Recently,MXenes have attracted considerable attention owing to their unique physical and chemical *** of MXenes to three-dimensional(3D)porous aerogel structures can play a critical role in realizing the profound implications of MXenes,especially for environmental ***,developing mechanically robust MXene-based aerogels with reversible compressibility under harsh conditions,such as liquid environments,remains challenging due to the insufficient interfacial strength between MXene ***,3D porous MXene-based nanocomposite aerogels are developed by dual physical and chemical crosslinking strategy with poly(vinyl alcohol)and formaldehyde in this *** developed MXenebased nanocomposite aerogels with designed interfacial engineering exhibit outstanding structural stability and extremely high reversible compressibility up to 98%strain as well as unprecedented mechanical durability(2000 cycles at 50%strain)in water ***,the aerogels show adaptable compressibility when exposed to different solvents,which is explained with the Hansen solubility *** to their high compressibility in water,the robust MXene-based aerogels exhibit excellent methylene blue adsorption performance(adsorption capacity of 117.87 mg·g^(−1))and superior recycling efficiency(89.48%at the 3rd cycle).The porous MXene-based nanocomposite aerogels are also demonstrated with outstanding thermal insulation ***,by synergistically taking their porous structure and super elasticity in liquid environment,the MXene-based aerogels show great promise in diverse applications including adsorption and separation,wastewater purification desalination,and thermal management.

Facial defect coverage is a common subject in the field of reconstructive *** are many methods for facial defect reconstruction,and reconstructive surgeons should choose the most appropriate method on a case-by-case basis to achieve both functional and aesthetic *** various options for facial reconstruction,the local flap technique is considered the best reconstructive modality to provide good tissue matches of color and texture,which is consistent with the ideal goal of reconstruction(replacement of like-with-like).Keystone design perforator island flap(KDPIF),devised by Behan in 2003,has been applied to various fields of reconstructive surgery in the past decade due to its design simplicity,robust vascular supply,and *** studies have reported KDPIF reconstruction of facial defects,such as large parotid defects,small-to-moderate nasal defects,and eyelid ***,KDPIF has been used relatively less in facial defects than in other body regions,such as the trunk and *** purpose of this review is to provide an organized overview of facial KDPIF reconstruction including the classification of KDPIF,modifications,physiology,mechanism of flap movement,consideration of facial relaxed skin tension lines and aesthetics,surgical techniques,clinical applications,and precautions for successful execution of KDPIF reconstruction.

The construction of a homojunction is an effective approach for addressing issues such as slow charge separation and charge-transfer kinetics in *** the present work,we designed a gradient Si-and Ti-doped Fe_(2)O_(3) homojunction photoanode to improve the photoelectrochemical(PEC)performance of a Ti-doped Fe_(2)O_(3) ***-FeOOH nanocorals were synthesized using a hydrothermal process,and Si-FeOOH was grown on Ti-FeOOH nanocorals using a rapid and facile microwaveassisted(MW)*** varying the MW irradiation time,the thickness of the Si/Ti:Fe_(2)O_(3) photoanode was adjusted and an optimized 3-Si/Ti:Fe_(2)O_(3) photoelectrode was achieved with a significantly enhanced photocurrent density(1.37 mA cm^(-2) at 1.23 V ***)and a cathodic shift of the onset potential(150 mV)compared with that of bare Ti-Fe_(2)O_(3).This enhanced PEC performance can be ascribed to homojunction formation and Si gradient *** Si dopant increased the donor concentration and the formation of a homojunction improved the intrinsic built-in electric field,thereby promoting charge separation and charge ***,the as-formed homojunction passivated the surfacetrapping states,consequently improving the charge transfer efficiency(60%at 1.23 VRHE)at the photoanode/electrolyte *** findings could pave the way for the microwave-assisted fabrication of diverse efficient homojunction photoanodes for PEC water splitting applications.

