By extending the classical analysis techniques due to Samokish, Faddeev and Faddee- va, and Longsine and McCormick among others, we prove the convergence of the precon- ditioned steepest descent with implicit deflation （PSD-id） method for solving Hermitian- definite generalized eigenvalue problems. Furthermore, we derive a nonasymptotie estimate of the rate of convergence of the PSD-id method. We show that with a proper choice of the shift, the indefinite shift-and-invert preconditioner is a locally accelerated preconditioner, and is asymptotically optimal which leads to superlinear convergence numerical examples are presented to verify the theoretical results on the convergence behavior of the PSD- id method for solving ill-conditioned Hermitian-definite generalized eigenvalue problems arising from electronic structure calculations. While rigorous and full-scale convergence proofs of preconditioned block steepest descent methods in practical use still largely eludes us, we believe the theoretical results presented in this paper shed light on an improved understanding of the convergence behavior of these block methods.

Immunoglobulin M(IgM)and immunoglobulin G(IgG)antibodies are important biomarkers used for the diagnosis and screening of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)infections in both symptomatic and asymptomatic *** antibodies are highly specific to the spike(S)and nucleocapsid(n)proteins of the SARS-CoV-2 *** paper outlines the development steps of a novel hybrid(vertical-lateral-vertical)flow assay in the form of a finger-stick point-of-care device,similar to an adhesive bandage,designed for the timely detection and screening of IgM and IgG immune responses to SARS-CoV-2 *** assay,comprising a vertically stacked plasma/serum separation membrane,conjugate pad,and detection(readout)zone,utilizes gold nanoparticles(AunPs)conjugated with SARS-CoV-2 S and n proteins to effectively capture IgM and IgG antibodies from a pinprick(~15µL)of blood in just one step and provides results of no immune IgM−/IgG−,early immune IgM+/IgG−,active immune IgM+/IgG+or immune IgM−/IgG+in a short amount of time(minutes).The adhesive bandage-like construction is an example of the design of rapid,low-cost,disposable,and easy-to-use tests for large-scale detection and screening in ***,the bandage can be easily adjusted and optimized to detect different viral infections as they arise by simply selecting appropriate antigens related to pandemics and outbreaks.

The ubiquitin-proteasome proteolysis pathway is responsible for the degradation of abnormal and short-lived proteins to regulate many important biochemical activities in eukaryotes. By employing affymetrix microarray analysis, we have identified a novel ubiquitin ligase E3 gene GhRInG2 that is differentially expressed between two Gossypium hirsutum lines-Texas Marker-1 (TM-1) and Chromosome Substitution Line CS-B25. The CS-B25 line has chromosome 25 from G. barbadense substituted into TM-1. The complete nucleotide sequences of GhRInG2 along with its 5’-flanking region were obtained by genomic walking. GhRInG2 was highly expressed in elongating fiber, and GUS expression directed by the GhRInG2 promoter was found in hypocotyls and young stems of transgenic Arabidopsis plants. Using a yeast two-hybrid assay GhRInG2 was found to interact with a PROTODERMAL FACTOR1 (GhPDF1) protein. GhPDF1 was expressed preferentially in immature ovules and fiber initials, and the GhPDF1 gene had been suggested to play a role in cell fate determination and fiber development. Pull down and plasmid swap assays further confirmed the interaction between GhRInG2 and GhPDF1. The expression and protein interaction data indicate that GhRInG2 may be involved in the turnover of GhPDF1 and participation in the transition from initiation to elongation stages during fiber development. Our data strongly suggest that the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway may regulate cotton fiber growth and development. The nucleotide sequence data of GhRInG2 in this article have been submitted to the Gen Bank nucleotide Sequence Data Bases under the accession number BankIt 1,742,008 SeqKM 108,000.

In this paper, Fuzzy-Taguchi Method has been used to identify the optimal combination of influential factors by analyzing the multi responses in the face milling. Milling experiment has been performed on AMMC (Aluminium Metal Matrix Composite), according to Taguchi orthogonal array (L27) for various combinations of influential parameters: speed, feed, depth of cut and coolant. Fuzzy logic is applied for the analysis of experimental response data of vibrations, temperature, surface roughness and resultant forces. The Fuzzy grade is calculated from this data and Fuzzy grade is optimized using Taguchi method in order to get the optimal parameter values, and also influence of parameters on individual responses is studied using Taguchi S/n ratio analysis. This work is useful for analysis of machining parameters in face milling.
