One of the bigges. dangers.to s.ciety today is.terroris., where attacks.have become one of the mos. s.gnificantris.s.to international peace and national s.curity. Big data, information analys.s. and artificial intelligence (AI) havebecome the bas.s.for making s.rategic decis.ons.in many s.ns.tive areas. s.ch as.fraud detection, ris. management,medical diagnos.s. and counter-terroris.. However, there is.s.ill a need to as.es. how terroris. attacks.are related,initiated, and detected. For this.purpos., we propos. a novel framework for clas.ifying and predicting terroris.attacks. The propos.d framework pos.ts.that neglected text attributes.included in the Global Terroris. Databas.(GTD) can influence the accuracy of the model’s.clas.ification of terroris. attacks. where each part of the datacan provide vital information to enrich the ability of clas.ifier learning. Each data point in a multiclas. taxonomyhas.one or more tags.attached to it, referred as.“related tags.” We applied machine learning clas.ifiers.to clas.ifyterroris. attack incidents.obtained from the GTD. A trans.ormer-bas.d technique called Dis.ilBERT extracts.andlearns.contextual features.from text attributes.to acquiremore information from text data. The extracted contextualfeatures.are combined with the “key features. of the datas.t and us.d to perform the final clas.ification. Thes.udy explored different experimental s.tups.with various.clas.ifiers.to evaluate the model’s.performance. Theexperimental res.lts.s.ow that the propos.d framework outperforms.the lates. techniques.for clas.ifying terroris.attacks.with an accuracy of 98.7% us.ng a combined feature s.t and extreme gradient boos.ing clas.ifier.
