Background Brucellosis is a zoonotic affiction instigated by bacteria belonging to the genus Brucella and is charac-terized by a diverse range of pervasiveness,multiple transmission routes,and serious hazards.It is imperative to amal-gamate the current knowledge and identify gaps pertaining to the role of ticks in brucellosis transmission.Methods We systematically searched China national Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKi),WanFang,Google Scholar,and PubMed on the topic published until April 23,2022.The procedure was performed in accordance with the Sys-tematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Scoping Reviews(PRISMA-ScR)guidelines.The selected articles were categorized across three major topic areas,and the potential data was extracted to describe evidence-practice gaps by two reviewers.Results The search identifed 83 eligible studies for the final analyses.The results highlighted the potential capacity of ticks in brucellosis transmission as evidenced by the detection of Brucella in 16 different tick species.The pooled overall prevalence of Brucella in ticks was 33.87%(range:0.00-87.80%).The review also revealed the capability of Bru-cella to circulate in parasitic ticks'different developmental stages,thus posing a potential threat to animal and human health.Empirical evidence from in vitro rodent infection experiments has revealed that ticks possess the capability to transmit Brucella to uninfected animals(range:45.00-80.00%).Moreover,significant epidemiological associations have been found between the occurrence of brucellosis in animals and tick control in rangelands,which further suggests that ticks may serve as potential vectors for brucellosis transmission in ruminants.Notably,a mere three cases of human brucellosis resulting from potential tick bites were identified in search of global clinical case reports from 1963to 2019.Conclusions It is imperative to improve the techniques used to identify Brucella in ticks,particularly by developing a novel,efficient,precise approach that can be applied in a field

Nitrogen(N)deposition is a significant aspect of global change and poses a threat to terrestrial biodiversity.The impact of plant-soil microbe relationships to N deposition has recently attracted considerable attention.Soil microorganisms have been proven to provide nutrients for specific plant growth,especially in nutrient-poor desert steppe ecosystems.However,the effects of N deposition on plant-soil microbial community interactions in such ecosystems remain poorly understood.To investigate these effects,we conducted a 6-year N-addition field experiment in a Stipa breviflora Griseb.desert steppe in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region,China.Four N treatment levels(N0,N30,N50,and N100,corresponding to 0,30,50,and 100 kg N/(hm2•a),respectively)were applied to simulate atmospheric N deposition.The results showed that N deposition did not significantly affect the aboveground biomass of desert steppe plants.N deposition did not significantly reduce the alfa-diversity of plant and microbial communities in the desert steppe,and low and mediate N additions(N30 and N50)had a promoting effect on them.The variation pattern of plant Shannon index was consistent with that of the soil bacterial Chao1 index.N deposition significantly affected the beta-diversity of plants and soil bacteria,but did not significantly affect fungal communities.In conclusion,N deposition led to co-evolution between desert steppe plants and soil bacterial communities,while fungal communities exhibited strong stability and did not undergo significant changes.These findings help clarify atmospheric N deposition effects on the ecological health and function of the desert steppe.

Long-chain acyl-coenzyme A(CoA)synthase 4(ACSL4)is an enzyme that esterifies CoA into specific polyunsaturated fatty acids,such as arachidonic acid and adrenic acid.Based on accumulated evidence,the ACSL4-catalyzed biosynthesis of arachidonoyl-CoA contributes to the execution of ferroptosis by triggering phospholipid peroxidation.Ferroptosis is a type of programmed cell death caused by iron-dependent peroxidation of lipids;ACSL4 and glutathione peroxidase 4 positively and negatively regulate ferroptosis,respectively.In addition,ACSL4 is an essential regulator of fatty acid(FA)metabolism.ACSL4 remodels the phospholipid composition of cell membranes,regulates steroidogenesis,and balances eicosanoid biosynthesis.In addition,ACSL4-mediated metabolic reprogramming and antitumor immunity have attracted much attention in cancer biology.Because it facilitates the cross-talk between ferroptosis and FA metabolism,ACSL4 is also a research hotspot in metabolic diseases and ischemia/reperfusion injuries.In this review,we focus on the structure,biological function,and unique role of ASCL4 in various human diseases.Finally,we propose that ACSL4 might be a potential therapeutic target.

Metal batteries that directly use active metals as anodes are considered as one of the most promising solutions to achieve the energy upgrade of battery technologies,while their practical application still suffers from dendrite problems.Functional carbon materials(FCMs)have demonstrated their great potential in suppressing metal dendrites benefitting from the multiple merits such as chemical tunability and capability of multi-dimensional structure assembly.Here,we initiate a review to present the recent progress in employing FCMs to deal with dendrite problems.It focuses on the surface chemistry and multi-dimensional carbon material engineering,which systematically overcomes the problems through diverse methods,such as reinforcing desolvation,improving interface compatibility,homogenizing electric field,buffering volume expansion and lattice mismatch.In addition,we also refine the long-standing debate about whether surface defects in FCMs are beneficial to suppress the metal dendrites or not,especially in the non-aqueous electrolyte regime.Finally,the remaining challenges for utilizing FCMs to suppress metal dendrites and the possible solutions are proposed to guide the future development.

