Although Gen.ral Relativity is the classic example of a physical theory based on.differen.ial geometry, the momen.um ten.or is the on.y part of the field equation.that is n.t derived from or in.erpreted with differen.ial geometry. This work exten.s Gen.ral Relativity an. Ein.tein.Cartan.theory by augmen.in. the Poin.aré group with projective (special) con.ormal tran.formation., which are tran.lation. at con.ormal in.in.ty. Momen.um becomes a part of the differen.ial geometry of spacetime. The Lie algebra of these tran.formation. is represen.ed by vectorfields on.an.associated Min.owski fiber space. Variation.of projective con.ormal scalar curvature gen.rates a 2-in.ex ten.or that serves as lin.ar momen.um in.the field equation. of Gen.ral Relativity. The computation.yields a con.tructive realization.of Mach’s prin.iple: local in.rtia is determin.d by local motion.relative to mass at con.ormal in.in.ty in.each fiber. Sugarcan. borer, Diatraea saccharalis （E）, is a major target of tran.gen.c maize expressin. Bacillus thurin.ien.is （Bt） protein. in.South America an. the US mid- south region. Resistan.e developmen. in.target pest population. is a major threat to the sustain.ble use of Bt crops. In.our field trials in.2009, a sign.fican. n.mber of live borers an. plan. in.ury fi＇om D. saccharalis were observed in.an.experimen.al SmartStaxTM maize lin.. The objective of this study was to assess the relative susceptibility of two field popula- tion. ofD. saccharalis collected from n.n.Bt an. Bt maize plan.s con.ain.n. SmartStaxTM traits to five in.ividual Cry protein.. The five Bt protein. in.luded two protein. （Cry 1A. 105 an. Cry2Ab2） that were expressed in.SmartStaxTM maize plan.s an. three other common.Bt protein. （Cry 1Aa, Cry 1Ab an. Cry l Ac） that were n.t produced in.SmartStaxTM. Larval mortality an. growth in.ibition.on.Bt diet of the fourth gen.ration.after field collection. were evaluated 7 days after release of n.on.tes on.the diet surface. We assessed boldn.ss by examin.n. how quickly spidersresumed n.rmal movemen. after a simulated predator attack.
