Flax is a crucial fiber crop that exhibits excellent textile properties and serves as a model plant for investigating phloem fiber development. The regulation of multiple genes significantly influences fiber development, notably involving NAC(nam, ATAF1/2, CUC2) transcription factors in forming the fiber secondary cell wall(SCW).Overexpression of LuNAC61 in flax resulted in sparse top meristematic zone leaves and significantly reduced stem cellulose content. Scanning electron microscopy and staining observations revealed a significant reduction in fiber bundles. β-Glucuronidase(GUS) staining analysis demonstrated high activity of the LuNAC61 promoter in the bast fibers of the flax stem. Additionally, several members of the LuPLATZ and LuCesA families exhibited significant coexpression with LuNAC61. Subcellular localization indicated the presence of LuPLATZ24 protein in the nucleus and cytoplasm, LuNAC61 protein exclusively in the nucleus, and LuCesA10 in the nucleus and endoplasmic reticulum. LuPLATZ24 positively regulates LuNAC61, whereas LuNAC61 negatively affects LuCesA10, suggesting the involvement of a metabolic network in regulating flax fiber development. In conclusion, this study provides a critical opportunity for a comprehensive and in-depth analysis of the mechanisms governing flax fiber development and the potential use of biotechnology to enhance flax fiber yield.

Algal polysaccharides are an essential active substance in food nutrition and even pharmaceutical activity research due to wide sources， low toxicity， and no side effects. In our previous research， we identified the chemical structure and studied the immunomodulatory mechanism of the polysaccharide CRVP from edible green algae Caulerpa racemosa var. peltata. In this study， we further investigated the cytotoxicity and potential mechanism of CRVP against Hepa1-6 cells. Metabolomics analysis showed that CRVP might affect glutathione metabolism-related pathways. CRVP significantly up-regulated oxidized glutathione （GSSG） and down-regulated reduced glutathione （GSH） in Hepa1-6 cells， increasing the ratio of GSSG to GSH and intracellular reactive oxygen species. The potential anti-liver cancer mechanism is that CRVP may affect redox homeostasis and lead to apoptosis by inhibiting glutathione reductase or System Xc-. Based on the known immunomodulatory mechanism of CRVP， this study can provide a material basis for adjuvant therapeutic nutritional agents with immune-enhancing anti-cancer activity.

The prime standard for audio/video transport in IP networks is the Real-time Transport Protocol （RTP） and it is targeted at useful services for the transport of real-time multimedia data. RTP was originally designed for use in multicast conferences, using the lightweight sessions model. RTP （in particular, the data part） is so tightly coupled to the application that a number of people have developed libraries that implement RTP. However, little is known about the RTP overheads between user area and kernel area within operating systenl. Actually, unnecessary copying between user area and kernel area lowers the system efficiency. In this paper, we present the design and implementation of Enhanced Multimedia Input/Output Scheme based on LINUX. We brought focus to the crossover architecture supporting RTP. Our contributions are able to be summarized into two components： 1） Enhanced Input/Output （EIO） scheme based on LINUX improves the transmission speed by reducing the overheads generated from data copy and context switch between user area and kernel area. And this enables server-based system to transport multimedia data more efficiently. 2） Furthermore, Enhanced Input/Output scheme with RTP （EIORTP） scheme supports efficient multimedia data transmission architecture. The two schemes improve the performance of massive multimedia data transmission.

Automatic Discontinuity Classification of Wind-turbine Blades Using A-scan-based Convolutional Neural Network

Recent development trends in wind power generation have increased the importance of the safe operation of wind-turbine blades(WTBs). To realize this objective, it is essential to inspect WTBs for any defects before they are placed into operation. However, conventional methods of fault inspection in WTBs can be rather difficult to implement, since complex curvatures that characterize the WTB structures must ensure accurate and reliable inspection. Moreover, it is considered useful if inspection results can be objectively and consistently classified and analyzed by an automated system and not by the subjective judgment of an inspector. To address this concern,the construction of a pressure-and shape-adaptive phased-array ultrasonic testing platform, which is controlled by a nanoengine operation system to inspect WTBs for internal defects, has been presented in this paper. An automatic classifier has been designed to detect discontinuities in WTBs by using an A-scanimaging-based convolutional neural network(CNN). The proposed CNN classifier design demonstrates a classification accuracy of nearly 99%. Results of the study demonstrate that the proposed CNN classifier is capable of automatically classifying the discontinuities of WTB with high accuracy, all of which could be considered as defect candidates.

Laser-induced diffusion is employed to dope indium(In)into sputtering-deposited cadmium sulfide(CdS)thin *** increased optical band gap energy from 2.52 to 2.60 eV with maintenance of high optical transmittance about 60 nm in the 200-nm-thick films,the enhanced mobility over 42.5 cm^(2)/V·s,and the decreased resistivity to 1.42×10^(-3)Ω·cm are successfully obtained to be advantageous for a window layer in solar cells.

INTRODUCTIONSymmastia is defined as the medial confluence of both breasts or unification of the breasts by soft tissue on the sternum rendering them inseparable. It was first described in the plastic surgery literature by Spence et al. in 1984. Two forms of symmastia exist; acquired and congenital,Acquired symmastia is a very common condition that results as an iatrogenic complication of over-dissecting a pocket, or using implants with a diameter that is too large in proportion to the chest wall during breast augmentation or reconstruction.

We present a detailed pollen record and interpretations of late Pleistocene climatic change at the Chongphadae Cave Site, Democratic People's Republic of Korea. The mean annual paleotemperature and mean annual paleoprecipitation of the site were calculated using the temperature index and precipitation index based on ecological features and geographical distribution of each taxon. Temperature index and precipitation index range from 8.8℃ to 10.4℃ and from 805.0 mm to 963.1 mm, respectively. Four dates(radiocarbon, uranium series, fission track, and paleomagnetic excursion dating) of the deposit profile investigated yield a range of ~21.3 ka BP to ~117 ka BP, geochronologically corresponding to the late Pleistocene, and extend from the last interglacial highstand through the Last Glacial Maximum. Our results are thus consistent with the climatic shift from interglacial to glacial conditions, provide evidence that the environments of the region, which was reconstructed from the paleoclimatic index, changed from a mild and humid to a cool and dry climate during the late Pleistocene, and suggest trends similar to those of several parts of the Northern Hemisphere which lie in the same latitudinal zone as our study area.
