with the main objective being to analyze the competition, complementarity and intensity of Kenya China trade on manufactured goods, this research paper uses Revealed Comparative Index, Trade Complementarity Index and Trade Intensity for *** indicate that trade on manufactured goods between Kenya and China is highly complementary. Kenya generally has a comparative disadvantage in manufactures hence lack competitiveness while China's comparative advantage is very strong hence highly competitive products. Kenya's exports hardly complement China's imports while China exports highly complement Kenya's imports hence the high imports of manufactures from China to Kenya. Research on trade intensity shows that Kenya's products penetration to China is low;hence Kenya under exports to China on manufactured goods while China's exports to Kenya are normal and as expected. This implies that there's potential room for growth for Kenya's exports to China. Thus,Kenya should bring out its comparative advantages and modify its product composition and structure of exports in manufactured goods which will aid to realize mutual benefit and cooperation on bilateral trade between both countries i.e., Kenya and China. An analysis of the constraints hindering Trade on manufactured goods shows that Poor business environment in Kenya and lack of a sound trade policy between Kenya and China are the major challenges among *** paper is divided into six parts. CONTRALATERAL SUPPRESSION OF DISTORTION PRODUCT OTOACOUSTIC EMISSION IN CHILDREN wITH AUDITORY PROCESSING DISORDERS

Previous research has demonstrated that the amplitude of evoked emissions decreases in human sub-jects when the contralateral ear is stimulated by noise. The medial olivocochlear bundle (MOCB) is be-lieved to control this phenomenon. Recent research has examined this effect in individuals with auditory pro-cessing disorders (APD), specifically with difficulty understanding speech in noise. Results showed tran-sient evoked otoacoustic emissions (TEOAEs) were not affected by contralateral stimulation in these sub-jects. Much clinical research has measured the function of the MOCB through *** study will use an alternative technique, distortion product otoacoustic emissions (DPOAEs), to examine this phenomenon and evaluate the function of the MOCB. DPOAEs of individuals in a control group with normal hearing and no significant auditory processing difficulties were compared to the DPOAEs of children with signifi-cant auditory processing *** showed that the suppression effect was observed in the control group at 2 kHz with 3 kHz of narrowband noise. Primary Sjogren＇s syndrome （pSS） is a systemic autoimmune disease with exocrine gland dysfunction and multi-organ involvement. Recent progress in understanding the pathogenesis of pSS offers an opportunity to find new biomarkers for the diagnosis and assessment of disease activity. Screening noninvasive biomarkers from the saliva and tears has significant potential. The need for specific and sensitive biomarker candidates in pSS is significant. This review aims to summarize recent advances in the identification of biomarkers of Sjogren syndrome, trying to identify reliable, sensitive, and specific biomarkers that can be used to guide treatment decisions.

Angiosarcomatous component in gliosarcoma: case report and consideration of diagnostic challenge and hemorrhagic propensity

An angiosarcomatous component in gliosarcoma may be associated with an increased intraoperative hemorrhagic risk and preoperative diagnostic challenge. we report a unique case of gliosarcoma with an angiosarcomatous component in a 61-year-old man. His brain MRI demonstrated a well-demarcated right occipital tumor with multiple flow voids and rim-like enhancement as well as intratumoral strip and nodular enhancements. He underwent a craniotomy for tumor resection. Intraoperatively, significant tumor hemorrhage required greater efforts to control intraoperative bleeding and to maintain hemostasis. Pathological examination of the tumor revealed alternating gliomatous and sarcomatous/angiosarcomatous components with intratumoral hemorrhage. He was postoperatively treated with chemoradiation. The tumor recurred at 9 months, for which the second resection was performed with similarly greater efforts to achieve hemostasis. The recurrent tumor was pathologically similar despite treatment-associated changes. Awareness of this angiosarcomatous component in gliosarcoma with the hemorrhagic risk is important for both the preoperative diagnosis and surgical management.

