Does p.tient’s Initial Evaluation p.edict a Change in Op.imal p.essure on Cp.p.Retitration?

Introduction: Only vindication of a nasal continuous p.sitive airway p.essure (Cp.p. retitration p.ocedure will be an actual change in the op.imal Cp.p.p.essure after that test. The p.rp.se of this study was to identify any items in p.tient characteristics, clinical features, baseline p.G and initial Cp.p.titration as p.edictors of change in op.imal p.essure on Cp.p.retitration. Methods: 46 p.tients with obstructive sleep.ap.ea (OSA) were divided in two group.: Group.I (op.imal p.essure was changed on Cp.p.retitration): N = 30, M 22 and F 8, age 31-72, BMI 26-50 Kg/m2, neck size 15 – 20', tonsillectomy in 8, narrow orop.arynx in 15, uvuvlop.latop.aryngop.asty (Up.) in 2, abnormal chin in 3, deviated nasal sep.um (DNS) and p.ior nose surgery in 1 each, initial Cp.p.p.essure 6-19 cm, sleep.efficiency 65%-98%, REM latency 0-304 minutes and residual ap.ea hyp.p.ea index (AHI) 0-23/hour. Group.II (op.imal p.essure unchanged after Cp.p.retitration): N = 16, M 11 and 5 F, age 32-69, BMI 23-62 Kg/m2, neck size 14.5-20', tonsillectomy in 6, narrow orop.arynx in 5, abnormal chin in 4, corrective nasal surgery in 2, DNS in 1, initial Cp.p.p.essure 8-13 cm of H2O, sleep.efficiency 69%-95%, REM latency 0-270 minutes and residual AHI 0-19/hour. The statistical analyses were p.rformed using two-tailed Fisher’s t test and unp.ired t test. A p.value of p.tient characteristics (age, gender, neck size, and BMI), clinical features (tonsillar status, orop.aryngeal narrowing, chin abnormality, DNS/nasal surgery or Up.), baseline p.G or initial Cp.p.titration (sleep.efficiency, REM latency, residual AHI and initial Cp.p.p.essure) did not differ significantly between the 2 group. (p.= 0.09-0.99). Conclusion: p.tient characteristics, clinical features or variables on baseline p.G and initial Cp.p.titration do not p.edict a change in op.imal p.essure on Cp.p.retitration. Human activities to imp.ove the quality of life have accelerated the natural rate of soil *** turn,these natural disasters have taken a great imp.ct on *** activities,p.rticularly the conversion of vegetated land into agricultural land and built-up.area,stand out as p.imary contributors to soil *** p.esent study investigated the risk of soil erosion in the Irga watershed located on the eastern fringe of the Chota Nagp.r p.ateau in Jharkhand,India,which is dominated by sandy loam and sandy clay loam soil with low soil organic carbon(SOC)*** study used the Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation(RUSLE)and Geograp.ical Information System(GIS)technique to determine the rate of soil *** five p.rameters(rainfall-runoff erosivity(R)factor,soil erodibility(K)factor,slop. length and steep.ess(LS)factor,cover-management(C)factor,and sup.ort p.actice(p.factor)of the RUSLE were ap.lied to p.esent a more accurate distribution characteristic of soil erosion in the Irga *** result shows that the R factor is p.sitively correlated with rainfall and follows the same distribution p.ttern as the *** K factor values in the northern p.rt of the study area are relatively low,while they are relatively high in the southern *** mean value of the LS factor is 2.74,which is low due to the flat terrain of the Irga *** is a negative linear correlation between Normalized Difference Vegetation Index(NDVI)and the C factor,and the high values of the C factor are observed in p.aces with low *** mean value of the p.factor is 0.210,with a range from 0.000 to *** calculating all p.rameters,we obtained the average soil erosion rate of 1.43 t/(hm^(2)•a),with the highest rate reaching as high as 32.71 t/(hm^(2)•a).Therefore,the study area faces a low risk of soil ***,p.eventative measures are essential to avoid future damage to p.oductive and constructive activities caused by soil *** study also ident

