Hypoxia-preconditioned bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells protect neurons from cardiac arrest-induced pyroptosis

Cardiac arrest can lead to severe neurological impairment as a result of inflammation,mitochondrial dysfunction,and post-cardiopulmonary resuscitation neurological *** preconditioning has been shown to improve migration and survival of bone marrow–derived mesenchymal stem cells and reduce pyroptosis after cardiac arrest,but the specific mechanisms by which hypoxia-preconditioned bone marrow–derived mesenchymal stem cells protect against brain injury after cardiac arrest are *** this end,we established an in vitro co-culture model of bone marrow–derived mesenchymal stem cells and oxygen–glucose deprived primary neurons and found that hypoxic preconditioning enhanced the protective effect of bone marrow stromal stem cells against neuronal pyroptosis,possibly through inhibition of the MAPK and nuclear factor κB ***,we transplanted hypoxia-preconditioned bone marrow–derived mesenchymal stem cells into the lateral ventricle after the return of spontaneous circulation in an 8-minute cardiac arrest rat model induced by *** results showed that hypoxia-preconditioned bone marrow–derived mesenchymal stem cells significantly reduced cardiac arrest–induced neuronal pyroptosis,oxidative stress,and mitochondrial damage,whereas knockdown of the liver isoform of phosphofructokinase in bone marrow–derived mesenchymal stem cells inhibited these *** conclude,hypoxia-preconditioned bone marrow–derived mesenchymal stem cells offer a promising therapeutic approach for neuronal injury following cardiac arrest,and their beneficial effects are potentially associated with increased expression of the liver isoform of phosphofructokinase following hypoxic preconditioning.

合肥市下辖4区4县1市,既是华东地区重要的农业基地,也是承接长江三角产业转移的地区,有巨大的地理位置优势。提升农业与物流业的耦合协调水平,不仅可以促进农业现代化的发展进程,还可以提高物流业的运作效率,进而推动合肥市国民经济高质量发展。本文通过构建合肥市农业和物流业协调发展评价指标体系,借助熵值法和耦合协调模型分析合肥市2012—2021年农业与物流业的耦合协调水平,得出以下结论:(1)2013—2017年农业与物流业耦合协调程度高;(2)2018—2021年耦合协调程度有下降的趋势;(3)从提高农产品质量、设施、信息化水平、鼓励引导物流企业、构建物流基础设施、培养物流人才等多维度提出进一步推动合肥市农业与物流业耦合协调发展建议。

随着全球老龄化加剧,骨质疏松症等与年龄相关的骨骼代谢疾病发病率不断上升,寻求安全有效的治疗干预方法至关重要。目前肠道微生物及其代谢产物调节骨代谢已成为研究的热点。短链脂肪酸(short-chain fatty acids,SCFAs)如乙酸、丙酸和丁酸等,能够通过肠-骨轴发挥骨形成和骨吸收的调节作用,对骨稳态调节具有一定的积极作用,并能改善炎症性骨丢失。本文综述SCFAs通过内分泌、免疫、改善营养吸收等途径调控骨代谢稳态,以期为老年代谢性骨病的预防和治疗提供科学依据。

Validation and application of three-dimensional discontinuous deformation analysis with tetrahedron finite element meshed block

In the last decade, three dimensional discontin- uous deformation analyses （3D DDA） has attracted more and more attention of researchers and geotechnical engineers worldwide. The original DDA formulation utilizes a linear displacement function to describe the block movement and deformation, which would cause block expansion under rigid body rotation and thus limit its capability to model block de- formation. In this paper, 3D DDA is coupled with tetrahe- dron finite elements to tackle these two problems. Tetrahe- dron is the simplest in the 3D domain and makes it easy to implement automatic discretization, even for complex topol- ogy shape. Furthermore, element faces will remain planar and element edges will remain straight after deformation for tetrahedron finite elements and polyhedral contact detection schemes can be used directly. The matrices of equilibrium equations for this coupled method are given in detail and an effective contact searching algorithm is suggested. Valida- tion is conducted by comparing the results of the proposed coupled method with that of physical model tests using one of the most common failure modes, i.e., wedge failure. Most of the failure modes predicted by the coupled method agree with the physical model results except for 4 cases out of the total 65 cases. Finally, a complex rockslide example demon- strates the robustness and versatility of the coupled method.

