Impacts of cadmium addition on the alteration of microbial community and transport of antibiotic resistance genes in oxytetracycline contaminated soil

The large-scale development in livestock feed industry has increased the chances of antibiotics and heavy metals contamination in the *** fate of antibiotic resistance genes(ARGs)and microbial community in heavy metals and antibiotic contaminated soil is still *** this study,we investigated the effect of cadmium(Cd)addition on the transport of ARGs,microbial community and human pathogenic bacteria in oxytetracycline(OTC)contaminated *** showed that the addition of OTC significantly increased the abundance of ARGs and intI1 in the soil and lettuce *** addition of Cd to OTC treated soil further increased the abundance and translocation of ARGs and ***,Cd promoted the transfer of potential human pathogenic bacteria(HPB)into lettuce *** with O10 treatment,the addition of Cd decreased the concentration of OTC in soil and lettuce tissue,but slightly increased the fresh weight of lettuce *** analysis indicated that bacterial community succession is a major factor in ARGs *** analysis indicated that the main host bacteria of ARGs were mainly derived from *** analysis showed that intI1 was significantly correlated with tetG,tetC,sul1,sul2,erm X,and ***,potential HPB(Clostridium,and Burkholderia)was significantly correlated with intI1 and eight ARGs(tetG,tetC,tetW,tetX,sul1,sul2,ermX,and ermQ.).The findings of this study suggest that the addition of heavy metals to agricultural fields must be considered in order to reduce the transfer of ARGs in the soil and crops.

Effects of dietary 1 alpha-hydroxycholecalciferol in calcium and phosphorous-deficient diets on growth performance,tibia related indices and immune responses in broiler chickens

This experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of dietary 1α-hydroxycholecalciferol(1α-OH-D3)in calcium(Ca)-and phosphorous(P)-deficient diets on growth performance, carcass characteristics,tibia related parameters, and immune responses of broiler chickens. A total of 280 one-day-old broiler chickens(Ross 308) were assigned to 20 floor pens and 4 dietary treatments with 5 replicates. Dietary treatments consisted of starter diets(starter diet of treatment A: 1% Ca, 0.73% total phosphorus [tP];starter diet of treatment B: 0.85% Ca.0.64% tP + 5 μg/kg of 1α-OH-D3;starter diet of treatment C: 0.85%Ca, 0.59% tP + 5 μg/kg of 1α-OH-D3;starter diet of treatment D: 0.85% Ca, 0.54% tP + 5 μg/kg of 1α-OHD3), grower diets(grower diet of treatment A: 0.86% Ca, 0.68% tP;grower diet of treatment B: 0.73% Ca,0.59% tP + 5 μg/kg of 1α-OH-D3;grower diet of treatment C: 0.73% Ca, 0.55% tP + 5 μg/kg of 1α-OH-D3;grower diet of treatment D: 0.73% Ca, 0.50% tP + 5 μg/kg of 1α-OH-D3) and finisher diets(finisher diet of treatment A: 0.81% Ca, 0.64% tP;finisher diet of treatment B: 0.68% Ca, 0.56% tP + 5 μg/kg of 1α-OH-D3;finisher diet of treatment C: 0.68% Ca,0,52% tP + 5 μg/kg of 1α-OH-D3;finisher diet of treatment D: 0.68%Ca.0.48% tP + 5 μg/kg of 1α-OH-D3). Results showed that body weight gain(BWG) and feed intake(FI) of broilers in treatment B were similar to those of broilers in treatment A at the end of the trial(P ments C and D had lower BWG and FI than those in treatment A during the whole trial(P mphoid organs were not affected by dietary treatments(P> 0.05). Dietary treatments had no significant effect on antibody titers against Newcastle and Influenza disease viruses as well as sheep red blood cells. Nitrogen in Relation to Photosynthetic Capacity and Accumulation of Osmoprotectant and Nutrients in Brassica Genotypes Grown Under Salt Stress

Different strategies of the application of nutrients are required to overcome the adverse effects of mustard （Brassica juncea L.） in response to NaCl stress. The objective of the present study was to determine if different added levels of nitrogen （N） in growth medium could alleviate the adverse effects of salt stress on photosynthetic capacity and accumulation of osmoprotectants and nutrients. 14 days mustard seedlings of salt-sensitive （cv. Chuutki） and salt-tolerant （cv. Radha） genotypes were fed with：（i） 0 mmol L^-1 NaCl ＋ 0 mg N kg^-1 sand （control）, （ii） 90 mmol L^-1 NaCl ＋ 30 mg N kg^-1 sand, （iii） 90 mmol L^-1 NaCl ＋60 mg N kg^-1 sand, （iv） 90 mmol L^-1 NaCl ＋90 mg N kg^-1 sand and （v） 90 mmol L^-1NaCl＋ 120 mg N kg^-1 sand. Under the condition of salinity stress, N application caused a significant ameliorative effect on both genotypes with respect to growth attributes [fresh weight （FW） and dry weight （DW）] and physio-biochemical parameters [percent water content （WC）, net photosynthetic rate （PN）, stomatal conductance （gs）, total chlorophyll （Ch1）, carbonic anhydrase （CA） activity and malondialdehyde （mDA）, nitrogen （N）, potassium （K） and sodium （Na） contents, and K/Na ratio] and yield attributes （number of pods/plant, seeds/pod and seed yield/plant）. The salt-tolerant genotype exhibited maximum value for growth, physio-biochemical and yield attributes at 60 mg N kg 1 sand than that of salt-sensitive genotype. These results suggest that application of N may ameliorate most of the attributes and prove to be a physiological remedy to increase the tolerance against the ill effects of salt stress in Brassicas.

