer some significant benefits such as cost reduction and a lower environmental impact;however, to compete with LIBs, further research is required to improve the performance of SIBs. In this study, an orthorhombic na super ionic conductor structural Fe_(2)(MoO_(4))_(3) nanosheet with amorphous-crystalline core-shell alignment was synthesized using a facile low-temperature water-vapor-assisted solid-state reaction and applied as a cathode material for SIBs. The obtained material has a well-defined three-dimensional stacking structure, and exhibits a high specific capacity of 87.8 mAh·g^(−1) at a current density of 1 C = 91 mA·g^(−1) after 1,000 cycles, which is due to the considerable contribution of extra surface-related reaction such as the pseudo-capacitive process. This material shows significantly improved cycling and rated behavior as well as enhanced performance under high- and low-temperature conditions, as compared to the same materials prepared by the conventional high-temperature solid-state reaction. This enhancement is explained by the unique morphology in combination with the improved kinetics of the electrochemical reaction due to its lower charge transfer resistance and higher sodium ion conductivity.

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of He-Ne laser in combination with topical clindamycin in the treatment of AV at 108 Military Central Hospital from Oct 2015 to Aug 2016. Subjects and Methods: 61 patients with AV were divided into 2 groups: Group 1: 31 patients were treated with He-Ne laser in combination with topical Clindamycin, Group 2: 30 patients were only treated with topical clindamycin. Laser HE-NE was applied 2 times/week n>for 6 weeks. Result: After 3 months of treatment Group 1: very good—51n>n>.6%, good—48.4%. Group 2: very good—30%, good—50% and moderate—20%. Conclusion: n>The combination of He-Ne laser with topical clindamycin shows more rapid clinical improvement compared to topical clindamycin alone in the treatment of mild and moderate AV.

Fabrication of zinc-based coordination polymer nano-cubes and post-modification through copper decoration

Coordination polymer particles (CPPs) with a high degree of porosity and multi-functional reaction sites are promising for diverse applications. The integration of open sites favorable for the post-modification of CPPs presents a unique opportunity for the rational design of inorganic materials with target-oriented functions. Herein, we report a shape-controllable synthetic protocol for zinc-based coordination polymer nanocubes (Zn-CPns). In the synthesis, 2,6-bis[(4-carboxyanilino)carbonyl] pyridine ([n3]) ligand is employed as an efficient shape-directing modulator to control the size and shape of Zn-CPns. More importantly, the [n3] ligand provides metal binding sites suitable for the decoration of other functional metals such as copper ions. The copper-modified Zn-CPns (Cu_Zn-CPns) show good activities in a heterogeneous catalytic reaction.

ng>Objectives:ng> To study the change of CD16 + 56 in zona. ng>Materials and Methods:ng> 62 zona patients admitted at Inpatient Department of Dermatology, Venereology Allergy, 108 Military Central Hospital, and 30 healthy volunteers who were matched for age and sex participated in this study. Prospective, cross-sectional study with controls was conducted. We measured the number of CD16 + CD56 by flow cytometry using FACS Callibur. ng>Results:ng> The mean level of CD16 + 56 in zona patients was 253 ± 200 (106 cells/l), which was lower than that of control group but then increased after treatment. The change of CD16 + 56 did not correlate with patients’ age. Patients who were in severe condition or had affected size from 3% or more had a lower number of CD16 + 56 than control group. ng>Conclusion:ng> The number of CD16 + 56 in zona patients were lower than that of healthy people.

Investigation of Punch Resistance of the Allomyrira dichtoloma Beetle Forewing

In this study, the punch resistance of the beetle forewing was investigated to address the ability of the forewing against the external force. The punch resistance of the forewing was measured for different sizes and sexes of beetles using a conventional testing method in conjunction with the Digital Image Correlation （DIC） technique. The results showed that the maximum fracture load was measured around 23 n for the female beetle and around 20.2 n for the male beetle in the front-side punch test. Moreover, the fracture load in the front-side punch test was higher than that in the back-side punch test for both male and female beetles. This means that the beetle forewing plays a protection role against external loads. Furthermore, the puncture energy in the front-side punch test for the female beetle （6.91 m J） was a little higher than that for the male beetle （5.27 mJ）. In addition, the DIC results revealed that the first crack occurred along the trachea line and the second crack then appeared in the direction that was perpendicular to the direction of the first crack. This study provides a com- prehensive understanding of the mechanical protection properties of the beetle forewing and offers a good lesson for studying lightweight bio-inspired composite material.

Constructing Collective Signature Schemes Using Problem of Finding Roots Modulo

Digital signature schemes are often built based on the difficulty of the discrete logarithm problems,of the problem of factor analysis,of the problem of finding the roots modulo of large primes or a combination of the difficult problems mentioned *** this paper,we use the new difficult problem,which is to find the wth root in the finite ground field GF(p)to build representative collective signature schemes,but the chosen modulo p has a special structure distinct p=nt_(0)t_(1)t_(2)+1,where n is an even number and t_(0),t_(1),t_(2) are prime numbers of equal magnitude,about 80 *** characteristics of the proposed scheme are:i)The private key of each signer consists of 2 components(K_(1),K_(2)),randomly selected,but the public key has only one component(Y)calculated by the formula Y=K_(w)^(1)_(1) K^(w)_(2)^(2);w_(1)=t_(0)t_(1) and w_(2)=t_(0)t_(2);and ii)The generated signature consists of a set of 3 components(e,S_(1),S_(2)).We use the technique of hiding the signer’s public key Y,which is the coefficientλgenerated by the group nanager,in the process of forming the group signature and representative collective signature to enhance the privacy of all members of the signing collective.

new Collective Signatures Based on the Elliptic Curve Discrete Logarithm Problem

There have been many digital signature schemes were developed based on the discrete logarithm problem on a finite *** this study,we use the elliptic curve discrete logarithm problem to build new collective signature *** cryptosystem on elliptic curve allows to generate digital signatures with the same level of security as other cryptosystems but with smaller *** extend practical applicability and enhance the security level of the group signature protocols,we propose two new types of collective digital signature schemes based on the discrete logarithm problem on the elliptic curve:i)the collective digital signature scheme shared by several signing groups and ii)the collective digital signature scheme shared by several signing groups and several individual *** two new types of collective signatures have combined the advantages of group digital signatures and collective digital *** signatures have a fixed size and do not depend on the number of members participating in the creation of the final collective *** of the advantages of the proposed collective signature protocols is that they can be deployed on top of the available public key infrastructures.
