Regulatory potential of soil available carbon,nitrogen,and functional genes on n_(2)O emissions in two upland plantation systems

Dynamic nitrification and denitrification processes are affected by changes in soil redox conditions,and they play a vital role in regulating soil n_(2)O emissions in rice-based *** is imperative to understand the influences of different upland crop planting systems on soil n_(2)O *** this study,we focused on two representative rotation systems in Central China:rapeseed–rice(RR)and wheat–rice(WR).We examined the biotic and abiotic processes underlying the impacts of these upland plantings on soil n_(2)O *** results revealed that during the rapeseed-cultivated seasons in the RR rotation system,the average n_(2)O emissions were 1.24±0.20 and 0.81±0.11 kg n ha^(–1)for the first and second seasons,*** values were comparable to the n_(2)O emissions observed during the first and second wheat-cultivated seasons in the WR rotation system(0.98±0.25 and 0.70±0.04 kg n ha^(–1),respectively).This suggests that upland cultivation has minimal impacts on soil n_(2)O emissions in the two rotation *** positive correlations were found between n_(2)O fluxes and soil ammonium(nH_(4)^(+)),nitrate(nO_(3)^(–)),microbial biomass nitrogen(MBn),and the ratio of soil dissolved organic carbon(DOC)to nO_(3)^(–)in both RR and WR rotation ***,the presence of the AOA-amoA and nirK genes were positively associated with soil n_(2)O fluxes in the RR and WR systems,*** implies that these genes may have different potential roles in facilitating microbial n_(2)O production in various upland plantation *** using a structural equation model,we found that soil moisture,mineral n,MBn,and the AOA-amoA gene accounted for over 50%of the effects on n_(2)O emissions in the RR rotation *** the WR rotation system,soil moisture,mineral n,MBn,and the AOA-amoA and nirK genes had a combined impact of over 70%on n_(2)O *** findings demonstrate the interactive effects of functional genes and soil factors,including

Quality and Crop Yield Potential of Moderately Degraded Alfisols Under Different nutrient Inputs and Cropping Patterns

Crop performance on degraded soil needs special management practices to overcome soil quality limitations. In a 2-year(from summer 2006 to winter 2007–2008) field trial on a moderately degraded Alfisol in Swabi District(34°7′12′′n, 72°28′20′′E), Pakistan,the effects of three cropping patterns, cereal-cereal(CC), cereal-legume(CL), and cereal-cereal and legume intercrop(CLI), were tested in main plots under four fertilization treatments in sub-plots, including no fertilization(control), farmers' practice(FP, 60:45 kg ha^(-1) n:P_2O_5), recommended dose(RD, 120:90:60 kg ha^(-1) n:P_2O_5:K_2O), and integrated nutrient management(InM, 20 t ha^(-1) farmyard manure integrated with 50% n, 100% P, and K of recommended dose), using a split-plot randomized complete block design. The performance of CL was superior than CC in plant height, leaf area index(LAI), cob length, grain yield, biological yield, and grain protein(8%, 26%, 8%, 5%, 10%, and 8% increases, respectively), while CLI confirmed significant improvement only in LAI(25%) over CC. Response to nutrient inputs from all sources was in the order of InM > RD > FP > control, and the maximum net economic return by InM(23% and 2.5 times higher than RD and FP, respectively) indicated severe deficiency of both macro-and micro-nutrients in the soil as well as degraded physical properties. Increases in soil organic matter, total n, total mineral n, available P and K, total porosity, and available water-holding capacity by 6%, 34%, 24%, 50%, 13%, 5%, and 7%, respectively, and decrease in soil bulk density by 4% after four crop seasons indicated optimistic changes in soil quality as a result of the combined effects of fertilization from organic and inorganic sources and legumes within crop rotation. COVID-19 is a pandemic that has affected nearly every country in the *** present,sustainable development in the area of public health is considered vital to securing a promising and prosperous future for ***,widespread diseases,such as COVID-19,create numerous challenges to this goal,and some of those challenges are not yet *** this study,a Shallow Single-Layer Perceptron neural network(SSLPnn)and Gaussian Process Regression(GPR)model were used for the classification and prediction of confirmed COVID-19 cases in five geographically distributed regions of Asia with diverse settings and environmental conditions:namely,China,South Korea,Japan,Saudi Arabia,and *** environmental and non-environmental features were taken as the input dataset,and confirmed COVID-19 cases were taken as the output dataset.A correlation analysis was done to identify patterns in the cases related to fluctuations in the associated *** results of this study established that the population and air quality index of a region had a statistically significant influence on the ***,age and the human development index had a negative influence on the *** proposed SSLPnn-based classification model performed well when predicting the classes of confirmed *** training,the binary classification model was highly accurate,with a Root Mean Square Error(RMSE)of ***,the results of the regression analysis using the GPR technique with Matern 5/2 were highly accurate(RMSE=0.95239)when predicting the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in an ***,dynamic management has occupied a core place in studies on the sustainable development of public health but dynamic management depends on proactive strategies based on statistically verified approaches,like Artificial Intelligence(AI).In this study,an SSLPnn model has been trained to fit public health associated data into an appropriate class,allowing GPR to predict the number of confir