Weak magnetic field（WMF） was employed to improve the removal of Cr（VI） by zero-valent iron（ZVI） for the first time. The removal rate of Cr（VI） was elevated by a factor of 1.12-5.89 due to the application of a WMF, and the WMF-induced improvement was more remarkable at higher Cr（VI） concentration and higher p H. Fe2＋was not detected until Cr（VI） was exhausted, and there was a positive correlation between the WMF-induced promotion factor of Cr（VI） removal rate and that of Fe2＋release rate in the absence of Cr（VI） at pH 4.0-5.5. These phenomena imply that ZVI corrosion with Fe2＋release was the limiting step in the process of Cr（VI） removal. The superimposed WMF had negligible influence on the apparent activation energy of Cr（VI） removal by ZVI, indicating that WMF accelerated Cr（VI）removal by ZVI but did not change the mechanism. The passive layer formed with WMF was much more porous than without WMF, thereby facilitating mass transport. Therefore,WMF could accelerate ZVI corrosion and alleviate the detrimental effects of the passive layer, resulting in more rapid removal of Cr（VI） by ZVI. Exploiting the magnetic memory of ZVI, a two-stage process consisting of a small reactor with WMF for ZVI magnetization and a large reactor for removing contaminants by magnetized ZVI can be employed as a new method of ZVI-mediated remediation.

A novel fabrication process for micro patterns with curvature was introduced. The curved structures were made by compensating rectangular micro structures with liquid photoresist layer. Because of the surface tension of the liquid in micro scale, various shapes of meniscus can he made on the micro channels. The micro channels were made on the silicon suhstrate in advance, and then the liquid layer was coated on the micro channels. From the nature of liquid behavior, the curved patterns with smooth surface are obtained, which cannot be made easily with the conventional mechanical machining, as well as with the microfabrication processes, such as wet and dry etching. With this principle, it is expected that the smooth and curved surfaces can be made by simple processes and the results can be applied widely, such as optical patterns.

AIM: To determine whether Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection confers a higher risk of Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD).METHODS: Healthy people who underwent health screening were analyzed retrospectively. Inclusion criteria were age ≥ 20 years, history of H. pylori infection, and recorded insulin level. Participants were classified as H. pylori positive or negative according to 13C urea breath tests. NAFLD was defined using the hepatic steatosis index (HSI) and NAFLD liver fat score (NAFLD-LFS). Those with an HSI > 36 or NAFLD-LFS > -0.640 were considered to have NAFLD. Multivariable logistic regression was performed to identify risk factors for ***: Three thousand six hundred and sixty-three people were analyzed and 1636 (44.7%) were H. pylori positive. H. pylori infection was associated with older age, male gender, hypertension, higher body mass index, and a dyslipidemic profile. HSI differed significantly between H. pylori positive and negative subjects (median 33.2, interquartile range (IQR) 30.0-36.2 for H. pylori-positive vs median 32.6, IQR 29.8-36.0 for negative participants, P = 0.005), but NAFLD-LSF did not [median -1.7, IQR -2.4 - -0.7 vs median -1.8, IQR -2.4-(-0.7), respectively, P = 0.122]. The percentage of people with NAFLD did not differ between infected and uninfected groups: HIS, 26.9% vs 27.1%, P = 0.173; NAFLD-LFS, 23.5% vs 23.1%, P = 0.778. H. pylori infection was not a risk factor, but C-reactive protein concentration and smoking were significant risk factors for ***: H. pylori infection is not a risk factor for NAFLD as indicated by HSI or NAFLD-LFS. Prospective, large-scale studies involving liver biopsies should be considered.

Existing segmentation and augmentation techniques on convolutional neural network(CNN)has produced remarkable progress in object ***,the nominal accuracy and performance might be downturned with the photometric variation of images that are directly ignored in the training process,along with the context of the individual CNN *** this paper,we investigate the effect of a photometric variation like brightness and sharpness on different *** observe that random augmentation of images weakens the performance unless the augmentation combines the weak limits of photometric *** approach has been justified by the experimental result obtained from the PASCAL VOC 2007 dataset,with object detection CNN algorithms such as YOLOv3(You Only Look Once),Faster R-CNN(Region-based CNN),and SSD(Single Shot Multibox Detector).Each CNN model shows performance loss for varying sharpness and brightness,ranging between−80%to 80%.It was further shown that compared to random augmentation,the augmented dataset with weak photometric changes delivered high performance,but the photometric augmentation range differs for each ***,we discuss some research questions that benefit the direction of the *** results prove the importance of adaptive augmentation for individual CNN model,subjecting towards the robustness of object detection.

Most cases of medial patella subluxation occur under iatrogenic conditions that are often associated with a prior excessive lateral retinacular release procedure. We report a case of medial subluxation following minor trauma with no history of previous lateral release. The abnormality was identified on magnetic resonance imaging and was successfully treated by direct repair of the lateral retinaculum. The recognition and treatment of medial subluxation of the patella without retinacular release can be difficult. Therefore, consideration of multiple causes through careful medical history taking, physical examination, and radiologic examination is needed for accurate diagnosis.
