An attempt has been made to study the uncoupled thermoelastic response oI tr^lc~ cylmaer of length 2h in which heat sources are generated according to the linear function of the temperature, with boundary conditions of the radiation type. This approach is based upon integral transform techniques, to find out the thermoelastic solution. The results are obtained in terms of Bessel functions in the form of infinite series.

In India, festivals are celebrated with lot of enthusiasm and Diwali is the major festival of light. In this festival, houses are illuminated by lights and sky is illuminated by fireworks. These fireworks though create lot of amusement but also pollute the atmosphere in terms of air pollution. The continuous air pollution monitoring was undertaken during Diwali festival (2014) at residential site NEERI, Nagpur. Air quality parameters were compared with CPCB standard. On Diwali day, PM10 and PM2.5 concentration achieve its highest value of 900 μg/m3 and 950 respectively μg/m3. This high concentration is maintained in atmosphere for two days of this festival in atmosphere which is approximately 8 - 9 times more than that regulatory standard. These particles carry all the components of the cracker including heavy metals, alkali metals, alkaline earth and change the atmosphere with positive and negative ions apart from impaction of sulfur and other acid gases to the atmosphere.

Over the last few years,there is huge scientific attention towards the research related to Extracellular Vesicles(EVs),because of their unique property of inter cellular communications and effective biological significance in diagnosis and therapy[1].Extracellular Vesicles are lipid bilayer membrane bound biological entity,which contains different bioactive compounds(cargoes)such as microRNAs(miRNAs),mRNAs,proteins,and *** on their origin and size,EVs have been categorized into three different types(a)Exosomes(40 nm-150 nm)are smallest EVs,which are synthesized by endocytic pathways in the cells and secreted in extracellular space through exocytosis process,(b)Microvesicles are secreted from direct budding off plasma membranes and their size varying from 50 nm to 1000 nm and,(c)Apoptotic bodies are formed during apoptotic cell death process and respectively larger in size>1000 nm[1-3].EVs have been identified using different markers,that includes tetraspanins proteins(CD9,CD63,CD81,and CD83),endosomal sorting complexes required for transport(TSG101,Alix),heat shock proteins(Hsp60,Hsp70,Hsp90),and Rab proteins(RAB27a/b)[1].

Healthcare institutions are vulnerable to disruptionfrom events such as earthquakes, fires, and floods, andthe damage incurred can endanger the lives of patientsin the hospital.[1] In this type of scenario hospital staffhave primary responsibility for the hospitalized patients＇safety, since patients are neither fit to respond to sucha disaster, nor do they know how to respond.[2,3] Thesituation becomes more difficult and challenging if thedisaster occurs in critical care areas such as intensivecare units （ICUs） and operating rooms.

Circulatory and hepatic failure at admission predicts mortality of severe scrub typhus patients: A prospective cohort study

Objective:To study the spectrum and outcome of severe scrub typhus in adult patients and to predict the hospital mortality by organ failure on ***:This was a prospective observational cohort study conducted between July 2017 and October 2020 at the medical emergency centre of PGIMER,Chandigarh,*** hundred and twenty-six patients aged≥13 years were diagnosed with scrub *** disease was defined as the presence of organ failure based on the Sequential Organ Failure Assessment(SOFA)score on ***:About two-thirds of the patients were from geographic regions outside the endemic sub-Himalayan ***(99.21%)and dyspnea(79.36%)were the most frequent *** failure(81.75%)was the most common organ failure,followed by hepatic(52.38%),coagulative(47.62%),circulatory(33.33%),renal(21.43%),and cerebral dysfunction(13.49%).The median(Q1,Q3)SOFA score was 8(6,9),and 48.41%of the patients had a quick-SOFA score≥*** supports with invasive ventilation(40.48%),vasopressors(36.51%),and renal replacement therapy(7.14%)were frequently *** in-hospital mortality was 11.90% and was independently predicted by circulatory and hepatic failures on multivariate logistic regression(OR 11.12,95%CI 1.73-71.31 and OR 8.49,95%CI 1.18-61.41,respectively).Conclusions:Most patients had pulmonary dysfunction;circulatory or hepatic failure on admission strongly predicts death.