In this paper,the dust particle surface potential for argon-helium plasma is evaluated analytically and numerically in the context of negatively charged dust particles by employing a power-law(r,q)-distribution *** studies have reported the argon-helium plasma and conducted a brief theoretical and experimental *** deepen our understanding further,this study aims to analyze the argon-helium plasma comprehensively using the same pattern but with the(r,q)-distribution *** this purpose,the current balance equations are derived for electron,helium and argon ions,when these charge species attain the quasineutrality *** numerically examined the currents of plasma species for a broad range of effective distribution function parameters r and *** is revealed that the surface potential of dust particles is significantly affected by the parameters r and q,helium ion-to-electron temperature ratio,argon ion-to-electron temperature ratio,and helium ion to argon ion number density *** incorporating the multi-ion(argon-helium)species,the significance of low-temperature nonMaxwellian dusty(complex)plasma is briefly examined.

Dual solutions in MHD stagnation-point flow of Prandtl fluid impinging on shrinking sheet

The present article investigates the dual nature of the solution of the magneto- hydrodynamic （MHD） stagnation-point flow of a Prandtl fluid model towards a shrinking surface. The self-similar nonlinear ordinary differential equations are solved numerically by the shooting： method. It is found that the dual solutions of the flow exist for cer- tain values of tile velocity ratio parameter. The special case of the first branch solutions （the classical newtonian fluid model） is compared with the present numerical results of stretching flow. The results are found to be in good agreement. It is also shown that the boundary layer thickness for the second solution is thicker than that for the first solution.

Application of Metaheuristic Algorithms for Optimizing Longitudinal Square Porous Fins

The objectives of this study involve the optimization of longitudinal porous fins of square cross-section using metaheuristic algorithms.A generalized nonlinear ordinary differential equation is derived using Darcy and Fourier’s laws in the energy balance around a control volume and is solved numerically using RFK 45 *** temperature of the base surface is higher than the fin surface,and the fin tip is kept adiabatic or cooled by convection heat *** other pertinent parameters include Rayleigh number(100≤Ra≤10^(4)),Darcy number,(10^(−4)≤Da≤10^(−2)),relative thermal conductivity ratio of solid phase to fluid(1000≤kr≤8000),nusselt number(10≤nu≤100),porosity(0.1≤φ≤0.9).The impacts of these parameters on the entropy generation rate are investigated and optimized using metaheuristic *** computer science,metaheuristic algorithms are one of the most widely used techniques for optimization *** this research,three metaheuristic algorithms,including the firefly algorithm(FFA),particle swarm algorithm(PSO),and hybrid algorithm(FFAPSO)are employed to examine the performance of square *** is demonstrated that FFA-PSO takes fewer iterations and less computational time to converge compared to other algorithms.

Comparative study of living donor kidney transplants:Right vs left

BACKGROUnD Transplant teams often hesitate to use the right kidney(RK)in living donor(LD)transplants due to the complexities of anastomosing the short,thin-walled right renal veins,which can potentially lead to graft loss or graft ***,circumstances may arise where selecting the RK over the left kidney(LK)is ***,it is crucial to thoroughly examine the implications of such a choice on the overall transplant *** To compare transplant outcomes between recipients of RK and LK while examining the factors that influence these *** We retrospectively analyzed data from adult patients who received LD kidney transplants involving meticulous patient selection and surgical techniques at our center from January 2020 to December *** included all kidney donors who were over 18,fit to donate,and had undergone diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid split function and/or computed tomography based *** variables examined comprised donor and recipient demographics,and outcome measures included technical graft loss(TGL),delayed or slow graft function(SGF),and post-transplant serum creatinine(SC)*** used a logistic regression model to assess the likelihood of adverse outcomes considering the donor kidney *** Of the 250 transplants performed during the period,56(22%)were *** recipient demographics and transplant factors were comparable for the right and LKs,except that the donor warm and cold ischemia time were shorter for *** and SGF each occurred in 2%(n=1)of RKs and 0.5%(n=1)of LKs,the difference being *** complications,however,were not related to the venous *** RK(2%)developed delayed graft function after 48 hours,which was attributable to postoperative hypoxia rather than the surgical *** post-transplant SC trend and mean SC at the last follow-up were similar across both kidney *** The donor kidney side has little impact on post-transplant

A novel deamination of 2-alkyl/aryl 3-amino-4（3H）-quinazolinones series using aqueous KMnO4 under thermal condition and microwave irradiation is described. Compared to thermal condition, significantly higher yields in much shorter times were observed for reactions under microwave irradiation. A plausible mechanism has been proposed for the oxidative water-promoted deamination.

An Analogy of Clifford Decomposition Theorem for Abel-Grassmann Groupoids

Let S be an inverse AG-groupoid （Abel-Grassmann groupoid） and define a relation γ on S by aγb if and only if there exist some positive integers n and m such that bm∈ （Sa）S and an∈ （Sb）S. We prove that S/γ is a maximal semilattice homomorphic image of S. Thus, every inverse AG-groupoid S is uniquely expressible as a semilattice Y of some Archimedean inverse AG-groupoids Sα （α∈ Y）. Our result can be regarded as an analogy of the well known Clifford theorem in semigroups for AG-groupoids.
