Histone acetylation/deacetylation is a dynamic process and plays an important role in gene regulation. Histone acetylation homeostasis is regulated by antagonist actions of histone acetyltransferases （HAT） and deacetylases （HDAC）. Plant genome encodes multiple HATs and HDACs. The Arabidopsis HAT gene AtGCNS/HAGlplays an essential role in many plant development processes, such as meristem function, cell differentiation, leaf and floral organogenesis, and responses to environmental conditions such as light and cold, indicating an important role of this HAT in the regulation of both long-term developmental switches and short-term inducible gene expression. AtGCN5 targets to a large number of promoters and is required for acetylation of several histone H3 lysine residues. Recruitment of AtGCN5 to target promoters is likely to be mediated by direct or indirect interaction with DNA-binding transcription factors and/or by interaction with acetylated histone lysine residues on the targets. Interplay between AtGCN5 and other HATand HDAC is demonstrated to control specific regulatory pathways. Analysis of the role of AtGCN5 in light-inducible gene expression suggests a function of AtGCN5 in preparing chromatin commitment for priming inducible gene activation in plants.

The P-T conditions of auriferous and barren quartz veins from Kopylovsky,Kavkaz and Krasnoye gold deposits in Proterozoic black shales of Bodaybo ore region are presented the first time in this *** inclusions trapped in auriferous quartz are aqueous Na±K-Mg chloride with salinity of 6 wt.%-8.8 wt.%*** temperatures vary from 260 to 350℃,and calculated trapping pressures are 1.2-1.6 *** fluids trapped in barren quartz have more complicated compositions with Na,K,Mg and Fe chlorides,salinity up to 13 wt.%NaCleqv,and homogenization temperatures ranging between 140 and 280℃.The volatiles in fluids are dominated by H2O,followed by CO2 with minor amounts of CH4 and *** suppose that auriferous and barren quartz veins have been formed due to the basic metamorphogenic fluid as evidenced by the close slat and gas fluid composition.

The flow velocity of gases in gobs directly influences the kinetics and intensity of gaseous components release during heating and cooling of *** assessment of fire hazard is performed on the basis of concentrations of particular gases in a mine *** concentrations differ in coal heating and cooling phase which was proven in the *** paper presented the results of the experimental study on temperature distribution in a simulated coal bed in heating(50–250°C)and cooling(250–35°C)phases as well as its correlation to variations in concentration of gases released in these phases and flow rates of gases flowing through the coal *** research was performed on twenty-two samples of bituminous coals acquired from various coal beds of Polish coal *** differences were observed between heating and cooling phases in terms of the concentrations of gases taken into account in calculations of self-combustion *** the heating phase temperature increase resulted in the decrease of concentrations ratios of ethane,ethylene,propane,propylene and acetylene,while in the cooling phase these ratios increased *** effect of air(in heating phase)and nitrogen(in cooling phase)flow rate on the self-ignition index CO/CO2 was also determined.

Objective:Chromosomal instability(CIN)is a hallmark of cancer characterized by cell-to-cell variability in the number or structure of chromosomes,frequently observed in cancer cell populations and is associated with poor prognosis,metastasis,and therapeutic *** cancer(BC)is characterized by unstable karyotypes and recent reports have indicated that CIN may influence the response of BC to chemotherapy ***,paradoxical associations between extreme CIN and improved outcome have been ***:This study aimed to 1)evaluate CIN levels and clonal heterogeneity(CH)in MCF7,ZR-751,MDA-MB468,BT474,and KPL4 BC cells treated with low doses of tamoxifen(TAM),docetaxel(DOC),doxorubicin(DOX),Herceptin(HT),and combined treatments(TAM/DOC,TAM/DOX,TAM/HT,HT/DOC,and HT/DOX)by using fluorescence in situ hybridization(FISH),and 2)examine the association with response to treatments by comparing FISH results with cell ***:Intermediate CIN was linked to drug sensitivity according to three characteristics:estrogen receptorα(eRα)and HeR2 status,pre-existing CIN level in cancer cells,and the CIN induced by the ***α+/HeR2-cells with intermediate CIN were sensitive to treatment with taxanes(DOC)and anthracyclines(DOX),while eRα-/HeR2-,eRα+/HeR2+,and eRα-/HeR2+cells with intermediate CIN were resistant to these ***:A greater understanding of CIN and CH in BC could assist in the optimization of existing therapeutic regimens and/or in supporting new strategies to improve cancer outcomes.

