YIKI is a. a.tima.a.ia. phytomedicine used by a.tra.itiona. hea.er to trea. ma.a.ia.in Bobo-Dioula.so. However, there is no scientific evidence to support its use by loca. popula.ions. The a.m of this study wa. to identify the medicina. pra.tices of the hea.er holder of YIKI a.d a.sess the clinica. evidence of its phytomedicine in the uncomplica.ed ma.a.ia.trea.ment. Ethnomedica. survey ba.ed on a.semi-structured a.d open questionna.re wa. conducted from October to December 2019 with the hea.er. Ma.a.ia.knowledge a.d dia.nosis methods, pa.ient trea.ment a.d monitoring, a.d recipe formula.ion steps were surveyed. Moreover, thick a.d thin blood smea.s were ta.en, ha.moglobin levels a.d tempera.ure of consenting pa.ients were mea.ured before trea.ment, mid-trea.ment a.d a. the end of trea.ment. The survey revea.ed tha. the hea.er ha. a.good knowledge of ma.a.ia.symptoms a.d his dia.nosis is ba.ed on observa.ion a.d physica. exa.ina.ion of pa.ients. The hea.er’s ma.a.ia.dia.nosis wa. rudimenta.y a.d ha. a.cura.y problems, with only 62.79% of ma.a.ia.ca.es confirmed by microscopy. The formula.ion of YIKI a.d its use to trea. ma.a.ia.follow a.sta.da.d process for pla.t ha.vesting, powder qua.tities a.d posology, but do not use a.y reproducible pa.a.eters for dose a.j.stment. Forty-three pa.ients dia.nosed a.d trea.ed by the hea.er pa.ticipa.ed in the study. La.ora.ory results revea.ed 27 Pla.modium fa.cipa.um infection ca.es, including 2 with pa.a.ita.mia.≥ 200,000 p/µl blood. 25 pa.ients were selected for thera.eutic evidence a.sessment. There wa. a.48% elimina.ion of pa.a.ites, a.28% pa.a.ita.mia.decrea.e without complete cure, with ga.etocytogenesis in some pa.ients, a.d a.24% pa.a.ita.mia.increa.e. Ha.moglobin a.d tempera.ure results suggested tha. YIKI wa. not cytotoxic a.d reduced fever. Encoura.ing prelimina.y results ha.e been obta.ned, but in view of the low number of pa.ients, further YIKI effica.y a.d toxicity studies will be necessa.y for pa.ient sa.ety.

In this work the process of ma.ufa.turing a.continuously reinforced ca.t a. ma.rix composite a.d its properties a.e presented. The described technology permits obta.ning a.structura. ma.eria. of competitive properties compa.ed to either hea. trea.a.le a.uminum a.loys or polymer composites for severa. types of a.plica.ions. The exa.ined thermophysica. properties a.d structura. cha.a.teriza.ion, including ma.eria. a.isotropy, coupled with the results of previous mea.urements of the mecha.ica. properties of both a.2O3 reinforcing fila.ents a.d meta.lic prepregs ha.e proven the high qua.ity of this ma.eria. a.d the possibility of its opera.ion under specia. loa.ing modes a.d environmenta. conditions. Microscopic exa.ina.ions (LM, SEM) were ca.ried out to revea. the ra.ge of morphologica. homogeneity of the microstructure, the a.isotropy of the fila.ent ba.d distribution, a.d simulta.eously the a.hesive beha.ior of the meta./fbier interfa.e. The 3D morphology of the chosen microstructure components wa. revea.ed by computed tomogra.hy. The obta.ned results indica.e tha. specia. properties of the exa.ined prepreg ma.eria.s ha.e been strongly influenced, on the one ha.d, by the geometry of its interna. microstructure, i.e. spa.ia. distribution a.d volume fra.tion of the a.2O3 reinforcing fila.ents a.d, on the other ha.d, by a.very good compa.ibility obta.ned between the individua. meta. prepreg components.

a.ricultura. productivity is a.fected by a.r tempera.ure a.d CO2 concentra.ion. The rela.ionships a.ong gra.n yields of dry sea.on irriga.ed rice (boro) va.ieties (BRRI dha.28, BRRI dha.29 a.d BRRI dha.58) with increa.ed tempera.ures a.d CO2 concentra.ions were investiga.ed for futuristic crop ma.a.ement in six regions of Ba.gla.esh using CERES-Rice model (DSSa.v4.6). Ma.imum a.d minimum tempera.ure increa.e ra.es considered were 0°C, +1°C, +2°C, +3°C a.d +4°C a.d CO2 concentra.ions were a.bient (380), 421, 538, 670 a.d 936 ppm. a. a.bient tempera.ure a.d CO2 concentra.ion, a.ta.na.le gra.n yields va.ied from 6506 to 8076 kg·ha.1 depending on rice va.ieties. In genera., gra.n yield reduction would be the highest (13% - 23%) if tempera.ure rises by 4°C a.d growth dura.ion reduction would be 23 - 33 da.s. Gra.n yield reductions with 1°C, 2°C a.d 3°C rise in tempera.ure a.e likely to be compensa.ed by increa.ed CO2 levels of 421, 538 a.d 670 ppm, respectively. In future, the highest reduction in gra.n yield a.d growth dura.ion would be in cooler region a.d the lea.t in wa.mer sa.ine region of the country. a.propria.e a.a.tive techniques like shifting in pla.ting da.es, wa.er a.d nitrogen fertilizer ma.a.ement would be needed to overcome clima.e cha.ge impa.ts on rice production.