Peritoneal dialysis （PD） is an established form of renal replacement therapy. Long-term PD leads to morphologic and functional changes to the peritoneal membrane （PM）, which is defined as peritoneal fibrosis, a known cause of loss of peritoneal ultrafiltration capacity. Inflammation and angiogenesis are key events during the pathogenesis of peritoneal fibrosis. This review discusses the pathophysiology of peritoneal fibrosis and recent research progress on key fibrogenic molecular mechanisms in peritoneal inflammation and angiogenesis, including Toll-like receptor ligand-mediated, NOD-like receptor protein 3/interleukin-lp, vascular endothelial growth factor, and angiopoietin-2/Tie2 signaling pathways. Furthermore, novel strategies targeting peritoneal inflammation and angiogenesis to preserve the PM are discussed in depth.

Folate receptor alpha(FOLR1)is vital for cells ingesting folate(FA).FA plays an indispensable role in cell pro-liferation and survival.However,it is not clear whether the axis of FOLR1/FA has a similar function in viral replication.In this study,we used vesicular stomatitis virus(VSV)to investigate the relationship between FOLR1-mediated FA deficiency and viral replication,as well as the underlying mechanisms.We discovered that FOLR1 upregulation led to the deficiency of FA in HeLa cells and mice.Meanwhile,VSV replication was notably sup-pressed by FOLR1 overexpression,and this antiviral activity was related to FA deficiency.Mechanistically,FA deficiency mainly upregulated apolipoprotein B mRna editing enzyme catalytic subunit 3B(APOBEC3B)expression,which suppressed VSV replication in vitro and in vivo.In addition,methotrexate(MTX),an FA metabolism inhibitor,effectively inhibited VSV replication by enhancing the expression of APOBEC3B in vitro and in vivo.Overall,our present study provided a new perspective for the role of FA metabolism in viral infections and highlights the potential of MTX as a broad-spectrum antiviral agent against Rna viruses.

老年大学是实现积极老龄化的有效载体。由于社会制度、经济发展、文化基因、教育体制等因素的差异,不同国家与地区形成了各自独特的老年教育发展模式,如“自上而下”的法国模式、“自下而上”的英国模式、文化混合模式、基于社区的美国模式等多元发展模式。尽管老年大学的模式与运行机制不甚相同,但都体现了对积极老龄观的逻辑演绎。总结不同模式的老年大学在办学组织、管理模式、师资建设等方面的有益经验,旨在为我国老年大学的发展模式提供有效参照。

轻罪时代程序出罪的优化端赖于裁量不起诉的效能激活。裁量不起诉的理论基础在于起诉便宜主义,具有提升诉讼效率、节约诉讼资源、实现教育矫正目的等独特优势,但同时蕴含着自由裁量权的滥用风险。2014-2023年实证数据表明,裁量不起诉整体适用率和占不起诉比率呈现“双提升”态势,但仍未摆脱“圆柱体”起诉格局,且存在附条件不起诉适用悖论、裁量不起诉内部关系含混等困境,其成因在于教义学之孱弱和配套环境之制约。应从本体论、关系论和系统论三重维度重塑裁量不起诉体系。酌定不起诉应摆脱对实体法的形式依赖并引入需罚性判断,附条件不起诉应取消主体范围限制。应将实现法益恢复所需的考察方式和时限作为区分不起诉类型的依据,并引入合作共治理念和多元主体参与,实现裁量不起诉的环境优化和监督制约。由此,裁量不起诉的困境得以破解,对于实现中国式轻罪治理现代化具有重要意义。

缩小企业内部薪酬差距对缓解收入不平等和实现共同富裕具有重要意义。本文基于2010—2020年中国A股上市公司数据,运用双重差分模型实证检验了公平竞争审查制度对企业内部薪酬差距的影响及其作用机制。研究结果显示:公平竞争审查制度缩小了企业内部薪酬差距,其对高管平均薪酬有显著负向影响,而对普通员工平均薪酬的影响不显著;公平竞争审查制度对企业内部薪酬差距的影响在非国有企业、高管持股比例较高企业和产业政策扶持行业的企业更明显;公平竞争审查制度通过促进市场竞争、规范政府补贴和规范税收优惠缩小企业内部薪酬差距;公平竞争审查制度对企业内部薪酬差距的影响是通过缩小超额薪酬差距实现的。本文丰富了企业内部薪酬差距影响因素方面的研究,也为进一步探索企业内部薪酬差距的治理机制提供了新视角。
