Ni-Cu-Zn ferrites with general form.la Ni0.5Zn0.5-x/2Cux/2Fe2O4 (with x = 0.3, 0.4, 0.5 and 0.6) have been synthesized using oxalate precursor m.thod with different precursor reaction tem.eratures in the range 10℃ to 70℃. The Curie tem.eratures obtained using AC susceptibility m.asurem.nts are found to be in the range 150℃ to 350℃, the m.asurem.nts also show single dom.in structure for all the sam.les except few com.ositions obtained at 35℃ precursor reaction tem.erature, show a m.lti-dom.in behaviour. The saturation m.gnetization is found to be in the range 20 to 51 em./gm. while the m.gnetic m.m.nt is found to be in the range 0.63 to 1.5 μB. The hysteresis losses were found to be m.xim.m.for the sam.les obtained at precursor reaction tem.erature of 35℃. The grain size is found to be in the range 0.4 to 2.0 μm.