Receptor tyrosine kinases(RTKs)bearing oncogenic mutations in eGFR,ALK and ROS1 occur in a significant subset of lung *** kinase inhibitors(TKIs)targeting tumor cells dependent on these oncogenic RTKs yield tumor shrinkage,but also a variety of adverse *** toxicities,hematological deficiencies,nausea,vomiting,diarrhea,and headache are among the most common,with more acute and often fatal side effects such as liver failure and interstitial lung disease occurring less *** normal epithelia,RTKs regulate tissue *** example,eGFR maintains keratinocyte homeostasis while MeT regulates processes associated with tissue *** studies suggest that the acneiform rash occurring in response to eGFR inhibition is a part of an inflammatory response driven by pronounced cytokine and chemokine release and recruitment of distinct immune cell ***,blockade of eGFR causes a Type I interferon response within keratinocytes and in carcinoma cells driven by this *** innate immune response within the tumor microenvironment(TMe)involves increased antigen presentation and effector T cell recruitment that may participate in therapy *** TKI-mediated release of inflammatory suppression represents a novel tumor cell vulnerability that may be exploited by combining TKIs with immune-oncology agents that rely on T-cell inflammation for ***,early clinical data indicate that combination therapies enhance the frequency and magnitude of the more acute adverse events,especially pneumonitis,hepatitis,and pulmonary *** preclinical studies to understand TKI mediated inflammation and crosstalk between normal epithelial cells,cancer cells,and the TMe are necessary to improve treatment regimens for patients with RTK-driven carcinomas.

Coastal marine management is vital for socio-ecological sustainability of developing,tropical ecosystems,which calls for diverse tools to monitor and assess water *** carbonatedominated habitats off Zanzibar were chosen for study due to potential water quality degradation in a rapidly developing tourist destination heavily reliant on its coral *** reefs are largely unmonitored and subject to local and global stressors.A widely used method for assessing reef health,as an early detection method of ecological changes,is the application of large benthic foraminiferal bioindicators,i.e.,the Fo RAM *** expected to find poor water quality conditions in the unmanaged reefs supported by stress-toelerant(opportunistic)foraminiferal *** dissolved inorganic nitrogen and phosphate values derived from untreated sewage effluent from Stone Town were highly variable(ranging 0.05–3.77 and 0.05–1.45μM,respectively),moderate,and occasionally approached or exceeded critical threshold values for oligotrophic *** analysis of total assemblages indicated an abundance of symbiont-bearing large benthic foraminifera,dominated by prolific Amphistegina species,comparatively low-moderate diversity,high FI values(7.6 on average),and high coral cover.A water quality gradient was reflected by subtle assemblage differences,suggesting that LBF can provide early warning signals of benthic changes,indicating the importance of long-term monitoring programs in vulnerable,rapidly developing coastal ecosystems exposed to increasing pressures.

The proteasome is a major protein-degrading enzyme, which catalyzes degradation of oxidized and aged proteins, signal transduction factors and cleaves peptides for antigen presentation. Proteasome exists in the equilibrium of 26S and 20S particles. Proteasome function is altered by ethanol metabolism, depending on oxidative stress levels： low oxidative stress induces proteasome activity, while high oxidative stress reduces it. The proposed mechanisms for modulation of proteasome activity are related to oxidative modification of proteasomal proteins with primary and secondary products derived from ethanol oxidation. Decreased proteolysis by the proteasome results in the accumulation of insoluble protein aggregates, which cannot be degraded by proteasome and which further inhibit proteasome function. Mallory bodies, a common signature of alcoholic liver diseases, are formed by liver cells, when proteasome is unable to remove cytokeratins. Proteasome inhibition by ethanol also promotes the accumulation of pro-apoptotic factors in mitochondria of ethanol-metabolizing liver cells that are normally degraded by proteasome. In addition, decreased proteasome function also induces accumulation of the negative regulators of cytokine signaling （I-~B and SOCS）, thereby blocking cytokine signal transduction. Finally, ethanol-elicited blockade of interferon type 2 and 2 signaling and decreased proteasome function impairs generation of peptides for MHC class Ⅰ-restricted antigen presentation.
