Lignite and s.b-bituminous.coals.from wes.ern U.s. contain high amounts.of mois.ure (s.b-bituminous. 15%-30%, lignites. 25%-40%). German and Aus.ralian lignites.(brown coals. have even higher mois.ure content, 50% and 60%, res.ectively. The high mois.ure content caus.s.a reduction in plant performance and higher emis.ions. compared to the bituminous.(hard) coals. Des.ite their high-mois.ure content, lignite and s.b-bituminous.coals.from the wes.ern U.s. and worldwide are attractive due to their abundance, low cos., low NOx and s.x emis.ions. and high reactivity. A novel low-temperature coal drying proces. employing a fluidized bed dryer and was.e heat was.developed in the U.s. by a team led by GRE (Great River Energy). Demons.ration of the technology was.conducted with the U.s. Department of Energy and GRE funding at Coal Creek s.ation Unit 1. Following the s.cces.ful demons.ration, the low-temperature coal drying technology was.commercialized by GRE under the trade name DryFiningTM fuel enhancement proces. and implemented at both units.at Coal Creek s.ation. The coal drying s.s.em at Coal Creek has.been in a continuous.commercial operation s.nce December 2009. By implementing DryFining at Coal Creek, GRE avoided $366 million in capital expenditures. which would otherwis. be needed to comply with emis.ion regulations. Four years.of operating experience is.des.ribed in this.paper.

This.work is.devoted to the problem of planning of freight railway trans.ortation. We define a s.ecial conflict graph on the bas.s.of a s.t of acceptable train routes. The inves.igation aims.to s.lve the clas.ical combinatorial optimization problem in relation to the maximum independent s.t of vertices.in undirected *** level repres.ntation of the graph and its.tree are introduced. With us. of thes. cons.ructions. the lower and upper bounds.for the number of vertices.in the maximum independent s.t are obtained.

Hallux valgus.is.a complex deformity of the forefoot. It is.the res.lt of multiple effects.of endogenous.and exogenous.etiological factors.with different degrees.of influence. The degree of hallux valgus.deformity was.as.es.ed by radiological values.of hallux valgus.(HVA) and intermetatars.l (IMA) angle. Thus. each hallux valgus.deformity corres.onds.to a pair (HVA, IMA) of hallux valgus.angle (HVA) and intermetatars.l angle (IMA) values.in the plane of the deformity. The intens.ty of the point pos.tion vector s.(HVA, IMA) in the deformation plane determined by the relation repres.nts.the abs.lute (conjugate) value of the power deformities. The goal of the article is.to explain the advantage of the definition of the degree of hallux valgus.deformity us.ng its.abs.lute (conjugate) value, and then to s.ow that the degree of deformity defined in this.way enables.a better clas.ification of deformities.for all values.of the HVA and IMA angles. Furthermore, in this.article, applying the definition of conjugate deformity, analytical expres.ions.were cons.ructed for the as.es.ment of the average value of deformity correction after operative treatment, as.well as.the error as.es.ment of deformity correction after operative treatment. All obtained res.lts.were checked on a s.mple of 396 operatively treated feet.

Objective: To s.udy epis.dic and s.mantic memory for faces.and other non-verbal information in s.mantic dementia (s.). Background: s.mantic memory impaired in the rare diagnos.s.of s. by definition, including knowledge about well- known pers.ns.and their appearance. Epis.dic memory is.held to be better pres.rved. Methods. Two computerized face recognition tes.s.were adminis.ered, one meas.ring epis.dic memory (Male Faces. and one s.mantic memory (Political Faces. in addition to a comprehens.ve tes. battery. A computeris.d tes. of non-verbal s.mantic memory for national s.mbols.(Euro Flags. was.als. adminis.ered druring the retention interval of the Male Faces.tes.. Res.lts. The s. participants.were s.verely impaired in the epis.dic face recognition tes.. In contras., their performance was.in the normal range in Euro Flags.and Political Faces. bas.d on knowledge of national political figures. Conclus.on: The res.lts.are dis.us.ed in terms.of pres.rved dynamic memory and s.verely impaired memory for s.atic facial information in s.mantic dementia. Res.arch propos.ls.regarding further s.udies.of this.paradoxical pros.pagnos.a in s.mantic dementia are pres.nted in order to clarify is.ues.regarding s.atic vers.s.dynamic as.ects.of face memory.
