An experiment is conducted to investigate the effects of lubricant10#, which contains extreme pressure additives T304 and T305, on the rolling contact fatigue （RCF） life of the contact pairs of a si3n4 ceramic ball and a steel rod. The experimental investigation is carried out using a ball-rod RCF test rig. The results show that the extreme pressure additives increase the anti-contact-fatigue performance of ceramic balls; When the content of the additives varies from 1% to 5%, the increasing gradient of the RCF life curve decreases; And the oil sample with 1% T305 additive corresponds to the maximal gradient of the RCF life curve, with the RCF life being increased by about 10.77 times. The fatigue surface of the ceramic ball is analyzed with scanning electron microscope （sEM） and X-ray electron dispersion analysis（EDAX）, and the physical model of extreme pressure additives＇ increasing the RCF life of the ceramic ball is proposed. It is found that the extreme pressure additives form a corrosive film and a transfer film on the surface of the ceramic ball, which decrease the surface tangential stress, and to increase the surface energy is the most effective means for increasing the RCF life.

The aim of this investigation was to define the effectiveness of non-contact drying using ultrasonic vibrations. Disk radiators were used for carrying out experiments, and a special drying chamber was designed to provide resonant amplification of ultrasonic vibrations (from 130 to 150 dB). Drying of ginseng and other vegetables demonstrated that the application of ultrasonic vibrations reduced power inputs by 20% in comparison with convective drying. It also led to a decrease of 6% in final moisture content, if the duration of drying was constant. The level of intensification of ultrasonic drying was high (up to 50 g for 1 kg of drying material), which helped to lower the temperature of the drying agent and improve the quality of the dried products.

In addition to their visible motion such as swimming(e.g.,with the help ofﬂagella),bacteria can also exhibit nanomotion that is detectable only with highly sensitive instruments,and this study shows that it is possible to detect bacterial nanomotion using an AFM detection *** results show that the nanomotion characteristics depend on the bacterial strain,and that nanomotion can be used to sense the metabolic activity of bacteria because the oscillations are sensitive to the food preferences of the bacteria and the type of surrounding medium.

Mantle xenocrysts from early Triassic kimberlite pipes from Kharamai, Ary-Mastakh and Kuranakh fields in the Anabar shield of siberia revealing similar compositional trends were studied to estimate the superplume influence on the subcratonic lithosphere mantle （sCLM）. Pressure-temperature （PT） reconstructions using monomineral thermobarometry for 5 phases show division of the sCLM beneath the Kharamai field into 6 units： pyroxenitic Fe-rich （1-2 GPa） and Mg-rich （2-3 GPa） layers; middle with two levels of Gar-sp pyroxenites at - 3 and 4-5 GPa; Gar-dunite-harzburgites - 4.5-6.5 GPa subjected to llm-Px vein metasomatism; and a Mg-rich dunite lower part. In the Anabar shield （Ary-Mastakh, Dyuken and Kuranakh fields） mantle lithosphere is composed of three large units divided into two parts： upper part with amphiboles and phlogopite; two levels of pyroxenites and eclogites at 3 and 4 GPa, and a lower part composed of refertilized dunites. Diagrams showing P-Fe#Gar clusters for garnets and omphacites illustrate the differences between sCLM of these localities. Differences of Triassic sCLM from Devonian sCLM are in simple layering; abundance of na-Cr-amphiboles and metasomatism in the upper sCLM part, thick pyroxenite-eclogite layer and lower part depletion, heated from sCLM base to 5.0 GPa. Kharamai mantle clinopyroxenes represent three geochemical types：（1） harzburgitic with inclined linear REE, HFsE troughs and elevated Th, U; （2） lherzolitic or pyroxenitic with round TRE patterns and decreasing incompatible elements; （3） eclogitic with Eu troughs, Pb peak and high LILE content. Calculated parental melts for garnets with humped REE patterns suggest dissolution of former Cpx and depression means Cpx and garnets extraction. Clinopyroxenes from Ary-Mastakh fields show less in- dined REE patterns with HMREE troughs and an increase of incompatible elements. The present research work has been carried out on biomass based on 10 kW capacity gasifier power generation system installed at College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology,*** Deshmukh Agricultural University(***),Akola Maharashtra,*** main objectives were to evaluate various costs and benefits involved in the power generation *** costs of energy per unit were calculated for the first year of *** economics of gasifier based power generation system and thereby the feasibility of the system was examined by estimating per unit cost,net Present value(nPv),Benefit Cost Ratio(BCR),Internal Rate of Return(IRR)and payback *** discount cash flow method was used to find out the *** the present analysis,three costs viz.,installed capital cost,operation and maintenance cost,and levelised replacement cost were examined for the evaluation of the power generation per *** rate on investment in case of subsidy(Case I)and in case without subsidy(Case II)for installation cost of system was considered as 12.75%.The BCR comes in Case I for operating duration of 22 h,20 h,and 16 h are 1.24,1.18,and 1.13,*** for Case II BCR comes 1.44,1.38,and *** IRR comes in Case I for operating duration of 22 h,20 h,and 16 h are 26%,22%,and 19%,*** for Case II,IRR comes 52%,44%,and 39%for operating duration of 22 h,20 h,and 16 h,*** payback period in the present analysis was worked *** payback period for biomass based gasifier power generation system was observed to be for Case I from three to four years and for Case II it was one to two years.

The oxidation of aluminium was studied using optical emission spectroscopy （OEs） during the evaporation of aluminium in traces of oxygen in a thermal plasma reactor. The ratio of the measured line intensities of Al-O with that of Al follows the exact trend as of that obtained from the corresponding line intensities in X-ray diffraction spectra of the synthesized samples. In this paper the inherent capacity of emission spectroscopy in evaluating the growth processes under plasma induced reactions is presented.

This article provides a report on the effect of multiaxial deformation(MAD) on the structure, texture, mechanical characteristics, and corrosion resistance of the Mg-0.8(wt.)% Ca alloy. MAD was carried out on the alloy in the as-cast and the annealed states in multiple passes, with a stepwise decrease in the deformation temperature from 450 to 250 ℃ in 50 ℃ steps. The cumulative true strain at the end of the process was 22.5. In the case of the as-cast alloy, this resulted in a refined microstructure characterized by an average grain size of 2.7 μm and a fraction of high-angle boundaries(HABs) of 57.6%. The corresponding values for the annealed alloy were 2.1 μm and 68.2%. The predominant mechanism of structure formation was associated with discontinuous and continuous dynamic recrystallization acting in concert. MAD was also shown to lead to the formation of a rather sharp prismatic texture in the as-cast alloy, whilst in the case of the annealed one the texture was weakened. A displacement of the basal poles {00.4} from the periphery to the center of a pole figure was observed. These changes in the microstructure and texture gave rise to a significant improvement of the mechanical characteristics of the alloy. This included an increase of the ultimate tensile strength reaching 308 MPa for annealed material and 264 MPa for the as-cast one in conjunction with a twofold increase in ductility. A further important result of the MAD processing was a reduction of the rate of electrochemical corrosion, as indicated by a significant decrease in the corrosion current density in both microstructural states of the alloy studied.
