Huntington＇s disease （HD） is an autosomal-dominant neurodegenerative disease characterized by the selec- tive loss of neurons in the striatum and cortex, leading to progressive motor dysfunction, cognitive decline and behavioral symptoms. HD is caused by a trinucleotide （CAG） repeat expansion in the gene encoding for huntingtin. Several studies have suggested that inflammation is an important feature of HD and it is already observed in the early stages of the disease. Recently, new molecules presenting anti-inflammatory and/or immunomodulatory have been investigated for HD. The objective of this review is to discuss the data obtained so far on the immune-based therapeutic strategies for HD.

Despite the growing body of work on molecular components required for regenerative repair,we still lack a deep understanding of the ability of some animal species to regenerate their appropriate complex anatomical structure following damage.A key question is how regenerating systems know when to stop growth and remodeling-what mechanisms implement recognition of correct morphology that signals a stop condition？in this work,we review two conceptual models of pattern regeneration that implement a kind of pattern *** the first one,all cells communicate with each other and keep the value of the total signal received from the other *** a part of the pattern is amputated,the signal distribution *** difference fromthe original signal distribution stimulates cell proliferation and leads to pattern regeneration,in effect implementing an error minimization process that uses signaling memory to achieve pattern *** the second model,we consider a more complex pattern organization with different cell *** tissue contains a central（coordinator）cell that controls the tissue and communicates with the other central *** of them keeps memory about the signals received from other central *** values of these signals depend on the mutual cell location,and the memory allows regeneration of the structure when it is *** purpose of these models is to suggest possible mechanisms of pattern regeneration operating on the basis of cell memory which are compatible with diverse molecular implementation mechanisms within specific organisms.

Objective: The morphology and functions of the proximal and distal large intestine are not the same. The incidence of colorectal cancer in these regions is also different, as tumors more often appear in the descending colon than in the ascending *** bowel disease and colorectal cancer can increase transepithelial permeability, which is a sign of reduced intestinal barrier function. However, there is not enough evidence to establish a connection between the difference in colorectal cancer incidence in the proximal and distal colon and intestinal permeability or the effects of carcinogenesis on the barrier properties in various areas of the colon. The aim of the study was to assess the permeability of different segments of the large intestine according to a developed mapping methodology in healthy rats and rats with 1,2-dimethylhydrazine(DmH)-induced colon ***: The short circuit current, the transepithelial electrical resistance and the paracellular permeability to fluorescein of large intestine wall of male Wistar rats were examined in the Ussing chambers. The optical density of the solution from the serosa side to assess the concentration of the diffused fluorescein from mucosa to serosa was analyzed by spectrophotometry. Aim： Hydrodynamics based transfection （HBT）, the injection of a large volume of naked plasmid DNA in a short time is a relatively simple, efficient and safe method for in vivo transfection of liver cells. Though used for quite some time, the mechanism of gene transfection has not yet been elucidated. mETHODS： A lucJferase encoding plasmid was injected using the hydrodynamics based procedure into normal and thioacetamide-induced fibrotic Sprague Dawley rats. Scanning and transmission electron microscopy images were taken. The consequence of a dual injection of Ringer solution and luciferase pDNA was followed. Halofuginone, an anti collagen type i inhibitor was used to reduce ECm load in fibrotic rats prior to the hydrodynamic injection. RESULTS： Large endothelial gaps formed as soon as 10＇ following hydrodynamic injection; these gradually returned to normal 10 d post injection. Hydrodynamic administration of Ringer 10 or 30 m prior to moderate injection of plasmid did not result in efficient transfection suggesting that endothelial gaps by themselves are not sufficient for gene expression. Gene transfection following hydrodynamic injection in thioacetamide induced fibrotic rats was diminished coinciding with the level of fibrosis. Halofuginone, a specific collagen type i inhibitor, alleviated this effect. CONCLUSiON： The hydrodynamic pressure formed following HBT results in the formation of large endothelial gaps. These gaps, though important in the transfer of DNA molecules from the blood to the space of Disse are not enough to provide the appropriate conditions for hepatocyte transfection. Hydrodynamics based injection is applicable in fibrotic rats provided that ECm load is reduced.

Application of enhanced oil recovery methods in Kazakhstan has been ongoing for decades alongside the continued discovery of new oil and gas fields in the Pre-Caspian *** objective of this review is to provide an overview of the hydrocarbon reserves and production,and the status of the petroleum industry in Kazakhstan,with a focus on the EOR methods and projects being applied to recover those reserves.A summary of the specific EOR methods in use was prepared,and existing enhanced recovery projects in Kazakhstan were reviewed and their successes and challenges were *** performance of these projects in the context of EOR performance indicators such as capillary number and mobility ratio,as well as operational and environmental issues,were *** for current and potential applications of EOR in Kazakhstan were also *** widespread application of thermal EOR methods,in use for decades in Kazakhstan’s older fields,was found to be successful,with very favorable impacts on mobility ratio from the addition of thermal energy to the *** EOR methods in Kazakhstan have had more limited success,with some significant challenges due to high concentration of hydrogen sulfide in the injected *** injection started in the late 1960s,achieving good results.A recent polymer injection pilot project has shown some promise,with a favorable impact on mobility ratio and oil production,although the project has not yet been expanded beyond two polymer *** results indicate the huge potential of existing and future EOR *** review is the first compilation of Kazakhstan’s existing oil and gas reserves,production,and EOR project performance,and should be seen as a guide to the existing applications of EOR methods in Kazakhstan.

Sarcoidosis and chronic hepatitis C:A case report

Several case reports deal with the relationship between hepatitis C virus （HCV） infection and pulmonary or he- patic sarcoidosis. most publications describe interferon m-induced sarcoidosis. However, HCV infection per se is also suggested to cause sarcoqdosis. The present case report describes a case of biopsy-verified lung and liver sarcoidosis and HCV infection, and the out- come of antiviral therapy. in march 2009, a 25-year-old man presented with moderately elevated liver enzymes without any clinical symptoms. The patient was posi- tive for HCV antibodies and HCV RNA of genotype lb. Four months later the patient became dyspnoic and pulmonary sarcoidosis was diagnosed by lung biopsy and radiography. A short course of corticosteroid treat- ment relieved symptoms. Three months later, liver biopsy showed noncaseating granulomas consisting of epithelioid histiocytes and giant cells with a small amount of peripheral lymphocyte infiltration, without any signs of fibrosis. Chronic HCV infection with co- existence of pulmonary and hepatic sarcoidosis was diagnosed. Antiviral therapy with peginterferon ~ and ribavirin at standard doses was started, which lasted 48 wk, and sustained viral response was achieved. A second liver biopsy showed disappearance of granulo- mas and chest radiography revealed normalization of mediastinal and perihilar glands. The hypothesis that HCV infection perse may have triggered systemic sar- coidosis was proposed. Successful treatment of HCV infection led to continuous remission of pulmonary and hepatic sarcoidosis. Further studies are required to un- derstand the relationship between systemic sarcoidosis and HCV infection.