TwO-LAYER MODEL DESCRIPTION OF POLYMER THIN FILM DYNAMICS

Experiments in the past two decades have shown that the glass transition temperature of polymer films can become noticeably different from that of the bulk when the film thickness is decreased below ca. 100 nm. It is broadly believed that these observations are caused by a nanometer interfacial layer with dynamics faster or slower than that of the bulk. In this paper, we examine how this idea may be realized by using a two-layer model assuming a hydrodynamic coupling between the interfacial layer and the remaining, bulk-like layer in the film. Illustrative examples will be given showing how the two-layer model is applied to the viscosity measurements of polystyrene and polymethylmethacrylate films supported by silicon oxide, where divergent thickness dependences are observed.

Semantic web(Sw)provides new opportunities for the study and application of big data,massive ranges of data sets in varied formats from multiple *** studies focus on potential Sw technologies for resolving big data problems,such as structurally and semantically heterogeneous data that result from the variety of data formats(structured,semi-structured,numeric,unstructured text data,email,video,audio,stock ticker).Sw offers information semantically both for people and machines to retain the vast volume of data and provide a meaningful output of unstructured *** the current research,we implement a new semantic Extract Transform Load(ETL)model that uses Sw technologies for aggregating,integrating,and representing data as linked ***,geospatial data resources are aggregated from the internet,and then a semantic ETL model is used to store the aggregated data in a semantic model after converting it to Resource Description Framework(RDF)format for successful integration and *** principal contribution of this research is the synthesis,aggregation,and semantic representation of geospatial data to solve problems.A case study of city data is used to illustrate the semantic ETL model’s *** results show that the proposed model solves the structural and semantic heterogeneity problems in diverse data sources for successful data aggregation,integration,and representation.

Spoil characterisation using UAV-based optical remote sensing in coal mine dumps

The structural integrity of mine dumps is crucial for mining operations to avoid adverse impacts on the triple *** temporal assessments of coal mine dumps are a compliant requirement to ensure design reconciliation as spoil off-loading continues over ***,the conventional in-situ coal spoil characterisation is inefficient,laborious,hazardous,and prone to experts'observation *** this end,this study explores a novel approach to develop automated coal spoil characterisation using unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)based optical remote *** textural and spectral properties of the high-resolution UAV images were utilised to derive lithology and geotechnical parameters(i.e.,fabric structure and relative density/consistency)in the proposed *** raw images were converted to an orthomosaic using structure from motion aided ***,structural descriptors were computed per pixel to enhance feature modalities of the spoil ***,machine learning algorithms were employed with ground truth from experts as training and testing data to characterise spoil rapidly with minimal human *** characterisation accuracies achieved from the proposed approach manifest a digital solution to address the limitations in the conventional characterisation approach.

A novel molecular distance edge vector as applied to chemical modeling of quantitative structure-retention relationships:Various gas chromatographic retention behaviors of polychlorinated dibenzofurans on different polarity-varying stationary phases

Based on the identical group as a pseudo atom instead of a typical atom, a novel modified molecular dis-tance-edge (MDE) vector μ was developed in our laboratory to characterize chemical structure of polychlorinated diben-zofurans (PCDFs) congeners and/or isomers. Quantitative structure-retention relationships (QSRRs) between the new VMDE parameters and gas chromatographic (GC) retention behavior of PCDFs were then generated by multiple linear regression (MLR) method for non-polar, moderately polar, and polar stationary phases. Four excellent models with high correlation coefficients, R=0.984-0.995, were proposed for non-polar columns (DB-5, SE-54, OV-101). For the moder-ately polar columns (OV-1701), the correlation coefficient of the developed good model is only 0.958. For the polar col-umns (SP-2300), the QSRR model is poor with R=0.884. Then cross validation with leave-one out of procedure (CV) is performed in high correlation with the non-polar (Rcv=992-0.974) and weakly polar (Rcv=921) columns and in little cor-relation (Rcv=0.834) with the polar columns. These results show that the new μ vector is suitable for describing the re-tention behaviors of PCDFs on non-polar and moderately polar stationary phases and not for the various gas chroma-tographic retention behaviors of PCDFs on the different po-larity-varying stationary phases.
