Wheat sharp eyespot, a stem disease caused by the soilborne fungus Rhizoctonia cerealis van der hoeven.has become a threat to wheat production worldwide. Exploiting resistance resources from wild relatives of wheat is a promising strategy for controlling this disease. In this study, a new wheat–Dasypyrum villosum T2DS·2v#4L translocation line in the background of Chinese Spring(CS) showed stable resistance to R. cerealis. Introgression of the T2DS·2v#4L chromosome into wheat cultivar Aikang 58 by backcrossing produced a marked increase in sharp eyespot resistance in nIL-T2DS·2v#4L in comparison with nILT2DS·2DL, and no detrimental effects of 2v#4L on agronomic traits were observed in the BC2F2, BC2F2:3,and BC2F2:4generations. Flow-sorted sequencing of 2v#4L yielded 384.3 Mb of assembled sequence, and8836 genes were predicted of which 6154 had orthologs in at least one of the 2AL, 2BL, and 2DL arms of CS, whereas 1549 genes were unique to 2v#4L. About 100,000 SnPs were detected in genes of 2v#4L and2DL in 10 sequenced bread wheat cultivars. A Kompetitive Allele Specific Polymerase chain reaction and30 conserved ortholog sequence markers were developed to trace the 2v#4L chromatin in wheat backgrounds. T2DS·2v#4L compensating translocation lines represent novel germplasm with sharp eyespot resistance and the markers will allow rapid detection in breeding programs.

Let G = （v, E） be a finite, simple and undirected graph with p vertices and q edges. An （a, d）-vertex-antimagic total labeling of G is a bijection f from v（G） t2 E（G） onto the set of consecutive integers 1, 2,... ,p ＋ q, such that the vertex-weights form an arithmetic progression with the initial term a and difference d, where the vertex-weight of x is the sum of the value f（x） assigned to the vertex x together with all values f（xy） assigned to edges xy incident to x. Such labeling is called super if the smallest possible labels appear on the vertices. In this paper, we study the properties of such labelings and examine their existence for 2r-regular graphs when the difference d is 0, 1,..., r ＋ 1.

Forest stands in the semi-arid environment of northern Mongolia have an essential role in controlling ongoing desertification in the surrounding *** the last decade,the total forest area has decreased *** aim of this study was to evaluate the potential of natural regeneration as an essential element for ensuring sustainability of these *** on field measurements from 120 plots in six sites,our assessment tool revealed five qualitative categories of forest regeneration,allowing us to assess impacts of both grazing and environmental conditions on the regeneration *** is a crucial factor and adversely affects *** sites with relatively low grazing intensity,low soil moisture levels represent the main reason for reduced *** approach to classification proposed in this study allows for the identification and interpretation of stand conditions where natural regeneration.has *** study provides an important foundation to inform decisionmaking related to land protection and restoration *** findings could be used in comparative studies and,importantly,may aid further mapping of Mongolian forests.

Development of non-Labeled QCM Biosensor for the Detection of <i>β</i>-Galactosidase: A Comparative Study of Gold and Polystyrene nanoparticles

The performance of gold and polystyrene nanoparticles was investigated using quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) as sensor platform;β-Galactosidase antibody with corresponding antigen was utilized for the immunoreaction. The development of the immunosensor included: 1) formation of self assembled monolayers on quartz crystals;2a) immobilization of p-aminothiophenol functionalized gold nanoparticles on carboxyl-terminated self assembled monolayer, or 2b) immobilization of polystyrene nanoparticles on crystals modified with p-aminothiophenol self assembled monolayer;3) attachment of monoclonal anti β-Gal on nanoparticles;and 4) detection of target analyte. The nanoparticles used were syn.hesized in.house and characterized by transmission electron microscopy and infrared spectroscopy. The results revealed that antibodies were strongly attached to functionalized gold nanoparticles;the weaker immobilization of antibodies to polystyrene nanoparticles provoked their detachment during antigen detection. When cross reactivity of polystyrene nanoparticles was checked using a different antigen (Brucella), displacement of antibody was not recorded, demonstrating specificity of the reaction. To the best of our knowledge this is the first direct comparison between behaviors of biosensors developed with two commonly used nanoparticles. The results showed that both nanoparticles produced biosensors capable to detect β-Gal. nevertheless biosensors developed using polystyrene nanoparticles are simpler, cheaper and more eco-friendly than those developed using gold nanoparticles.