Decolorization of Blue CL-BR dye by AOPs using bleach wastewater as source of H_2O_2

This research was focused on the investigation of the efficacy of advanced oxidation processes （Fenton, ozonation and UV/H2O2） for decolorization of reactive azo dye （Blue CL-BR） using bleach wastewater as possible source of H2O2. All the experiments were performed on the laboratory scale set-up. The results showed that colour removal efficiencies by UV or bleach （H2O2） alone were not so efficient. Fenton process with bleach wastewater was found to be the most effective at process conditions such as pH of 3 and HEO2/Fe^2＋ ratio of 24：1, resulting in 64% colour removal. Almost complete colour removal, i.e., 99% and 95% were achieved by UV//H2O2 and UV/bleach wastewater in 30 and 60 min, respectively. Ozonation proved an efficient method for decolorization of Blue CL-BR dye at alkaline pH. It was possible to achieve 98% colour removal with 30 min of ozonation at pH 9. The colour removal of dye was found to follow first order kinetics.

Error rate performance of Hybrid QAm-FSK in OFDm systems exhibiting low PAPR

multicarrier transmission systems like orthogonal frequency division multiplexing （OFDm） support high data rate and generally require no equalization at the receiver, making them simple and efficient. This paper studies the design and performance analysis of a hybrid modulation system derived from multifrequency and mQAm signals, employed in OFDm. This modulation scheme has better bit error rate （BER） performance and exhibits low PAPR. The proposed hybrid modulator reduces PAPR while keeping the OFDm transceiver design simple, as it does not require any side information or a little side information （only one bit） to be sent and is efficient for arbitrary number of subcarriers. The results of the implementations are compared with those of conventional OFDm system.

Bipolar single-valued neutrosophic models are the generalization of bipolar fuzzy models. We first introduce the concept of bipolar single-valued neutrosophic competition graphs. We then, discuss some important propositions related to bipolar single-valued neutrosophic competition graphs. We define bipolar single-valued neutrosophic economic competition graphs and m-step bipolar single-valued neutrosophic economic competition graphs. Further, we describe applications of bipolar single-valued neutrosophic competition graphs in organizational designations and brands competition. Finally, we present our improved methods by algorithms.

ZnSe/ITO thin films:candidate for CdTe solar cell window layer

The crystal structure, electrical and optical properties of ZnSe thin films deposited on an In203 ：Sn （ITO） substrate are evaluated for their suitability as the window layer of CdTe thin film solar cells. ZnSe thin films of 80, 90, and 100 nm thickness were deposited by a physical vapor deposition method on Indium tin oxide coated glass substrates. The lattice parameters are increased to 5.834 A when the film thickness was 100 rim, which is close to that of CdS. The crystallite size is decreased with the increase of film thickness. The optical transmission analysis shows that the energy gap for the sample with the highest thickness has also increased and is very close to 2.7 eV. The photo decay is also studied as a function of ZnSe film thickness.

The objective of this experiment was to investigate the effects of dried powder of Calendula ojficinalis L.(marigold)flower as an antibiotic growth promoter substitute on growth performance,organ weights,and immunological parameters in broilers.A total of 240 mixed sex broilers(Ross 308)at 1 d of age were individually weighed and randomly assigned to 4 treatments with 4 replicates of 15 birds for 6 *** dietary treatments were:1)a basal diet(control);2)control plus 4.5 mg flavophospholipol/kg of diet;3)control plus 5 g marigold/kg of diet;4)control plus 10 g marigold/kg of *** responses against Newcastle(NDV),influenza(AI)viruses,and sheep red blood cells(SRBC)were *** 4.5 mg flavophospholipol/kg of diet enhanced body weight(BW)of broilers at 14 and 28 d of age(Pmarkedly *** 14 and 28 d of age,broilers fed diets supplemented with 10 g marigold/kg of diet had significantly lower BW compared with broilers fed the basal diet supplemented with antibiotic or 5 g marigold/kg of *** the starter period,broilers fed diets supplemented with antibiotic had significantly(Pmpared with broilers supplemented with 10 g marigold/kg of diet,but did not differ from broilers fed the basal diet or basal diet supplemented with 5 g marigold/kg of *** were no significant differences in FCR between treatments,during grower,finisher phases as well as for the whole *** yield was significantly(Pmented with 5 g marigold/kg of diet compared with broilers in other *** treatments failed to induce any marked effect on immune *** conclusion,the results of this experiment showed that supplementation of 5 and 10 g dried powder of marigold/kg of diet has no affirmative influence on growth performance of broilers.
