In Patagonia, Argentina, at the northern border of the Patagonian Cenozoic mafic plateau lava fields, newly discovered diatremes stand about I00 m above the sur- rounding plain. These diatremes document phreato- magmatic episodes associated with the formation of the volcanic fields. The identified pyroclastic and intrusive rocks are exposed lower diatremes of former phreato- magmatic volcanoes and their feeding dyke systems. Maars are small-volume volcanoes that are the second most common volcanic landforms on Earth. Maar volcanoes have characteristically wide and deep craters, commonly referred to as‘bole-in-the-ground＇ features （see Figure 1）. Magma and water explosive interaction is considered to be the main driving force that causes their creation. The sudden formation of steam during magma and water interaction produces a steam explosion that disrupts the country rocks and creates a mass deficit in and around the explosion centre,which leads to the formation of a collapse crater. Because the formation of maars is driven by the interaction of ground water and uprising melt, after the collapse of the crater, ground water inflow quickly fills the voleanic depression and creates a deep crater lake. Maar lakes are steep sided, often surrounded by unstable steep tephra cliffs that can erode into the lake quickly.

As air descends the intake shaft, its infrastructure, lining and the strata will emit heat during the night when the intake air is cool and, on the contrary, will absorb heat during the day when the temperature of the air becomes greater than that of the strata. This cyclic phenomenon, also known as the "thermal damping effect" will continue throughout the year reducing the effect of surface air temperature variation. The objective of this paper is to quantify the thermal damping effect in vertical underground airways. A nonlinear autoregressive time series with external input(NARX) algorithm was used as a novel method to predict the dry-bulb temperature(Td) at the bottom of intake shafts as a function of surface air temperature. Analyses demonstrated that the artificial neural network(ANN) model could accurately predict the temperature at the bottom of a shaft. Furthermore, an attempt was made to quantify typical "damping coefficient" for both production and ventilation shafts through simple linear regression models. Comparisons between the collected climatic data and the regression-based predictions show that a simple linear regression model provides an acceptable accuracy when predicting the Tdat the bottom of intake shafts.

Background： Dietary saturated（SFAs） and polyunsaturated（PUFAs） fatty acids can highly affect reproductive functions by providing additional energy, modulating the biochemical properties of tissues, and hormone secretions. In precocial mammals such as domestic guinea pigs the offspring is born highly developed. Gestation might be the most critical reproductive period in this species and dietary fatty acids may profoundly influence the gestational effort. We therefore determined the hormonal status at conception, the reproductive success, and body mass changes during gestation in guinea pigs maintained on diets high in PUFAs or SFAs, or a control ***： The diets significantly affected the females＇ plasma fatty acid status at conception, while cortisol and estrogen levels did not differ among groups. SFA females exhibited a significantly lower body mass and litter size, while the individual birth mass of pups did not differ among groups and a general higher pup mortality rate in larger litters was diminished by PUFAs and SFAs. The gestational effort, determined by a mother＇s body mass gain during gestation, increased with total litter mass, whereas this increase was lowest in SFA and highest in PUFA individuals. The mother＇s body mass after parturition did not differ among groups and was positively affected by the total litter mass in PUFA ***： While SFAs reduce the litter size, but also the gestational effort as a consequence, PUFA supplementation may contribute to an adjustment of energy accumulations to the total litter mass, which may both favor a mother＇s body condition at parturition and perhaps increase the offspring survival at birth.

AIM： To analyze the correlations between ocular biomechanical and biometric data of the eye,measured by Scheimpflug-based devices on healthy ***： Three consecutive measurements were carried out using the corneal visualization Scheimpflug technology（Cor Vis ST） device on healthy eyes and the 10 device-specific parameters were *** HR-derived parameters（corneal curvature radii on the anterior and posterior surfaces;apical pachymetry;corneal volume;corneal aberration data;depth,volume and angle of the anterior chamber） and axial length（AL） from IOLMaster were correlated with the 10 specific CorV is ST ***： Measurements were conducted in 43 eyes of 43 volunteers（age 61.24±15.72y）.The 10 specific Cor Vis ST data showed significant relationships with corneal curvature radii both on the anterior and posterior surface,pachymetric data,root mean square（RMS） data of lower-order aberrations,and posterior RMS of higher-order aberrations and spherical aberration of the posterior *** chamber depth showed a significant relationship,but there were no significant correlations between corneal volume,anterior chamber volume,mean chamber angle or AL and the 10 specific CorV is ST ***： Cor Vis ST-generated parameters are influenced by corneal curvature radii,some corneal RMS data,but corneal volume,anterior chamber volume,chamber angle and AL have no correlation with the biomechan-ical *** parameters measured by CorV is ST seem to refer mostly to corneal properties of the eye.

The purpose of this paper is to present a simple way to approximate the dependence of the global mean air temperature at Earth＇s surface on atmospheric concentration of carbon dioxide. Current discussions include energy aspects of the greenhouse effect and the global warming. The starting point for the research are laws of thermodynamics, energy equilibrium and absorption and emission property of the atmosphere. According to the calculations, the natural and the anthropogenic changes effect the atmosphere. By the year 2100 the CO2 concentration will be doubled in comparison with the value of the pre-industrial ages. The doubled CO2 concentration will mean a temperature change about 1 ℃-1.5 ℃.