Introduced the characteristics of series communicat io n I 2C bus and basic communication protocol, and introduced the application of the bus I 2C according to the image sensor *** computer correspondence s tyle can be divided the parallel correspondence and the series correspondence. T he rate of series correspondence is rapid, and the property of real time is exce llent. Because the number of ports which it takes is great, it is not proper to miniaturize. Whereas the rate of series correspondence is low, but when the corr espondence of data is not great, it is simpleconvenient and agile to dispose t he circuit. Commonly series correspondence divide syn.hronization correspondence and asyn.hronies correspondence. The standard of interface RC232 is series asyn chronies correspondence. Recently the standard of bus I 2C is adopted widely in the micro-electronics correspondence realm, it is a special form of syn.hr onization correspondence. I 2C bus is a two-cabledouble-direction series co rrespondence bus. The address of the machine is set in.hardware, and software pe rform the search of the address instead of hardware. So it reduce the number of the corresponding cable, moreover it predigest the design of the hardware. It resolve many interface problems in design of numeric circuit. More and more se miconductor manufacturer accept the standard. Its characteristics can be listed as followed. In text, the image sensor ov7610 is introduced as the example the bus I 2C appl ication.

The compounds have been syn.hesized and characterized by routine MS, IR and nMR spectrometry methods. The compounds are all active on bacterial strains with the exception of Salmonella typhimirium, with a MIC value of 7.5 mg/mL. They show a percentage of anti-radical activity of 75.476 ± 5.070 for the compound DAn-S and of 68.142 ± 6.539 for the compound DAn-ov. The compounds are sensitive to the two champions used. DAn-S compound is then the most active.

Background: hereditary diffuse gastric cancer (hDGC) is defined by germline mu tations in the E-cadherin gene, *** first family in which CDh-1 mutatio ns were identified was a large Maori kindred, where lifetime penetrance is 70%. Prophylactic gastrectomy is an unacceptable option for many mutation carriers. T he results of annual chromoendoscopic surveillance using the methylene blue/cong o red technique in 33 mutation carriers over a five year period are described. P atients and methods: Thirty three confirmed CDh-1 mutation carriers(18 males, 1 5 females), median age 32 years (range 14-69),were enrolled in 1999-2003. Medi cal records, endoscopy, and pathology were reviewed retrospectively. Results: ov er five years, 99 surveillance endoscopies were performed, of which 93 were chro mo-dye enhanced. Sixty nine chromoendoscopies were normal. In 24 procedures, 1 -6 pale areas/stomach (size 2-10 mm) were detected post chromo-dye applicatio n (totalling 56 pale lesions). One biopsy was taken from each pale lesion: 23 le sions (41%) showed signet ring cell carcinoma (10 patients),10 lesions (18%) g astritis (four patients), and 23 (41%) normal mucosa (10 patients). no chromo- dyes were used in six procedures with macroscopic lesions (two hDGC, four ulcera tion).Total gastrectomies from patients with carcinoma were macroscopically norm al but pathological mapping showed multiple microscopic foci of early signet rin g cell carcinoma. Correlation of chromoendoscopic and gastrectomy findings showe d that congo red/methylene blue detected carcinoma foci 4-10 mm in size but not focinclusions: The use of chromoendoscopy following normal white ligh t gastroscopy facilitated detection of early gastric carcinoma foci not visible with white light gastroscopy. If these findings are validated in other hDGC kind red, chromogastroscopy represents an improved survei- llance technique that can be safely considered alongside prophylactic gastrect omy.
