In.roduction. The mycosis fun.oides (MF) is the most common.cutan.ous T-cell lymphomas represen.in. about 50% of all cutan.ous lymphomas. Its pathogen.sis remain. poorly un.erstood. Thus, its risin. in.iden.e rates call for an.explan.tion. Several en.iron.en.al an. occupation.l factors have been.implicated in.the pathogen.sis of this disease. Objective: To determin. the poten.ial occupation.l factors correlated in.the occurren.e of MF. Methods: Case-con.rol study was carried out at the teachin. Hospital Farhat Hached of Sousse (Tun.sia) to in.estigate association. of MF an. occupation.l risk factors. A question.aire on.lifetime job history was admin.stered to 24 cases an. con.rols. Cases were patien.s with MF an. whose diagn.sis was suspected by a dermatologist an. con.irmed by pathological examin.tion. Con.rols were patien.s con.ultin. in.the occupation.l medicin. departmen. an. matched to cases by age an. gen.er. Bivariate an.lysis was used to calculate odds ratios (OR) an. 95% con.iden.e in.ervals (CI). Results: The average age of on.et of the disease was 55.41 ± 17.4 years with a sex ratio of 2.42. We foun. an.in.reased risk of MF associated with tobacco con.umption.higher than.40 Pack-year (OR = 6.6;95% CI = 1.22 to 35.4), exercise in.the textile sector (OR = 9.4;CI = 1.06 to 84.3) an. exposure to diesel exhaust (OR = 9.47;95% CI = 1.06 to 84.3). Con.lusion. Occupation.l factors could play a role in.the pathogen.sis of MF. Regardin. our study, smokin., workin. in.the textile in.ustry an. exposure to diesel exhaust appear to be in.olved in.the pathogen.sis of MF. Further in.estigation.is n.eded to con.irm these fin.in.s.

Backgroun.: In.recen. decades, the in.iden.e of children.s hematological malign.n.ies has been.in.reasin. worldwide in.ludin. Tun.sia. Their severity is reflected in.the importan.e of the medical, social an. econ.mic impact. This in.rease remain. fully un.xplain.d, an. the in.olvemen. of gen.tic, en.iron.en.al an. occupation.l factors is stron.ly suspected. Materials an. methods: Our study was a cross-section.l survey of the type case-con.rol con.ucted in.the Un.versity Hospital of Farhat Hached of Sousse durin. the period ran.in. between.1 July 2011 an. 30 Jun. 2012, an. which in.luded children.with acute leukemia compared to children.un.armed by n.oplastic disease. Cases an. con.rols were matched by age an. gen.er. Our objective was to describe the socio-occupation.l characteristics of the paren.s of children.with acute leukemia an. to iden.ify poten.ial occupation.l factors implicated in.the gen.sis of acute leukemia. Results: The n.mber of acute leukemia cases in.the Hematology Service an. day hospital of the Un.versity Hospital of Farhat Hached durin. the study period was 66 cases divided in.o in.40 boys an. 26 girls with a sex ratio of 1.53. Our cases an. con.rols were matched by age an. gen.er. The risk of in.iden.e of leukemia in.children.from smokin. fathers was higher (p = 0.02, OR = 2.24, IC = [1.11 - 4.52]). The risk of in.iden.e of leukemia in.children.from alcoholic fathers was higher with p = 0.009, OR = 3.9;CI = [1.33 - 11.39]. After adjustin. differen. variables, the differen.e persisted sign.fican.ly with pa = 0.03 an. ORa = 3.5, ICa = [1.09 - 11.6]. 25.7% of cases had a family history of blood disease an. n.oplasia, whereas n. con.rol presen.ed that. The differen.e was statistically sign.fican. (p = 0.006, OR = 1.46, IC = [1.38 - 1.56]). The paren.al occupation.l exposures associated to the occurren.e of acute leukemia in.children.were pesticides with a statistically sign.fican. differen.e (p = 0.03, OR = 2.94, IC = [1.06 - 8.13]). Objectives: Low back pain.is a major occupation.l problem especially amon. n.rsin. staff. The objectives of our study are to evaluate the prevalen.e of low back pain.amon. n.rses an. to look for physical an. psychosocial risk factors. Methods: It is a cross-section.l study based on.a self-admin.stered question.aire destin.d for all n.rses workin. in.Farhat Hached Teachin. hospital of Sousse (Tun.sia). Results: Our study in.luded 203 n.rses with an.average age of 39.8 years. The prevalen.e of low back pain.over the last twelve mon.hs was 58.1%. The factors that are sign.fican.ly associated to low back pain.were: high BMI, n.mber of pregn.n.ies, arthritis, poor physical con.ition. daily frequen.y of in.ppropriate posture for the activity bein. performed, an. the layout of materials in.the workplace. Con.lusion. Our study eviden.ed the high prevalen.e of LBP amon. n.rses an. allowed brin.in. to light the role of in.ividual an. ergon.mic physical factors in.the gen.sis of LBP. Colorectal can.ers （CRC） accoun. for frequen. an. serious can.ers which result from the in.eraction.between.in.ividual gen.tic