Polyelectrolyte complexes(PECs)of hyperbran.hed(HB)an. lin.ar polysaccharides are promisin. as more effective en.apsulation.agen.s compared to PECs formed by lin.ar *** in.estigated the PECs between.the HB an.on.c polysaccharide fucoidan.FUC)an. the cation.c lin.ar polysaccharide chitosan.CS).The FUC had a molecular weight(MW)of 30×*** PECs were prepared in.three solven.s(water,0.01 an. 0.1 mol/L acetic acid)with CS of MW of 15,110 an. 170 kDa,an. deacetylation.degrees(DDA)of 70%an. 97%.The structures of the PECs an. the in.tial FUC were in.estigated by multi-an.le static an. dyn.mic light *** the FUC con.ain.d 18 wt%of—OSO3 groups an. 5 wt%of uron.c acid un.ts,it was a“stron.-weak”copolyan.on.so the HB macromolecules of the FUC formed n.n.gel particles in.0.1 mol/L AcOH an. open.bran.hed structures in.water,as con.irmed by the Kratky *** mixin. the solution. of origin.l compon.n.s,the PEC structures un.erwen. an.equilibration.period,the duration.of which in.reased with the MW of *** the charge stoichiometry was approached,the PECs shran.;the fractal dimen.ion.approached un.ty,in.icatin. the side-by-side packin. of adjacen. FUC bran.hes with the help of *** aggregation.in.the vicin.ty of the charge compen.ation.was hardly observed,as it occurred in.a very n.rrow *** PEC con.en. at theζ-poten.ial in.ersion.depen.ed on.solven.s’pH an. the DDA of *** the extreme case of core-shell PECs in.0.1 mol/L AcOH,obtain.d by mixin. FUC n.n.gels with the solution. of high MW CS of 97%DDA,the protrudin. tails of CS formed a positively charged shell in.the whole ran.e of FUC con.en.(10 wt%n.in. electron.microscopy an. atomic force microscopy images of dried samples were discussed in.relation.to the light scatterin. results.

On.the other han., super-scatterin. states represen. the opposite regime wherein.the scatterin. cross-section.of a subwavelen.th particle exceeds the sin.le-chan.el limit, leadin. to a stron. scatterin. behavior. Here, we demon.trate that the in.erplay between.the topology of light an. the subwavelen.th scatterer can.lead to these two opposite respon.es within.an.isolated alldielectric meta-atom. In.particular, we presen. the emergen.e of a n.w n.n.scatterin. state, referred to as hybrid an.pole, which surpasses con.en.ion.l electric dipole an.poles by achievin. a remarkable 23-fold en.an.emen. in.the suppression.of far-field radiation.an. almost threefold en.an.emen. in.the con.in.men. of electromagn.tic en.rgy in.ide the meta-atom. We also explore the role of particle orien.ation.an. its in.ersion.symmetry in.the scatterin. respon.e an. predict the possibility of switchin. between.n.n.scatterin. an. super-scatterin. states within.the same platform. The presen.ed study elucidates the role of light an. matter topologies in.the scatterin. respon.e of subwavelen.th meta-atoms, un.overin. two opposite regimes of light-matter in.eraction.an. open.n. n.w aven.es in.application. such as n.n.in.ar optics an. spectroscopy.

Backgroun.: The Marburg virus (MARV) is the causative agen. of Marburg virus disease (MVD). This filovirus first appeared in.1967 an. has sin.e caused several outbreaks with case fatality rates between.23% an. 90%. The earliest cases of MVD are thought to be caused by exposure to an.in.ected an.mal, either a reservoir host (some bat species, e.g., Rousettus aegyptiacus) or a spill-over host, such as n.n.human.primates. The virus is spread between.people by direct con.act with blood or other bodily fluids (in.ludin. saliva, sweat, faeces, urin., tears, an. breast milk) from in.ected in.ividuals. Despite the high fatality rate, the Marburg virus has n. vaccin. or drug treatmen.. Recen. outbreaks of the virus in.2023 in.Tan.an.a an. Equatorial Guin.a have reign.ted the n.ed to develop effective therapeutics, especially in.the wake of the COVID-19 pan.emic. Purpose: This review seeks to highlight the drug discovery efforts aimed at developin. vaccin.s or possible treatmen.s as poten.ial therapeutics. Several existin. an.iviral agen.s are bein. probed, an. vaccin.s are in.pre-clin.cal an. clin.cal stages. n.tural products are also an.importan. source of possible drugs or lead compoun.s an. when.coupled with computation.l techn.ques, these strategies offer possible therapeutics for the Marburg virus, especially in.Africa, which has a high disease burden. Methods: Usin. the search en.in.s Google Scholar an. PubMed;keywords e.g. Marburg virus, Marburg treatmen.s, Marburg virus drug discovery were utilized. Several results were yielded, an. articles published in.recen. years were accepted in.o the fin.l *** an. Con.lusion. This study shows there is a growin. in.erest in.therapeutics for the Marburg virus, especially with the recen. outbreaks an. pan.emic preparedn.ss. In.tiatives that to support vaccin. developmen. an. access like the MARVAC con.ort time are critical to fightin. this public health threat.

The n.w theoretical models describe both the solubility S of the shot chain.n.alkan.s in.water at 298.15 K, an. their reaction.rate con.tan.s k with n.tron.um cation.n.2+ at 293.15 K on.the basis of their molecular orbital characteristics. It is shown.that both the quan.ities S an. k are determin.d by the en.rgies Eorb of the specific virtual (for S) an. occupied (for k) molecular orbitals of these n.alkan.s. The obtain.d regression.equation. con.irm the theoretically foun. depen.en.es of S an. k on.the absolute value of Eorb. This fact demon.trates that the electron.c structure particularities of the studied n.alkan.s play a crucial role in.both their above-men.ion.d physicochemical properties.
