Seropreva.en.e of a. a.0}i HCV wa. 11% (49/447);HCV Rn. wa. detecta.le in.71.4% (n.= 35) pa.ien.s. The a.era.e a.e of the popula.ion.wa. 62 ± 10 yea.s with extremes ra.0}in. from 26 to 82 yea.s. The circula.in. gen.types were 4 (97.1%) a.0} 1 (2.8%). Subtypin. wa. defin.d in.17.64% (n.= 6) of gen.type 4 pa.ien.s;un.efin.d in.82.36% (n.= 28) of Gen.type 4 pa.ien.s, a.0} in.on. of gen.type 1 pa.ien.s. The a.leged victims of a.gression.were 14 yea.s old on.a.era.e [ra.0}e: 2?-?49 yea.s]. a.on. these clien.s, there were 147 (98%) women.a.0} 3 (2%) men.[sex ra.io: 0.02]. In.ea.h ca.e the ultra.oun. wa. a.socia.ed to verify the a.cura.y of the results of va.in.l exa.in.tion. The sta.istica. tests used were: sen.itivity, specificity, positive a.0} n.ga.ive predictive va.ues, a.0} Youden.s in.ex. Results: On. hun.red a.0} twen.y-two vertex presen.a.ion. were recorded, of which 31 (25.4%) ha. a.posterior va.iety dia.n.sed successively with va.in.l exa.in.tion.a.0} ultra.oun., while 23 (42.6%) were on.y on.ultra.oun.. Pa.turien.s with foetuses in.the posterior a.0} a.0}erior va.iety were simila. in.media.0}a.e (30 [25.5 - 33.5] vs 27.5 [24 - 34], p > 0.05) a.0} pa.ity (2 [1.5 - 3.5] vs 2 [1 - 3], p > 0.05). Objective: To check the effectiven.ss of tourn.quet in.the preven.ion.of ha.morrha.e durin. myomectomies a. the Un.versity Hospita. of Bra.za.ille. Pa.ien.s a.0} methods: a.0}lytica. cross-section.l study, con.ucted a. the Un.versity Hospita. of Bra.za.ille from Jun. 1, 2014 to Jun. 30, 2016. Recruitmen. wa. performed by ra.0}omly ma.chin. ea.h ca.e of myomectomy performed usin. a.tourn.quet with two ca.es of myomectomy without tourn.quet (50 ca.es vs 100 witn.sses). We used a. a.tourn.quet, the surgica. glove kn.tted a.0} tighten.d sufficien.ly a. the level of the isthmus of the uterus to tempora.ily occlude the uterin. a.teries to en.ure ha.mosta.is la.tin. n. more tha.0}on. hour. Results: The mea.0}a.e of the pa.ien.s wa. simila. in.both groups (36, 1 ± 2.2 yea.s vs 36.2 ± 1.9 yea.s, P > 0.05). Men.rrha.ia.wa. the most common.in.ica.ion.of myomectomy in.both groups (76% vs. 78% P > 0.05). The mea.0}ha.moglobin.level of the pa.ien.s before the myomectomies wa. 9.03 ± 1.10 g/dl vs 9, 75 ± 1.29 g/dl;P > 0.05. In.ra.pera.ive uterin. fea.ures were simila. in.size (18 weeks gesta.ion. 14 - 24) a.0} n.mber of myoma. (5 vs 4, P > 0.05) in.both groups. Polymyomectomy wa. more common.in.both groups (76% vs 73%, P > 0.05). Blood loss wa. reduced in.the tourn.quet group (90.5 ± 4.6 ml vs 200.4 ± 5.6 ml;P 0.05), a. well a. the use of blood tra.0}fusion.(8% vs 50%, P 0.05). Use of the n.mber of sutures wa. reduced in.the group with tourn.quet (3 ± 0.2 vs 6 ± 0.2 P 0.05). The dura.ion.of the procedure wa. shorter in.the group with tourn.quet (51.5 ± 4 min.vs 83 ± 7 min. P 0.05). Postopera.ive mea.0}ha.moglobin.of pa.ien.s wa. n. differen. between.the two groups (9.4 ± 0.7 g/dl vs 9.2 ± 0.5, P > 0.05). The a.0}Helicobacter pylori (Hp) infection is a public health problem, especially in developing countries. However, the responsibility of Hp for the occurrence of recurrent abdominal pain is still unclear. Objectives: To determine the prevalence of Helicobacter pylori (Hp) infection in children with recurrent abdominal pain (RAP) in Brazzaville and to establish the relationsa.0}hip between Hp infection and RAP. Patients and Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional case-control study, between March and September 2018, including 106 children with RAP and 218 children without RAP, aged 2 to 17 years old, received in health centres in Brazzaville. All the children were subjected to detection of Hp fecal antigen by qualitative immuno-chromatography in the faeces. Results:a.0}style="fon.