EBSD Investigation on Effect of Cooling Rate on microstructure and Transformation Textures of High Strength Hot-rolled Steel Plates

The effect of cooling rate on the microstructure and transformation textures of high strength hot-rolled steels was *** treated samples subjected to different cooling conditions were characterized by optical and scanning electron microscopes using orientation imaging microscopy（OIm）.The experimental results demonstrate that there is a significant effect of cooling rate on microstructures and textures resulting from phase *** cooling rates lead to the appearance of the cube（001）[010],rotated cube（001）[110]/（001）[110],Goss（110）[001]and rotated Goss（110）[110]*** contrast,textures developed at rapid cooling rates are preferably of Cu（112）[111],Br（110）[112],transformed Cu（113）[110]and transformed Br（332）[113]/（112）[131].These texture changes are attributed to the selective character of the phase *** OIm technique was used to have a better understanding of the formation of phases and their relationship between microstructure and processing *** volume fraction of micro-constituents resulting from phase transformation such as bainite,martensite and different types of ferrite,can be measured satisfactorily by this technique correlating image quality of EBSD patterns to specific phases.

Objective:To determine larvicidal activity of the essential oil,hydrolat and botanical extracts derived from leaves ol Pseudocalymma alliaceum an mosquito larvae of Culex ***:Groups of twenty lanae were used in the larvicidal *** mortality,relative growth rate,the larval and pupal duration and viability was *** essential oil was analyzed by solid phase microextraction using gas chromatography coupled to mass ***:Essential oil at 800 ppm showed larvicidal activity at 24 h with lethal values of LC_(50) and LC_(90) of 267.33 and 493.63 *** hvdrolat at 20% and 10% on 2nd stage larvae showed 100%effectiveness after 24 *** aqueous extract at 10% had a relative growth index of *** the ethanolic and methanolic extract obtained values of 0.76 and 0.70 and control reached *** treated with 10% of methanol,ethanol and aqueous extract showed a reduction in larval duration of 5.00,2.20 and 4.35 days;ethanol extract at 1% provoke decrease of 2.40 days in the development and exhibited an increment of 3.30 days when treated with 0.01%.Aqueous,ethanol and methanol extracts at 10%reduced in 6.15,3.42 and 5.57 days pupal *** main compounds were diallyl disulfide(50.05%),diallyl sulfide(11.77%) and disulfide di-2-propenyl(10.37%).Conclusions:The study demonstrated for the first time,the larvicidal activity of the essential oil and hydrolat of Pseudocalymma alliaceum:aqueous,ethanol and methanol extracts inhibited the normal growth and development of mosquito larvae,prolonging and delaying larval and pupal duration.

Association of the HLA-DRB1*0701 allele with perinuclear anti-neutrophil cytoplasmatic antibodies in mexican patients with severe ulcerative colitis

AIm： To determine the association between the HLADRB1 alleles and perinuclear anti-neutrophil cytoplasmatic antibodies （p-ANCA） positive in mexican patients with ulcerative colitis （UC）. mETHODS： Ninety mexican mestizo patients （45 females） with UC, confirmed by biopsy, were studied. High resolution HLA typing was performed by PCR-SSO reverse dot blot and PCR-SSP. molecular typing techniques were applied to define HLA-DRB1 alleles. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and immunofluorescence techniques were used to detect p-ANCA. RESULTS： Forty-eight （53%） UC patients were positive for p-ANCA by ELISA and IF. We found that p-ANCA- positive UC patients had a significantly increased frequency of HLA-DR7 compared with p-ANCA-negative controls （22% vs 5.1%; pC=0.02, OR=5.2, CI 95%： 1.06-37.82）. Disease activity was scored as severe in 20 patients, moderate in 8, mild in 14 and no activity in the remaining 38 patients according to the Truelove and Witts criteria. Subgroup analysis showed a significantly increased frequency of the HLA-DRB1＊07 allele in 15 of 20 UC patients with severe activity of UC and p-ANCA positivity [100% vs 0%; pC=0.0000001; OR=35]. No significant differences were found between p-ANCA positive patients, HLA-DR alleles and other clinical features such as extraintestinal manifestations, proctocolectomy and ***： The HLA-DRB1＊07 is associated with p-ANCA positive UC mexican patients.

Breast cancer is the number one cause of can- cer deaths among Hispanic women in the United States, and in mexico, it recently became the primary cause of cancer deaths. This malign- nancy represents a poorly understood and un- derstudied disease in Hispanic women. The ELLA Binational Breast Cancer Study was es- tablished in 2006 as a multi-center study to as- sess patterns of breast tumor markers, clinical characteristics, and their risk factors in women of mexican descent. We describe the design and implementation of the ELLA Study and provide a risk factor comparison between women in the U.S. and those in mexico based on a sample of 765 patients (364 in the U.S. and 401 in mexico). Compared to women in mexico, U.S. women had significantly (p mean live births) and breastfeeding rates (57.5% vs. 80.5%), higher use of oral contraceptives (60.7% vs. 50.1%) and hormone replacement therapy (23.3% vs. 7.6%), and higher family history of breast cancer (15.7% vs. 9.0%). Re- sults show that differences in breast cancer risk factor patterns exist between mexico and U.S. women. We provide lessons learned from the conduct of our study. Binational studies are an important step in understanding disease pat- terns and etiology for women in both countries.