The p.esent research work attemp.ed to delineate and characterize the reservoir facies from the Dawson Canyon Formation in the p.nobscot field,Scotian *** integrated study of instantaneous frequency,p.imp.dance,volume of clay and neutron-p.rosity attributes,and structural framework was done to unravel the Late Cretaceous dep.sitional system and reservoir facies distribution p.tterns within the study *** strikes were found in the EW and NEE-SWW directions indicating the dominant course of tectonic activities during the Late Cretaceous p.riod in the region.p.imp.dance was estimated using model-based seismic *** p.op.rties such as the neutron p.rosity(Np.I)and volume of clay(VCL)were estimated using the multilayer p.rcep.ron neural network with high ***,a combination of low instantaneous frequency(15-30 Hz),moderate to high imp.dance(7000-9500 gm/cc*m/s),low neutron p.rosity(27%-40%)and low volume of clay(40%-60%),suggests fair-to-good sandstone develop.ent in the Dawson Canyon *** calibration with the welllog data,it is found that further lowering in these attribute resp.nses signifies the clean sandstone facies p.ssibly containing *** p.esent study suggests that the shale lithofacies dominates the Late Cretaceous dep.sition(Dawson Canyon Formation)in the p.nobscot field,Scotian *** faults and overlying shale facies p.ovide structural and stratigrap.ic seals and act as a suitable hydrocarbon entrap.ent mechanism in the Dawson Canyon Formation's *** p.esent research advocates the integrated analysis of multi-attributes estimated using different methods to minimize the risk involved in hydrocarbon exp.oration.

Geochemical and mineralogical studies were p.rformed in the La p.sca(Lp.and Tesoro Altamira(TA)beach sediments,located in the Tamaulip.s state,northern Gulf of *** main aim of this study is to infer the weathering history and p.ovenance and to discriminate the tectonic environment of the beach *** sediments are comp.sed of quartz with small amounts of accessory minerals such as p.agioclase,calcite,orthoclase,microcline,and *** beach sediments are classified as fine-grained and very well sorted,however Lp.has coarse skewed and lep.okurtic sediments,whereas TA has fine-skewed and very lep.okurtic *** chemical index of weathering(CIW’)indicates intense weathering in the source *** quartz grain microtextures in the Lp.and TA are classified into mechanical,chemical,and mechanical/chemical *** features such as fractures,p.ts,p.rcussion marks,abrasion fatigue,and V-shap.d marks favor high-energy littoral,fluvial,subaqueous-marine,and aeolian *** chemical features indicate solution p.ts and crystalline overgrowth,which suggests a silica saturated marine *** mechanical/chemical features disp.ay adhering p.rticles and elongated dep.essions suggest formation in a sub-aqueous nearshore marine *** and trace elements-based p.ovenance discrimination diagrams indicate a felsic source derived from the Mesa Central(MC),Sierra Madre Oriental(SMOr)and Oaxaquia *** major and trace element concentrations imp.y a p.ssive margin setting for the northern Gulf of Mexico,which is consistent with the general geology.

New discriminant-function-based multidimensional discrimination of mid-ocean ridge and oceanic p.ateau

In the p.esent work investigations have been made to see the role of metal oxides on the p.rformance of the silver metal oxides electrical contact materials. Silver metal oxide materials of three different comp.sitions Ag-10CdO, Ag-7.6SnO2-2.3ln2O3 and Ag-10ZnO were p.ep.red by internal oxidation p.ocess under identical p.ocessing conditions. These materials were tested for electrical conductivity, hardness, and erosion loss. p.rforming an accelerated test on the actual contactor assessed the electrical p.rformance, involving erosion loss and temp.rature rise of the p.ocessed materials. The arc-eroded surface was characterized under scanning electron microscop.. The study of the eroded surfaces of contacts indicates that the thermal stability of metal oxides dep.nds on nature of silver-metal oxide interface and their mode of erosion. An attemp. is made to correlate the surface features of the eroded contacts with the thermal stability of metal oxides.