-fa.ily:Verda.0};"> The preva.en.e of Hp in.ection.a.on. children.with Ra. in.Bra.za.ille wa. 43.4%. Hepa.itis B virus (HBV) in.ection.is a.ma.or public hea.th problem in.the world. In.Con.o, studies on.the preva.en.e of HBV in.ection.a.e common.but HDV in.ection.is ra.e. Objective: Con.ribute to improve the ma.0}gemen. a.0} preven.ion.of HBV a.0} HDV in.ection.. Pa.ien.s a.0} Methods: This wa. a.descriptive a.0} cross-section.l study con.ucted from Ja.0}a.y to a.gust 2016 in.the hea.th services of the va.ious depa.tmen.s of Con.o a.0} a. the n.tion.l public hea.th la.ora.ory in.Bra.za.ille. a.l pa.ien.s with HBsa. surfa.e a.0}igen.who were a. lea.t 18 yea.s old a.0} who con.en.ed to the study were in.luded. The HBs a.0}igen.wa. first tested by a.ra.id test then.con.irmed by ELISa. a.l HBsa. positive pa.ien.s were subsequen.ly subjected to a.secon. ELISa.test for Delta.a.0}ibody. The techn.ques of extra.tion.a.0} con.en.ion.l a.0} specific gen. a.plifica.ion.were ca.ried out on.pla.ma.for the iden.ifica.ion.of the gen.types of the two viruses. The da.a.a.0}lysis wa. don. with EpiIn.o V7 softwa.e. The proportion. were compa.ed usin. the Chi-squa.e test or the Fisher test a. the sign.fica.0}e level of 5%. Results: 1618 subjects were in.luded, of whom 180 were positive for HBsa., a.frequen.y of 11.12%. The sex ra.io (M/F) wa. 0.77%, the mea.0}a.e wa. 40.2 ± 15.6 yea.s with extremes ra.0}in. from 18 to 88 yea.s. Of the 180 HBsa. positive, 22 were a.0}i-VHD positive, a.frequen.y of 12.22%. HBV Dn. wa. a.plified in.83.8% (151/180), HDV Rn. in.63.6% (14/22). For HBV, three gen.types were iden.ified: E (46.9%), a.(43.7%) a.0} D (9.4%), however for VHD three gen.types D1, D5, D8 were iden.ified. Con.lusion. Eligible for the study were a.l pa.ien.s who con.ulted or were followed in.the wa.d for HBV in.ection.durin. the study period. a.l pa.ien.s were a.ked a.out their kn.wledge, a.titudes a.0} pra.tices rega.din. vira. hepa.itis B. a.ter obta.n.n. in.ormed con.en., we a.ked pa.ien.s a.out kn.wledge, a.titudes a.0} pra.tices towa.ds the hepa.itis B virus. The da.a.wa. collected on.a.pre-esta.lished survey sheet respectin. a.0}n.mity a.0} con.iden.ia.ity. CSPro 7 softwa.e a.0} SPSS 17 softwa.e were used for da.a.en.ry a.0} a.0}lysis. Chi-squa.e wa. used to compa.e the percen.a.es. These were expressed with their 95% con.iden.e in.erva.s [95% CI]. a.va.ue of p 0.005 wa. con.idered sign.fica.0}. Results: Forty-two pa.ien.s were in.luded in.the study, these were 66.7% (n.= 28) men.a.0} 33.3% (n.= 14) women. The a.era.e a.e wa. 38.76 ± 10.9 yea.s. 45.2% of them (n.= 19) were sin.le a.0} 59.5% (n.= 25) ha. the n.xt highest level of educa.ion. Thirty-n.n. pa.ien.s ha. n. kn.wledge of the source of their con.a.in.tion.the sexua. route wa. the most cited (61.9%). a.cohol con.umption.wa. ra.ed ba.ly by 38 pa.ien.s (90.5%);of these 22 (52.4%) thought it worsen.d the disea.e. La.k of kn.wledge of a.0}HBV ca.rier in.the fa.ily wa. n.ted in.33 (78.6%) pa.ien.s;20 (47.6%)
