MYC plays a central role in tumorigenesis by orchestrating cell proliferation,growth and survival,among other transformation *** particular,MYC has often been associated with *** fact,MYC overexpressing lymphomas such as high-grade B-cell lymphoma(HGBL)and double expressor diffuse large B-cell lymphomas(DLBCL),are considered addicted to *** such a context,MYC targeting therapies are of special interest,as MYC withdrawal is expected to result in tumor ***,whether high MYC levels are always predictive of increased sensitivity to these approaches is not clear *** though no MYC inhibitor has received regulatory approval to date,substantial efforts have been made to investigate avenues to render MYC a druggable ***,we summarize the different classes of molecules currently under development,which mostly target MYC indirectly in aggressive B-cell lymphomas,paying special attention to subtypes with MYC/BCL2 or BCL6 translocations or overexpression.

BACKGROUnD The inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor(IMT)is a rare mesenquimal tumor of doubtful biological ***’s characterised for affecting mainly children and young adults,although it can appear at any age,being the lungs the primary affected organ(in children it represents 20%of all primary pulmonary tumors).CASE SUMMARY We present the case of a 45 year old woman,with a computed tomography(CT)finding of injury on the anterior surface of the fundus/gastric body and a solid perigastric injury of 12 mm in the *** case is presented in the tumor committee deciding to perform a laparoscopic wedge *** histological diagnosis was a *** diagnosis is based on imaging tests like the abdominal CT,abdominal ecography and the ecoendoscopy but to confirm the diagnosis a pathological study is *** Due to the unpredictable nature of this tumor,surgical resection is the best therapeutic option.

Processing bioactive peptides from natural sources using electrodialysis with ultrafiltration membranes(EDUF)have gained attention since it can fractionate in terms of their charge and molecular *** is a pseudo-cereal highlighted by its high protein content,amino acid profile and adapting growing *** present work aimed at the production of quinoa peptides through fractionation using EDUF and to test the fractions according to antihypertensive and antidiabetic *** data showed the production of peptides ranging between 0.4 and 1.5 k ***(CQPF)(3.01%),anionic(AQPF)(1.18%)and the electrically neutral fraction quinoa protein hydrolysate(QPH)-EDUF(~95%)were ***-vitro studies showed the highest glucose uptake modulation in L6 cell skeletal myoblasts in presence of QPH-EDUF and AQPF(17%and 11%)indicating potential antidiabetic *** antihypertensive effect studied in-vivo in spontaneously hypertensive rats(SHR),showed a decrease in systolic blood pressure in presence of the fractionated peptides,being 100 mg/kg a dose comparable to Captopril(positive control).These results contribute to the current knowledge of bioactive peptides from quinoa by reporting the relevance of EDUF as tool to produce selected peptide ***,further characterization is needed towards peptide sequencing,their respective role in the metabolism and scaling-up production using EDUF.

We present a rare case of spontaneous trans-splenic shunt and intra-splenic collaterals in a patient with liver cirrhosis and portal *** shunt and presence of cirrhosis and portal hypertension was incidentally detected by abdominal computed tomographic imaging during evaluation for abdominal *** has been a single report on the presence of trans-splenic shunt in two children with extra-hepatic portal venous obstruction but no cases that report intra-splenic collaterals:to the best of our knowledge,this is the first reported case of spontaneous trans-splenic shunt in the presence of intra-splenic collaterals and incidental multiple splenic artery aneurysms that developed in an adult with compensated cirrhosis and portal hypertension.

The experimental work reported here is devoted to the study of the luminous activity of a long dielectric barrier discharge （DBD） afterglow at atmospheric pressure. The discharge plasma is generated in a commercially available （AcXys Technologies） reactor, using a n2 flow of a few tens SL/min, whereas the luminous afterglow when channelled into a quartz tube extends at a distance of 50 cm, finishing in a luminous arrow at the tube＇s exit. The luminous activity of the afterglow is studied by means of photomultiplier scans and optical emission spectroscopy, revealing an interesting transient phase. An attempt is made to correlate this effect with the active species＇ creation and destruction mechanisms.

Objective: To investigate the effects of a dry aqueous extract of notobasis syriaca(n. syriaca)on lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced inflammation in rats. Methods: Rats were fed the dried extract [500 mg/(kg·d)] for three consecutive days and then were intraperitoneally injected with LPS(1 mg/kg). Two hours after LPS injection, rats were sacrificed and blood and brain regions were collected. Inflammatory mediators' levels in plasma and homogenates of brain regions were determined by ELISA. Results: Pretreatment with the n. syriaca extract resulted in significant anti-inflammatory effects(Pncluding: i) attenuated LPS-induced hypothermia; ii) decreased hypothalamus and hippocampus prostaglandin E_2 levels in the LPStreated rats; and, iii) reduced hypothalamus and hippocampus interleukin-6 and tumor necrosis factor-a levels in the LPS-treated rats. Conclusions: These results suggest that n. syriaca possesses anti-inflammatory properties. Thus, it is possible that long-term consumption of this plant may result in beneficial pharmacological effects.

1997年12月至1998年2月,我们对南极半岛席尔瓦角善于飞翔海鸟与企鹅的取食关联性进行了研究,同时调查了取食集团中主要鸟种的食性。发现每个取食集团中有35.6-37.0只善于飞翔的海鸟,其中几乎都有纹颊企鹅群(Pygoscelis antarctica),黑背鸥(Larus dominicanus)、灰贼鸥(Catharacta maccormicki)、花斑鹱(Daptioncapensis)和巨鹱(Macronectes giganteus)是各集团中最常见的鸟类。各取样单元内有相关性的种数随季节变化而减少,一些种类的减少与特定的物候期有关。南极磷虾(Euphausia superba)是绝大部分飞翔海鸟的主要食物,研究发现黑背鸥与纹颊企鹅所捕食的南极磷虾的大小最为接近。飞翔海鸟的觅食行为表明:在海面上短时停留的飞翔海鸟也能够成功捕捉到磷虾,这可能与磷虾躲避企鹅的捕食有关。

Primary crystallization process of rapidly solidified Al-ni-Cu-nd metallic glasses under continuous heating regime

Rapidly solidified Al 87 ni 7Cu 3nd 3 metallic glasses were prepared by using melt spinning. Its calorimetric behavior was characterized by using differential scanning calorimeter. The metallic glasses were partially crystallized under continuous heating regime. Primary crystallization was studied through structural characterization of the amorphous and partially crystallized ribbons by means of conventional X ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy with selected area electron diffraction. The results show that, the as spun ribbons are fully amorphous and homogeneous on the micron scale, but contain high density of nanoscale quenched in clusters or crystallite embryos. Primary crystallization mainly leads to formation of two phase mixture of α Al nanocrystalline and residual amorphous phase. Precipitation of α Al nanoparticles is limited by build up and overlapped diffusion field of solute atoms with low diffusion rate. At the earlier stage of primary crystallization the crystal nuclei exhibit high density and growth rate. With the α Al crystal growing, the crystal growth rate decreases, and even at the later stage further crystallization into α Al crystal becomes difficult to occur due to thermal stabilization of the residual nickel and neodymium enriched amorphous phase, the saturated values of crystallized volume fraction and α Al crystal diameter getting to 20%30% and 515 nm.