Hydrogen sulfide(H2S) is commonly referred to as the third gasotransmitter with firmly established physiological roles. Prodrug approaches have been broadly applied to deliver H2S for various applications and mechanistic studies. Since S-persulfidation and glutathionylation are known to be important in cellular signaling by sulfur species, there have been interests in developing donors of persulfide and glutathione persulfide as well. In this review, we discuss the recent development in area of prodrugs for various sulfur species.

Battery Separators Functionalized with Edge-Rich MoS2/C Hollow Microspheres for the Uniform Deposition of Li2S in High-Performance Lithium-Sulfur Batteries

As promising energy storage systems,lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries have attracted significant attention because of their ultra-high energy ***,Li-S battery suffers problems related to the complex phase conversion that occurs during the charge-discharge process,particularly the deposition of solid Li2S from the liquid-phase polysulfides,which greatly limits its practical *** this paper,edge-rich MoS2/C hollow microspheres(Edg-MoS2/C HMs)were designed and used to functionalize separator for Li-S battery,resulting in the uniform deposition of *** microspheres were fabricated through the facile hydrothermal treatment of MoO3-aniline nanowires and a subsequent carbonization *** obtained Edg-MoS2/C HMs have a strong chemical absorption capability and high density of Li2S binding sites,and exhibit excellent electrocatalytic performance and can effectively hinder the polysulfide shuttle effect and guide the uniform nucleation and growth of ***,we demonstrate that the Edg-MoS2/C HMs can effectively regulate the deposition of Li2S and significantly improve the reversibility of the phase conversion of the active sulfur species,especially at high sulfur loadings and high *** a result,a cell containing a separator functionalized with Edg-MoS2/C HMs exhibited an initial discharge capacity of 935 mAh g-1 at 1.0 C and maintained a capacity of 494 mAh g-1 after 1000 cycles with a sulfur loading of 1.7 mg ***,at a high sulfur loading of 6.1 mg cm-2 and high rate of 0.5 C,the cell still delivered a high reversible discharge capacity of 478 mAh g-1 after 300 *** work provides fresh insights into energy storage systems related to complex phase conversions.

Magnetic Properties of XXZ Heisenberg Antiferromagnetic and Ferrimagnetic nanotubes

The spin-1/2 antiferromagnetic and spin-(1/2, 1) ferrimagnetic single-walled nanotubes are described by XXZ Heisenberg model. The sublattice magnetization and the critical temperature of the system are calculated by using the double-time spin Green's function method. At zero temperature, with the increase of the exchange interaction in the circumferential direction, a maximum value appears in the sublattice magnetization curves of antiferromagnetic and ferrimagnetic systems. As the diameter of the tube increases, the spin quantum fluctuations and thermal fluctuations are suppressed. In addition, the spin quantum fluctuation of the spin-1/2 antiferromagnetic system is greater than that of the spin-(1/2, 1) ferrimagnetic system. The critical temperature of the system increases firstly and then tends to a constant with the increase of the diameter of tube, and it decreases to zero as the exchange anisotropy of the system disappears.

Microwave-assisted One-pot Three-component Polymerization of Alkynes, Aldehydes and Amines toward Amino-functionalized Optoelectronic Polymers

We present a microwave-assisted one-pot polymerization with three-components of alkynes, aldehydes and amines for the synthesis of new amino-functionalized optoelectronic polymers. The polymerization of diynes （la-lc）, dialdehydes （2a and 2b） and dibenzylamine catalyzed by InC13 was carried out smoothly within 1 h under microwave radiation, yielding four soluble polymers with high molecular weights. The resulting polymers P1 and P2 could be easily dissolved in alcohol and thus utilized as the cathode interlayer for polymer solar cells （PSCs）. Compared with the control device, the PSCs with P1 and P2 as the cathode interlayer and PTB7-Th：PC71BM as the photoactive layer exhibited significantly higher power conversion efficiencies （PCEs） of 9.49% and 9.16%, respectively. These results suggest that this polycoupling reaction is an efficient approach to construct three-component polymers for the practical applications.
