AIM To compare the prevalence of chronic liver disease(CLD) risk factors in a representative sample of MexicanAmericans born in the United States(US) or Mexico, to a sample of adults in *** Data for Mexican-Americans in the US were obtained from the 1999-2014 national Health and nutrition Examination Survey(nHAnES), which includes persons of Mexican origin living in the US(n = 4274). The nHAnES sample was restricted to Mexican-American participants who were 20 years and older, born in the US or Mexico, not pregnant or breastfeeding, and with medical *** data in Mexico were obtained from the 2004-2013 Health Worker Cohort Study in Cuernavaca, Mexico(n =9485). The following known risk factors for liver disease/cancer were evaluated: elevated aminotransferase levels(elevated alanine aminotransferase was defined as > 40 IU/L for males and females; elevated aspartate aminotransferase was defined as > 40 IU/L for males and females), infection with hepatitis B or hepatitis C,metabolic syndrome, high total cholesterol, diabetes,obesity, abdominal obesity, and heavy alcohol use. The main independent variables for this study classified individuals by country of residence(i.e., Mexico vs the US) and place of birth(i.e., US-born vs Mexico-born).Regression analyses were used to investigate CLD risk *** After adjusting for socio-demographic characteristics,Mexican-American males were more likely to be obese,diabetic, heavy/binge drinkers or have abdominal obesity than males in Mexico. The adjusted multivariate results for females also indicate that Mexican-American females were significantly more likely to be obese, diabetic, be heavy/binge drinkers or have abdominal obesity than Mexican females. The prevalence ratios and prevalence differences mirror the multivariate analysis findings for the aforementioned risk factors, showing a greater risk among US-born as compared to Mexico-born MexicanAmericans. Magnesium metal and its alloys are being developed as effective orthopedic implants;however,the mechanisms underlying the actions of magnesium on bones remain *** fibrosis,the most common genetic disease in Caucasians caused by the mutation of CFTR,has shown bone disorder as a key clinical manifestation,which currently lacks effective therapeutic *** we report that implantation of magnesium-containing implant stimulates bone formation and improves bone fracture healing in CFTR-mutant ***/β-catenin signaling in the bone is enhanced by the magnesium implant,and inhibition of Wnt/β-catenin by iCRT14 blocks the magnesium implant to improve fracture healing in CFTR-mutant *** further demonstrate that magnesium ion enters osteocytes,increases intracellular cAMP level and activates ATF4,a key transcription factor known to regulate Wnt/β-catenin *** vivo knockdown of ATF4 abolishes the magnesium implant-activated β-catenin in bones and reverses the improved-fracture healing in CFTR-mutant *** addition,oral supplementation of magnesium activates ATF4 and β-catenin as well as enhances bone volume and density in CFTR-mutant ***,these results show that magnesium implantation or supplementation may serve as a potential anabolic therapy for cystic fibrosis-related bone *** of ATF4-dependent Wnt/β-catenin signaling in osteocytes is identified as a previously undefined mechanism underlying the beneficial effect of magnesium on bone formation.

Transcription factor networks have evolved in order to control, coordinate, and separate, the functions of distinct network modules spatially and temporally. In this review we focus on the MYC network （also known as the MAX-MLX network）, a highly conserved super-family of related basic-helix-loop-helix-zipper （bHLHZ） proteins that functions to integrate extracellular and intracellular signals and modulate global gene expression. Importantly the MYC network has been shown to be deeply involved in a broad spectrum of human and other animal cancers. Here we summarize molecular and biological properties of the network modules with emphasis on functional interactions among network members. We suggest that these network interactions serve to modulate growth and metabolism at the transcriptional level in order to balance nutrient demand with supply, to maintain growth homeostasis, and to influence cell fate. Moreover, oncogenic activation of MYC and/or loss of a MYC antagonist, results in an imbalance in the activity of the network as a whole, leading to tumor initiation, progression and maintenance.

对 1 0 0 0 MW级大型汽轮发电机冷却系统进行了研究 ,给出了转子绕组本体部分各匝导体通风道的局部阻力系数和沿程阻力系数的计算方法 .以一台 93 0 MW汽轮发电机为例 ,建立了转子绕组本体部分节点单元热阻等效网络的准三维热模型 ,从而可以计算出转子各匝导体的风量、流速和每匝导体各单元的温度 ,以及转子绕组本体部分的平均温度和最高温度 .通过计算结果与试验结果的比较。

Paleogeography can be reconstructed using various crust-or mantle-based reference frames that make fundamentally different *** various reconstruction models differ significantly in continental paleolongitude,but it has been difficult to assess which models are more *** suggest here a "LLSVP test",where an assumed correlation between present-day large low velocity shear-wave provinces and the paleogeography of supercontinent Pangea at breakup ca.200 million years ago can be used to assess the relative accuracy of published *** correlations between continental paleolongitude and the African LLSVP are achieved with mantle-based reference frames(moving hotspots and true polar wander),whereas shallower crustbased reference frames are shown to be *** relative success of mantle-based frames,and thus the importance of the depth of reference frame,supports the notion that mantle convection is largely vertical compared to the horizontal plate motion of tectonics.

本文采用影响函数的计算机方法,深入研究美国南犹他州燃料公司（SUF）煤矿地表的沉陷和变形。除考虑了由于靠近盘区回采边界的上复岩层,崩落不充分造成的“补偿区”与原先的老采区的影响外,着重考虑了时间因素问题;突出了盘区回采时,地表的沉陷和变形随回采推进的发展变化,计算和绘图全部计算机化;一个主程序用于计算和绘图,其它一些程序用于参数选择。计算的理论曲线与实例曲线以及相应的数值对比的结果,证明两者在各个回采期都吻合。由于该方法可根据实测结果灵活地选择参数,处理复杂的回采区的影响和考虑时间因素问题,因此它能有效地解决各种与地表移动和变形有关的工程实际问题,本文导出的公式与结论以及设计的程序,对类似的煤矿都普遍适用。