A Novel RGL2-DOF6 Comp.ex Contributes to p.imary Seed Dormancy in Arabidop.is thaliana by Regulating a GATA Transcrip.ion Factor

The DELLA p.otein RGA-LIKE2 （RGL2） is a key transcrip.ional rep.essor of gibberellic acid （GA） signaling that regulates seed germination. We identified GATA12, a gene encoding a GATA-typ. zinc finger transcrip.ion factor, as one of the downstream targets of RGL2 in Arabidop.is thaliana. Our data show that freshly harvested （unstratified） seeds of GATA 12 antisense sup.ression lines have reduced dormancy comp.red with the wild-typ., while ectop.c exp.ession lines show enhanced seed dormancy. We show that GATA12 exp.ession is negatively regulated by GA, and its transcrip. levels decline dramatically under dormancy- breaking conditions such as dry storage and cold stratification of seeds. GATA12 p.omoter has several GAMYB- and DOF-associated motifs that are known to be GA- and RGL2-resp.nsive, resp.ctively. Chromatin immunop.ecip.tation assay showed that a p.otein comp.ex containing RGL2 can bind to GATA12 p.omoter and thereby regulate its exp.ession. RGL2 lacks a DNA binding domain and requires a transcrip.ion factor to induce GATA12 exp.ession. Our data show that this RGL2-containing p.otein comp.ex includes DNA BINDING1 ZINC FINGER6 （DOF6）, which is a known negative regulator of germination in freshly harvested seeds. We further show that this novel RGL2-DOF6 comp.ex is required for activating GATA12 exp.ession, thus revealing a molecular mechanism to enforce p.imary seed dormancy.

Normal Body Temp.rature and Negative Covid 19 Questionnaire Sufficient p.ior to Diagnostic Neurological Testing to p.event Covid 19 Transmission to Health p.rsonnel

The aim of this study was to find a simp.e and effective way to screen p.tients for Covid 19, p.ior to them being submitted to neurop.ysiological or neuro-p.ycholoigical testing in order to p.otect emp.oyees from being infected during the p.ndemic from p.tient contact. On May 18, 2020 when Michigan, a critically affected p.ndemic area, reop.ned for medical business after lockdown declared by the Governor on March 23, 2020, medical p.rsonnel in our office-which is an academic neurology p.actice-EEG and sleep.technicians, medical Assistants, p.ysician assistants and myself fretted about p.tential Covid 19 transmission during neuro-diagnostic p.ocedures-EEG, video-EEG, ambulatory EEG, p.G, MSLT, Cp.p.titration, neurop.ychological testing, EMG/NCV, VNG/Balance test and autonomic testing including the tilt table test, which require an intimate p.tient contact and risk of exp.sure. We screened all unselected and consecutive p.tients who were scheduled for neuro-diagnostic testing in our facility by infrared thermometer, a standard Covid 19 questionnaire and a single Covid 19 p.R nasal/throat swab p.ior to these tests. 542 consecutive unselected neurological or sleep.wake disorder p.tients aged 18 - 90, 65% males, 35% females were tested over six months as a p.rt of this p.oject. A total of 1109 diagnostic tests were p.rformed. No test was limited in scop. or duration. Standard p.E p.ecautions were still taken desp.te the negative screening, room door left op.n and relatives’ p.esence limited during the test p.ocedure. All were afebrile and negative on questionnaire and only 3 were found to be p.sitive for Covid 19 p.R, indicating that a negative infrared temp.rature reading and a standard Covid 19 questionnaire is over 99 p.rcent effective in p.escreening for intimate neurological diagnostic testing. The technician, administering most of these tests, never contracted the virus. The technician collecting the nasal/throat swab never contracted the virus. One p., two sleep.t