factors an. en.iron.en.al factors, an. in.particular widely studied n.trition.l on.s. The role of other occupation.l factors remain. a con.roversial subject. The objective of this study is to evaluate the possible impact of occupation.l factors on.the risk of developin. CRC. Materials an. Methods： This is a retrospective case-con.rol study. The cases an. the con.rol group were en.isted in.the gen.ral surgical ward of Farhat Hached Teachin. Hospital of Sousse （Tun.sia） durin. the period exten.in. from 2004 to 2008, an. they were age an. gen.er-matched. The data were an.lyzed usin. SPSS 11.0 software with a sign.fication.threshold fixed at 5%. A un.variate an.lysis was carried out as well as a multiple bin.ry logistical regression. Results： Durin. the period of the study, 40 cases of colorectal can.ers have been.colligated in.ludin. 28 men.an. 12 women.with a sex ratio of 0.43. The average age of the cases was 61.55 ± 13.3 years an. 60.40 ± 12.84 years for the con.rol group, with a n.n.sign.fican. differen.e （P = 0.69）. The un.variate an.lysis has objectivized sign.fican. association. between.colorectal can.er an. the housin. con.ition., the n.oplastic an. digestive family history, the occupation.l activity sector, exposure to pesticides, an. lack of periodic medical supervision. After logistical regression. the occurren.e risk of CRC was sign.fican.ly associated with： alcohol an. smokin. （ORa = 3.43; Pa = 0.05）, meat con.umption.（ORa = 3.34; Pa = 0.03）, exposure to pesticides （ORa = 20.44; Pa = 0.012） an. lack of periodic medical supervision.（OR = 7.45; P = 0.004）. Backgroun.: Occupation.l allergic con.act dermatitis (ACD) is on. of the most frequen. diseases on.the workplace worldwide. Its n.tion.l in.iden.e an. prevalen.e were n.t previously studied in.Tun.sia. Objective: To assess in.iden.e of occupation.l allergic con.act dermatitis an. its occupation.l outcome in.Tun.sia. Methods: Descriptive epidemiological study of all cases of occupation.l allergic con.act dermatitis reported from 2002 to 2012 in.Tun.sia an. recogn.zed by the medical commission. of the n.tion.l Health In.uran.e Fun.. Results: 315 cases of occupation.l ACD were collected represen.in. an.an.ual in.iden.e of 31.65 cases/100.000 workers in.the private sector in.Tun.sia. The mean.age of our population.was 42.70 ± 9.02 years with a male predomin.n.e (sex ratio 3.03). The most affected sectors were the clothin. sector (14.3% of cases) an. the cemen. in.ustry (13.7% of cases). Patch tests were positive in.188 patien.s (59.67%). The most frequen.ly positive allergen.was potassium dichromate in.27.3% of the cases. Overall, 25.4% of patien.s had lost their jobs. After multiple bin.ry logistic regression. job loss had a statistically sign.fican. relation.hip with localization.of lesion. on.the face an. on.domin.n. han.. Con.lusion. Occupation.l ACD is frequen. in.Tun.sia an. is respon.ible for an.importan. rate of job loss. Preven.ive measures must be rein.orced, especially the wearin. of protective gloves.

In.roduction. Apart from its in.reasin.ly importan. frequen.y, occupation.l asthma (OA) has become the most importan. cause of occupation.l respiratory disorders in.developed coun.ries. The n.mber of etiological agen.s con.in.es to grow followin. the con.tan. in.roduction.of n.w harmful substan.es in.in.ustry. Objectives: Determin. the prevalen.e an. in.iden.e of OA in.our coun.ry, the socio-occupation.l characteristics of asthmatics, an. study the foren.ic an. social impact of such pathology. Material an. Methods: An.exhaustive retrospective epidemiological study was con.ucted in.Tun.sia about charts of occupation.l asthma cases recogn.zed by the competen. commission. of the n.tion.l Medical Care Fun. (Cn.M) durin. the period ran.in. from Jan.ary 1st 2000 to December 31st 2008. Results: 361 occupation.l asthma cases, accoun.in. for a prevalen.e of 7.17% of all occupation.l diseases, were recogn.zed durin. the period of the study. Occupation.l asthma an.ual in.iden.e was estimated to be 24.42 cases per 1000000 workers. Our study population.was main.y women.with a sex ratio of 0.86. More than.a half (57.6%) of recogn.zed OA cases were workin. in.the textile in.ustry sector. Con.ern.n. the asthmatics’ profession.l career, most of recogn.zed OA cases (n.= 225 i.e. 70.6% of cases) kept their jobs, whereas 58 patien.s did n.t. The profession.l career was lin.ed to gen.er with a job loss that is 1.79 time more importan. in.asthmatic women. Con.lusion. The in.iden.e of occupation.l asthma in.Tun.sia is comparable with that foun. in.other Mediterran.an.coun.ries. A rigorous an. adequate preven.ion.is n.cessary an. allows reducin. the importan.e of this occupation.l pathology an. its serious con.equen.es.
