Enhanced heavy and extra heavy oil recovery: Current status and new trends

Due to the increased demand for energy resources these days, especially due to the Russian-Ukrainian war, the focus of the major countries is turning strongly towards improving oil production, especially heavy and extra heavy oil, which represents 40% of the world oil reserve. Steam-based and thermal (EOR) procedures are promising techniques for recovering heavy oil reservoirs, but they suffer from a sequence of problems and complications that arise after long-term application. These complications comprise steam breakthrough, steam overlap, and steam/rock interactions. This research presents the currently applied techniques to maximize the productivity of heavy oil, such as steam injection, cyclic steam stimulation, in-situ combustion, and steam-assisted gravity drainage. Thermal technologies face numerous obstacles, as they are energy and water-intensive processes that are not environmentally friendly. The research also presents future trends in energy-saving and environmentally friendly techniques that enhance heavy oil recovery through vapor extraction (VAPEX) steam-solvent hybrid techniques, electromagnetic energy, sonication, and nanotechnology. The findings of this review reported that all the presented techniques focus on how to reduce the oil viscosity and in-situ upgrade the crude oil properties. In turn, these enhance both the productivity rate and oil recovery and minimize the production cost. This article can be considered a comprehensive review of thermal recovery methods in heavy and extra-heavy oil, in addition to screening criteria used for each method. Side lobe level reduction(SLL)of antenna arrays significantly enhances the signal-to-interference ratio and improves the quality of service(QOS)in recent and future wireless communication systems starting from 5G up to ***,it improves the array gain and directivity,increasing the detection range and angular resolution of radar *** study proposes two highly efficient SLL reduction *** techniques are based on the hybridization between either the single convolution or the double convolution algorithms and the genetic algorithm(GA)to develop the Conv/GA andDConv/GA,*** convolution process determines the element’s excitations while the GA optimizes the element *** M elements linear antenna array(LAA),the convolution of the excitation coefficients vector by itself provides a new vector of excitations of length n=(2M−1).This new vector is divided into three different sets of excitations including the odd excitations,even excitations,and middle excitations of lengths M,M−1,andM,*** the same element spacing as the original LAA is used,it is noticed that the odd and even excitations provide a much lower SLL than that of the LAA but with amuch wider half-power beamwidth(HPBW).While the middle excitations give the same HPBWas the original LAA with a relatively higher *** the increased HPBWof the odd and even excitations,the element spacing is optimized using the ***,the synthesized arrays have the same HPBW as the original LAA with a two-fold reduction in the ***,for extreme SLL reduction,the DConv/GA is *** this technique,the same procedure of the aforementioned Conv/GA technique is performed on the resultant even and odd excitation *** provides a relatively wider HPBWthan the original LAA with about quad-fold reduction in the SLL.

The utilisation of oil palm fibre(OPF)and pineapple leaf fibres(PALF)as reinforcement materials for bio-phenolic composites is growing especially in automotive lightweight *** major aim of this current study is to investigate the influence of alkali(Ca(OH)_(2)) treatment on pure and hybrid *** effects of enhancements in chemical interactions were evaluated by the Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectrometer(FTIR).Dynamic Mechanical Analysis(DMA)and Thermogravimetric Analysis(TGA)performance of untreated reinforcements(OPF and PALF)and treated(OPF/OPF)composites at varying temperature and noted sufficient interfacial bonding contributing towards the improvements in thermal *** DMA results,the storage modulus improved with treated composites while the damping factor was ***,the treated hybrid composites exhibited significant improvements in thermal stability compared to untreated fibre *** results indicated that alkali calcium hydroxide(Ca(OH2(:T)incorporation in hybrid composites(OPF/PALF)results in increased tensile strength and modulus among all ***,the alkali-treated(Ca(OH)_(2))-treated pure composite(T/50%PALF),and hybrid composites(T/1OPF.1PALF)exhibited better flexural strength as compared with other *** contrast,the T/50%PALF showed higher flexural stress of 78.2 MPa,while the flexural modulus was recorded at 6503 *** can be proposed from the findings of this study that the alkali treatment(5%Ca(OH)_(2))can be utilised to improve the strength and efficiency of agriculture biomass to be used as reinforcements in ***,the hybridisation of bio-fibre composites has the potential as a novel variety of biodegradable and sustainable composites appropriate for several industrial and engineering applications.

nTRU_SSS:Anew Method Signcryption Post Quantum Cryptography Based on Shamir’s Secret Sharing

With the advent of quantum computing,numerous efforts have been made to standardize post-quantum cryptosystems with the intention of(eventually)replacing Elliptic Curve Cryptography(ECC)and Rivets-Shamir-Adelman(RSA).A modified version of the traditional n-Th Degree Truncated Polynomial Ring(nTRU)cryptosystem called nTRU Prime has been developed to reduce the attack *** this paper,the Signcryption scheme was proposed,and it is most efficient than others since it reduces the complexity and runs the time of the code execution,and at the same time,provides a better security degree since it ensures the integrity of the sent message,confidentiality of the data,forward secrecy when using refreshed parameters for each *** to prevent the man-in-the-middle attack from being active or passive,and non-repudiation when the sender can’t deny the recently sent *** study aims to create a novel nTRU cryptography algorithm system that takes advantage of the security features of curve fitting operations and the valuable characteristics of chaotic *** proposed algorithm combines the(nTRU Prime)and Shamir’s Secret Sharing(SSS)features to improve the security of the nTRU encryption and key generation stages that rely on robust polynomial *** on experimental results and a comparison of the time required for crucial exchange between nTRU-SSS and the original nTRU,this study shows a rise in complexity with a decrease in execution time in the case when compared to the original ***’s encouraging to see signs that the suggested changes to the nTRU work to increase accuracy and efficiency.

