Effect of alumina and silica nanocomposite based on polyacrylamide on light and heavy oil recovery in presence of formation water using micromodel

Increasing world request for energy has made oil extraction from reservoirs more desirable. Many novel EOR methods have been proposed and utilized for this purpose. Using nanocomposites in chemical flooding is one of these novel methods. In this study, we investigated the impact of six injection solutions on the recovery of light and heavy oil with the presence of two different brines as formation water using a homogenous glass micromodel. All of the injection solutions were based on a 40,000 ppm Na Cl synthetic seawater(SSW), one of which was additive free and the others were prepared by dispersing nanocomposite silica-based polyacrylamide(NCSP), nanocomposite alumina-based polyacrylamide(NCAP), the combination of both nanocomposites silica and alumina based on polyacrylamide(NCSAP),surfactant(CTAB) and polyacrylamide(PAM) with a concentration of 1000 ppm as additives. The Stability of nanocomposites was tested against the salinity of the brine and temperature using salinity and DSC tests which were successful. Alongside stability tests, IFT, contact angle and oil recovery measurements were made. Visual results revealed that in addition to the effect of silica and alumina nanocomposite in reducing interfacial tension and wettability alteration, control of mobility ratio caused a major improvement in sweeping efficiency and oil recovery. According to the sweeping behavior of injected fluids, it was found that the main effect of surfactant was wettability alteration, for polyacrylamide was mobility control and for nanocomposites was the reduction of interfacial tension between oil and injected fluid, which was completely analyzed and checked out. Also, NCSAP with 95.83% and 70.33% and CTAB with 84.35% and 91% have the highest light oil recoveries at 250,000 ppm and 180,000 ppm salinity, respectively which is related to the superposition effect of interactions between nanocomposites, solution and oil. Genome-wide identification,characterization and functional prediction of the SRS gene family in sesame(Sesamum indicum L.)

Sesame(Sesamum indicum L.)is an ancient oilseed crop of the Pedaliaceae family with high oil content and potential health *** RELATED SEQUENCE(SRS)proteins are the transcription factors(TFs)specific to plants that contain RING-like zinc finger domain and are associated with the regulation of several physiological and biochemical *** also play vital roles in plant growth and development such as root formation,leaf development,floral development,hormone biosynthesis,signal transduction,and biotic and abiotic stress ***,the SRS gene family was not reported in sesame *** this study,identification,molecular characterization,phylogenetic relationship,cis-acting regulatory elements,protein-protein interaction,syntenic relationship,duplication events and expression pattern of SRS genes were analyzed in *** identified total six SiSRS genes on seven different linkage groups in the *** genome by comparing with the other species,including the model plant Arabidopsis *** SiSRS genes showed variation in their structure like2–5 exons and 1–4 *** other species,SiSRS proteins also contained‘RING-like zinc finger'and‘LRP1'***,the SiSRS genes were clustered into subclasses via phylogenetic analysis with proteins of ***,***,and some other plant *** cis-acting regulatory elements analysis revealed that the promoter region of SiSRS4(SIN_1011561)showed the highest 13 and 16 elements for light-and phytohormone-responses whereas,SiSRS1(SIN_1015187)showed the highest 15 elements for *** ABREs,or ABA-responsive elements,were found in a maximum of 8 copies in the SiSRS3(SIN 1009100).Moreover,the available RNA-seq based expression of SiSRS genes revealed variation in expression patterns between stress-treated and non-treated samples,especially in drought and salinity conditions *** SiSRS genes like SiSRS1(SIN_1015187)and SiSRS5(SIN_1021065),also exhibited variabl

The study was carried out in Matiranga Upazila,Bandarban district,which is considered one of Bangladesh’s major hill tract *** study aimed to identify present farming conditions,prospects,and problems and suitable solutions to the problems of fish *** participatory rapid appraisal tools such as focus group discussion,field visits,and farmers’interviews were used to collect relevant fish farming information in the study *** polyculture method was the most practised aquaculture *** the selected farms,eleven fish species were identified as culture *** transportation cost for seeds purchased from remote areas was high(11%of total seed cost).The average transportation-related mortality of fish fry and fingerlings was 7.2%and 2.8%.Feed cost was found as the major cost(58.4%)in *** and revenue for fish production per decimal varied from BDT 311 to 3528 and BDT 23 to *** of vacant lake,youth and women engagement,integrated aquaculture,the desire of people to engage in aquaculture,and available human resources were found as significant *** major problems identified were lack of hatchery,high feed cost,lack of stakeholder linkage,lack of capital for fish farming,and lack of proper knowledge,guidelines,and consultancy for fish culture.A community-based aquaculture model was proposed to overcome the present challenges and problems in the study *** model may help to expand aquaculture and thus improve the livelihood and socio-economic status of the people of the hilly areas of Bangladesh.

Impact of Action Observation Therapy along with Usual Physiotherapy Intervention of Individual with Alzheimer’s Disease

Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by cognitive impairments in the initial stage, which lead to severe cognitive dysfunction in the later stage. Action observation therapy (AOT) is a multisensory cognitive rehabilitation technique where the patient initially observes the actions and then tries to perform. The study aimed to examine the impact of AOT along with usual physiotherapy interventions to reduce depression, improve cognition and balance of a patient with AD. A 67 years old patient with AD was selected for this study because the patient has been suffering from depression, dementia, and physical dysfunction along with some other health conditions like diabetes and hypertension. Before starting intervention, a baseline assessment was done through the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) tool, the Mini-Cog Scale, and the Berg Balance Scale (BBS). The patient received 12 sessions of AOT along with usual physiotherapy interventions thrice a week for four weeks, which included 45 minutes of each session. After four weeks of intervention, the patient demonstrated significant improvement in depression, cognition, and balance, whereas the BDI score declined from moderate 21/63 to mild 15/63 level of depression. The Mini-Cog score improved from 2/5 to 4/5, and the BBS score increased from 18/56 to 37/56. It is concluded that AOT along with usual physiotherapy intervention helps to reduce depression, improve cognition and balance of people with AD.

Investigation of phase-change materials for interior temperature regulation in public transport

Regulating the indoor temperature of public transport on hot sunny days is a prime concern,as both the external and internal heat sources play an active role in heat *** studies have been carried out on a bus model using sodium sulphate decahydrate as a phase-change material(PCM)that is placed in between the ceiling and the *** are conducted on a sunny day and also for different cases of external(300-W surface heater)and internal(25-W light bulb)heat *** results show that PCM,in the presence of an external heat source,can help to keep the indoor temperature lower and delay the time period for increasing the temperature by absorbing heat during the phase *** the other hand,the presence of the internal heat source contributes to a detrimental effect on the indoor temperature,which gradually increases with the elapse of *** the combination of the external and internal heat sources,it is found that the internal heat source plays a dominating factor to raise the indoor *** is revealed from the experimental results that a 12.7-mm single layer and a single PCM are not enough to counter the internal heat of 25 W unless the thickness of the PCM layer is increased to delay the increase in the indoor *** additional PCM layer with a lower melting temperature could be placed at the inner portion of the ceiling to have effective thermal-energy storage by absorbing the substantial heat gain from the internal heat sources.