Data Analytics for the Identification of Fake Reviews Using Supervised Learning

Fake reviews,also known as deceptive opinions,are used to mislead people and have gained more importance *** is due to the rapid increase in online marketing transactions,such as selling and purchasing.E-commerce provides a facility for customers to post reviews and comment about the product or service when *** customers usually go through the posted reviews or comments on the website before making a purchase ***,the current challenge is how new individuals can distinguish truthful reviews from fake ones,which later deceives customers,inflicts losses,and tarnishes the reputation of *** present paper attempts to develop an intelligent system that can detect fake reviews on ecommerce platforms using n-grams of the review text and sentiment scores given by the *** proposed methodology adopted in this study used a standard fake hotel review dataset for experimenting and data preprocessing methods and a term frequency-Inverse document frequency(TF-IDF)approach for extracting features and their *** detection and classification,n-grams of review texts were inputted into the constructed models to be classified as fake or ***,the experiments were carried out using four different supervised machine-learning techniques and were trained and tested on a dataset collected from the Trip Advisor *** classification results of these experiments showed that na飗e Bayes(nB),support vector machine(SVM),adaptive boosting(AB),and random forest(RF)received 88%,93%,94%,and 95%,respectively,based on testing accuracy and tje *** obtained results were compared with existing works that used the same dataset,and the proposed methods outperformed the comparable methods in terms of accuracy.

Preparation and Characterization of Oligomer from Recycled PET and Evaluated as a Corrosion Inhibitor for C-Steel Material in 0.1 M HCl

Polyethylene terephthalate waste (PET) was depolymerized by thiodiglycol into thioglycolyzed product. The product was characterized by FTIR and 1HnMR spectroscopy and the thermal properties (TGA, DTA) showed that the prepared compound was thermally stable until 250°C. The efficiency of the prepared corrosion inhibitor for carbon steel was measured by using acid media (0.1 HCl) as corrosive environment and the inhibitor concentration was (0, 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 ppm). The electrochemical technique used Tafel plot to measure the efficiency of inhibitor. Factors effect on the rate of corrosion like temperature (298, 308, 318, 328 K) and concentration (10, 20, 30, 40, 50 ppm) of inhibitor were studied. From the obtained results many factors were calculated that determined the efficiency of the inhibitor like corrosion rate, charge transfer resistance and inhibitor efficiency. It was observed that the corrosion rate and charge transfer of the carbon steel for the inhibitor increase with increase of temperature and decrease with increase of the inhibitor concentration in the same temperature. The results showed that the inhibitor had high inhibition in reducing the corrosion rate. The inhibition efficiency (% IE) reached 97.1% for the 40 ppm concentration at 308 K.

Software needs modifications and requires revisions *** to these revisions,retesting software becomes essential to ensure that the enhancements made,have not affected its bug-free *** time and cost incurred in this process,need to be reduced by the method of test case selection and *** is observed that many nature-inspired techniques are applied in this *** Buffalo Optimization is one such approach,applied to regression test selection and *** this paper,the proposed work explains and proves the applicability of the African Buffalo Optimization approach to test case selection and *** proposed algorithm converges in polynomial time(O(n^(2))).In this paper,the empirical evaluation of applying African Buffalo Optimization for test case prioritization is done on sample data set with multiple *** astounding 62.5%drop in size and a 48.57%drop in the runtime of the original test suite were *** obtained results are compared with Ant Colony *** comparative analysis indicates that African Buffalo Optimization and Ant Colony Optimization exhibit similar fault detection capabilities(80%),and a reduction in the overall execution time and size of the resultant test *** results and analysis,hence,advocate and encourages the use of African Buffalo Optimization in the area of test case selection and prioritization.

This article shows the quality of services in a wireless swarm of drones that form an ad hoc network between them Fly Ad Hoc networks(FAnET).Each drone has the ability to send and receive information(like a router);and can behave as a hierarchical node whit the intregration of three protocols:Multiprotocol Label Switch(MPLS),Fast Hierarchical AD Hoc Mobile(FHAM)and Internet Protocol version 6(IPv6),in conclusion MPLS+FHAM+*** metrics analyzed in the FAnET are:delay,jitter,throughput,lost and sent packets/*** process was carried out with swarms composed of 10,20,30 and 40 units;In this work,the stage with 40 droneswas analyzed showing registration processes,and sentmessages sequences between different drones that were part of the same swarm.A special analysis about the traffic between drones(end-to-end)was carried out,as well as the possible security flaws in each drone and the current status and future trends in real *** future trends,in a real environment,we took as a starting point,metrics results obtained in the simulation(positive according to the obtained results).These results gave us a clear vision of how the network will behave in a real environment with the aim to carry out the experiment on a physical level in the near *** work also shows the experience quality from the service quality metrics obtained through a mathematical *** quality of experience model will allow us to use it objectively in the agricultural sector,which is a great interest area and is where we are working with *** in this article we show our advances for a business model applied to the aforementioned agricultural sector,as well as the data analysis and services available to the end *** services available to the end customer have been classified into a basic,medium,advanced and plus level.
